You went BAZERK, wow it is insane. We will not miss Sunday, it is meant to start today and end on monday. Therefore it will end around Monday afternoon or Tuesday, I dont really know.

I didn't have a good day. While getting 50/50 on a maths exam is good, doing three more isn't.

Pulled a collat on Wet-Work today. Too bad I haven't unlocked the challenge yet.

Enjoying double XP weekend so far, well on my way to 2nd prestige (i have only been playing for 7 weeks now) 👍

Even splashed out on the variety map pack whilst it was half price too!

I have to go back to school today. I made it to level 36 third prestige. Not good enough but 55 shouldn't take long. I will prestige immediately because I dont like the 3rd symbol.

In one week I have gone from level 55 to 46. It took me 1 or 2 months the first time round...

You'll be amazed how fast you make it through ninth prestige, if you go that far.

For playing online?

Keep moving - You'll rack up more kills this way. Even when using a sniper weapon - take your shot then move on, if you stick to one spot others will soon learn where you're hiding out and kill you over and over again.
Learn the maps - Rather than wandering around aimlessly, find a route with plenty of cover to follow that will take you to your favourite/most successful ambush spots.
Watch other players - Instead of quitting out of the killcam replay, watch where you were shot from and you'll discover some great locations to shoot from.

After hearing the hype of how good this game is I finally got it (with $10 off). I played it, finished it, and I have to say it's all right. I mean it didn't leave me any lasting feeling. The game is short, but has good graphic, the story - I didn't get it quite clear. Maybe, I should replay it again. I haven't play online mode yet

The single isnt great but the online is EPIC.

EDIT: Last night I hit level 55 and will get the extra XP tonight so I can prestige and go to 4th. Progressing rather nicely. Double XP will surely disappear soon so it will be back to normal leveling.

Does everyone with COD4 have a similar split-screen issue to mine.

Basically if I change more that one setting (ie map, game mode etc), COD4 will crash on the loading screen at about 1/4 of the loading bar. This happens to me aswell as all my mates.

Everything TheCracker said, including: play hardcore (either TDM or Search & Destroy). Its a tougher learning curve, but once you get to grips with it, you will have all the skills necessary to dominate all the other game modes. 👍

I think it's important to find a weapon you like and settle in with that for a while before experimenting to much. This gets you used to everything else such as the maps without having to work out the weapon in your hands as well. Once your comfy with your style of play and your surroundings (speaking of which make the most of your map when possible to spot enemies or the general direction of heavy fighting), then you can begin tp experiment with classes a little more.

Im level 13 or 14 or my 4th prestige.

I did a prestige in a week and Im proud of it.

Too bad I have been busy with study and cricket. Although I got onto a 16 kill streak, and didn't die in the whole match.

That's good advice too. If your going to go round every time, familiarise yourself with one of the weapons you first start with, and (if you can), use it as one of your go-to guns.

Now here is my THEORY.
When our download runs out (50gig) we get around 15-20kb/s downloads. Cod4 allows me to not only play at that speed but host. Therefore if we take out hosting we are left with around 10kb/s playing speed. This still seams like heaps if you think of 10kb/s running for hours every day. The game doesnt seem to take too much download a month, my estimate would be either a gig or more (that was a wild assumption).

In any case if you have over 10gig of download you should be fine to play your game aswell as have normal useage from Family. With your sisters belief, will this make it not possible for you to play online anymore? That would really suck.

Very good tips by the guys already, especially TheCrack. 👍 I was never a first person shooter guy, so it was really rough learning the game for me. Because all my buddies were obsessed with kill/death ratio, I camped like crazy in the beginning....... OK, I still do, I'm the Camping World. If you are like me & not as accurate, or not as fast as some of the guys online, I would recommend some camping. Not all things considered camping is bad.

On weapons, I'd recommend setting up two base weapons you are comfortable with. Guns you can always go back to, when you start to struggle(we've all been there except James & Dragonistic ). One for close quarter combat, then a long shot weapon(made up term). I really like MP5 for close quarter combat. Nice accuracy, fire rate, and a lot of stopping power(compared to rifles). For long shots, I think M4 or M16's pretty good. M4's full-auto, but has almost no stopping power. You'll need more bullets to kill, and you'll also run out of bullets much faster, not to mention the attention you are drawing to yourself with extended firing. M16 has no full-auto, but one burst is usually enough to kill, and you do get to conserve more ammunition. When the enemy gets close though, you are screwed.

I would still be able to play online.

However my time will more than likely be limited, if the test proves her right.

M4's full-auto, but has almost no stopping power.

With me in control of it it can take people down in just a few bullets! I love the M4, especially taking out snipers with a few short bursts from the other side of the map. Such a good feeling!

Well, my aim is one of the worst on CoD4 on Xbox or Playstation, but that's beside the point.

I do like the M4. One of the only two guns(primary) that are always saved on my custom classes, along with the MP5.

I just noticed that you are on X360 & PS3. Which system do you play CoD4 on?

Guys, I think I'm going to retire at no-scoping on CoD4 after I finish the montage I'm currently working on. It gets really frustrating and kind of boring. I'll still be playing CoD4, though.

I think I'll use my Dazzle capture card now to make drifting montages from GT5. It should go splendid when I get my G25, some time soon.

I no scope if mate wants to but not in matches etc. Im over it too. I still love cod4, although Im finding my sessions shorter and shorter, might be time to cod5 it out again. I dont like the game but I might get back into it if I start phasing out cod4.

Cod4 is my favourite game on the PS3 but I stopped playing it about just over a year ago, I've sort of finished all the objective in multiplayer that I wanted to achieve.

Desperately anticipating Modern warfare 2 now, it can't come soon enough.
