My fav setup is like this.
Primary- R700 - Acog
Secondary- G36c - Silenced
perks- Frag x3, Overkill, steady aim.
I love how it can be usedwith the r700 from medium to long range and the g36 from medium to short range.

Jeeez, James. My buddy on X360 at work, he's 1.7, and to me, he's unbelievably good. I think mine just got up to 1.26, just last night.

P.S. I got my first message on the fly(during a game), from the 2.4(?) PS3 update. I was pretty excited, thought my TDM teammate wanted to communicate or something(nobody had headsets). This guy from the other team just said "fuxxxg camper"(you can count the x's, it was misspelled), and I wasn't. I covered damn near every inch of that Strike map.

Camper label things is annoying sometimes, because many people considers taking cover a camping.

Chris - What's this about Blu-ray failure? What does it do? How does it happen? Is it becoming common? :scared:

Didn't notice your post since you called me by Chris,, but the BD failure isn't quite common, it just seems like it because everyone who's PS3 fails posts about it, and everyone who's PS3 doesn't, doesn't bother with it.

Anyway, the Blu-Ray drive will stop reading any discs whatsoever (But remember the failure rate for the PS3 is 1%, so it's around IIRC, 10,000 PS3's would have it), but there is no known cause (although I have observed that people who turn their PS3 into standby and back on often, such as playing games, pressing it into standby, then returning later, seem to have the most problems, and of the people I know who leave theirs on at all times, like me, only 5% have had failures.)

So I'm going to continue with my 10-14 days on, half a day off routine, and fold some workunits on F@H, and see if it really has an effect on the lifespan of the console.

From,
Chris.

Glad to hear that it's not common for the PS3 to fail. I don't have extended warranty. Plus, I do leave mine on, all the time. I'm lazy. :D

The fire rate for the R700 would kill me in a setup like that. But then again, my accuracy isn't the greatest.

Me and C_F had 3 hour's worth of games earlier, and it was pretty good fun...

He actually beat me on a Shipment game (128, by 8 kills!), so we pretty much dominated the game. I had a much better k/d ratio though. :p

Then there was this funny moment C_F had trying to defuse a bomb on Bog... him and this dude tried to knife each other a couple of times before C_F finally got him, and then C_F walked out of the bomb room because there was some time left, and then walked into a Claymore THAT DIDN'T KILL HIM, and after that I suppose he saw sense and defused it.

Just made a new setup which I'm starting to like. This is for HTDM
Primary- G3 - silencer
Secondary- Gold dessert eagle
Perks- Bandolier (or frag x3), UAV jammer, Steady aim.
A very good setup for you single shot killers who want to roam free of discovery.

G3 without stopping power... ist it actually possible to kill somebody with that combination ? ;)

I never really liked the G3 in COD4, I just can't think of a situation where you'd want to have a G3 instead of a let's say M16. Maybe I should give it a try again, I probably didn't fire a single shot with the G3 for about 7 days or so... ( 7x24 hours online game time )...

That was hilarious. I was pretending like I was looking for more people and was gonna run back and defuse the bomb with 5.5 seconds left, and as I walked into the hallway there was a *click* CLAYMORE! But I didn't die! If I did I may've cancelled my account out of pure shame.

So nobody has sent me any invites since I said I played with my router. *hint hint*

I found an interesting thing while using an AK-47 I picked up: equip the grenade launcher. Not to actually use the Grenade Launcher (if you do I'll slap you) but because it adds a vertical line to the right of the muzzle (right word?) Using this vertical line is massively beneficial for aiming, and it is better than the RDS because using that will decrease the damage a good deal. I got 13 kills with it before I ran out of ammo. :D This is a great attachment if you can forgo the Tier 1 perk.

I picked one up sometime ago, and I've been wondeing about it since!

I started using AKs for the first time, just last week, and I noticed the sight was different than the one that I had picked up before. Just last saturday, I got done telling my coworker that weird vertical gauge must've been on the MP44, not AK as I originally thought. Now, finally, I learn the truth. Thanks. :D

I forgot to ask in the last post. Does red dot affect the fire power? Like how much?

To my understanding, it only affects the AK-47. Dunno why.

edit: Apparently, putting an RDS or Silencer on the AK will reduce power. Nothing is said about ACOG or n00b tube Source

a6m5, I keep forgetting to add you to my friends list. :p

Coincidently, I was using a grenade launcher-equipped AK yesterday for the first time to see what it would look like Gold. Pretty nice. :D

Some interesting news! Infinity Ward wants to do its own new IP! After the success of COD4 they dont want to be held down to every other COD by Activision for the rest of thier lives!

Infinity Ward renews contract, teases 'unique new IP'

Call of Duty 4 cadre reveals "renegotiated deal" with Activision, says super-secret project is in the works.

This time last year, the thought of a wholly owned developer splitting off from its parent company was unthinkable. Then, Bungie Studios stunned the industry by doing just that, amicably parting with owner Microsoft after generating over $1 billion with the Xbox and Xbox 360's flagship Halo franchise.

With the Bungie precedent hanging in the background, it appears another top-tier studio has also sat down at the table with its corporate overlord--and chosen to stay put. Late last week, Infinity Ward director of communications Robert Bowling quietly posted an update on the Iamfourzerotwo.com Web site saying "we have decided to re-up on our contract with Activision publishing" following a "recently renegotiated deal."

Perhaps more excitingly, the community manager also used the post to reveal the new agreement with Activision "has laid the groundwork and kick started our future project, as well as the possibility of a unique new IP by Infinity Ward that we'll have complete control over." (Emphasis added.) Bowling went on to say "We're excited to be working on our next project, but it's going to be quite a while before I can share any details on exactly what that project is."

Indeed, Activision had good reason to hash out a favorable arrangement with Infinity Ward, which won numerous awards for its latest effort, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Besides frequently being the most popular game on Xbox Live, the title was also last year's top cross-platform title, moving over 10 million copies as of last month. According to industry research firm the NPD Group, it is the eighth best-selling video game in US history.

So we may not have to wait long to see some greatness from IW again! :) I wonder what it will be?

Robin.

Maybe thats why I do better with a acog in the AK. Anyhow I finally saw the light of the G3 and I'm loving it.
