Anyone knows how cod4 decide host? I am almost always host on gt5p, but cod4 I have barely hosted. . Tried too search for it but didnt find any..

I thought it was probably whoever has the best connection.
 
Depends if there is a match really. I have only hosted Team Tactical and Old School FFA.

TT is really popular with aussies and I can host 6 people, dont really know how it works but if you are in a party with 6 people on team tactical, you will definitely get server, or 12 for normal TDM.

Another thing that impresses me is your accuracy when you are scoped in, I always have problems hitting enemies with the acog. What part of the reticule you go by?

Also, if you made a new account, what do you think your accuracy would be? 30? 35?

edit: forgot to add, you are at like 2% health half the time :lol:
 
In score?

I think I'm 18000ish for score, my score/time played ratio is pretty bad compared to a lot of the guys around me in the leaderboards. One guy with a score almost exactly mine (just over 1 million) had 4 days 21 hours played! :crazy: He would be ranked #1 if he played as much as a lot of the guys in the top 10.

I was in the 6000s in kills at one point, but playing mainly search and destroy (or not at all) puts me in the 9000s. I'm at 81000 kills or so, 1.22 ratio, kill streak 25. Oh and 10000 headshots :D

Why, thank you ceiling_fan. :) That Juggernaut at 1:23 did annoy me. :grumpy:

I got that good with the ACOG just by simply practicing. I've been using this setup for months and it just becomes second nature. What you want to do most of the time is get your crosshairs centered with the enemy and "quick-scope" your enemy because if you notice the ACOG sways some and if you aim and move to shoot the person, you'll likely miss if you don't have that much experience. So, don't rush to get your enemy in your ACOG.

I made a new account a week ago or so. I've been using this setup and the M40 with the normal scope and my KDr is 1.39. I don't know what my accuracy is. I'll check next time I get on. :D

Congrats on your accomplishment!!!!! :p

I got on cod for the first time in a couple weeks, as soon as I got on I got an invite from the best player I'm friends with (score ~150s global) for some S&D. I was afraid I'd be super rusty and drag down the team, but I went ahead and accepted. First match: Ambush, Weapon:MP5 with no attachment, I ended the game with 675 points (1214 after match bonus) which made it one of my best games ever. :D I rarely get more than 300 or so because my (unofficial) clan is so damn good :lol:

I made a noob mistake though guarding A from being defused in the first round, it was 1v1 and my UAV (I had 4 kills at that point) showed the last guy was coming through the tunnel below A, I waited above the exit, when he was exiting I threw a stun grenade to ensure he couldn't spin around and shoot me. Unfortunately my stun grenade bounced off the wall more than I expected it to, and it stunned me (but not him.) I always lay down when stunned, unfortunately doing so made my head pop over the top of the exit. BLAM! Pump action headshot! :mad: I was crushed... I immediately muted all eleven players and hung my head as he defused the bomb. :guilty: Probably in my top 3 most embarrassing S&D phails. :ouch:

In other news, I finally found my headset! I had lost it after a week :rolleyes: and was excited to use it again. Of course it needed charging... oh dear, where's the charge cradle? :mad: Plugging it in directly via USB didn't work either. 🤬!

Last night I went 15-2-4 in Search and Destroy on one of my least favorite maps, Showdown. 800 points in all, with no plants or defuses. We were 0-3, but we came back and won 4-3 :D
 
Ugh. I hate S&D.

But that's pretty good, from what I see.

BTW, what are our records for fusing the bomb, time-wise? I got it done within 25 seconds on Vacant.

It was by far my least favorite mode early on. When the map pack was released, they had a double XP week with a special 'Variety Objective' game mode, basically it cycled through all objective-based modes on the new maps. So I was pretty much forced to play it a lot. It's 76000 times better when you play with the same people a lot. They know your tactics and you know theirs. It definitely gets my heart beating.

On Ambush you can pick up the bomb and plant at A right away, but I'd only recommend this if your team is organized, otherwise the bomb'll get defused while your teammates are on the other side of the map :dunce: You can plant at B at Broadcast pretty quick, just run up the stairs and drop down onto the bomb and plant. Even though you're wide open, enemies are usually busy spamming nades down the hallway.
 
However, my attempt was in Sabotage, and successfully.

It's funny when you call a UAV but the Airstrike window pops up.
 
Legendary, I should be on within the next hour or two. So expect me there.

If I'm not, I'm training for a bike ride.

BTW-I killed w whole Ground War Team with one grenade (9 people!). They were all trapped in a room, I forget which map.
 
Ill try to be on, really over the whole hog my connection thing, come to think of it, maybe Ill search for some connections and scab of someone.

Very good quality, I would love a dazzle aswell, it would be so convenient.
 
You kind of have to be doing everything right for it to work well, though.

Wow... You're definitely catching up. And your accuracy has improved, too.

I need to create more c4 traps. I'm getting quite good at them.
 
Yes, I didnt give a damn about my stats when I started, my KDR is improved by about .05 from .79 to .84 I THINK, cod 5 is around 1.1. Ever since no scoping and other guns I have improved accuracy. Also, I will not prestige anymore and will just concentrate on challenges and guns now:).

All in all this should keep me going till MW2 comes out. Im not really impressed with cod5 so I havent played it much, about level 30.
 
Made another account, ShazamKablooie, sitting at 2.71 KDR and 25% accuracy. Got a triple collateral at Broadcast with M40, got a UAV with one bullet :D I was using Deep Impact because I haven't unlocked Iron Lungs yet.

Edit: and despite recent activity in this thread, CoD4 online is still going strong, I never find empty lobbies or anything.
