What did everyone think of the matches last night?

Are private matches the way forward?

We can get more people together in a team when it is a private match because we don't need to worry obout the server being full. I often have problems staying with a party when not in a private match and I frequently get kicked from the party also.

There is a bit more game mode customization in a private mode, I also heard some people ask for a killcam, which I was able to turn on even though it was hardcore mode.

Anybody have an opinion on this.

On another note, in the team games I was allowed to choose if I wanted to be on SAS or Spetznaz, did every one else get a choice or where you just thrown on a team.

If you do get the choice then its will be possible to set up a GTPE Vs GTPA providing we agree on a team in advance. I say for special opps EU SAS and North A Spetsnaz, for troops EU Op for and North A Marine's.

Thoughts anyone?

The few I got a chance to play in were great fun (the only downer on private matches for me was the lack of points - damn going prestige and only being in the teens for rank), I like the idea of the teams for the EU and NA, and you are given the choice of teams or you can 'auto-assign'.

The plus for me would be being on the same side as Stevisiov, who is quite frankly some bizzare COD alien, capable of placing shots into my head from the other side of the map without breaking a sweat. Some of the shots you got me with last night were frankly stunning, I needed the kill cam to know how you got me on a couple of occasions.

Well at first Steve you was killing me left right and centre, took a few minutes to get into my stride and at least I got some kills back

But it was good fun last night, I enjoyed the shipment match, ended up 2 on 1 and I still won Am I the only one that really enjoys shipment?

I hate not having hud... I was creeping round and hearing someone near me, next thing bam I'm dead, I just can't get my bearings without the hud. I'm not too bothered about a kill cam, but I must say it comes in useful when you're like wtf??
I much prefer team games compared to FFA also. I'm like a headless chicken on FFA

Tell me about it...! the one on one match I had with Steve was soo creepy, I was listening for footsteps and second I heard them BAM! on the ground!

Private matches are OK but I would prefer us against the public... It seems more satisfying to kick the *ss'ess of people you don't know!

I was also given the choice of what team I wanted to be on, I just chose auto assign... I think if your clan tag is GTPE or GTPU it will assign accordingly..

Im not a fan of free for all!

The problem is these matches take place late night or early morning for us EU'ers so that the Americans can play. You tend to go before everyone joins since it is around 11PM we start to get bigger matches.

If I start a match I just pick a small map to do free-for-all. Usually the first match is cage match for the first game but it doesn't take long before everyone gets their invites and soon loads of people join. When there are 6 people or more I start a TDM (3-on-3). I don't have everyones PSN so its important that everyone sends invites.

My suggestion for GTPE Vs. GTPA:
When there are enough people for an intercontinental battle with equal numbers on each team. Agree on a EU Vs. North A over the mic and then in the next match Don't auto assign, pick:

North A: Marine's or Spetznaz depending on map

EU: SAS or Op For depending on map.

If you accidentally autoassign or pick the wrong team, you can press select and change teams. Make sure everyone is on the correct teams before you start shooting at people. It should only take a few seconds to sort out, not that long to wait eh.

Sorry mate! I only use 1 set up .. RPD / grip / UAV jammer / Extreme Conditioning ... I detest the use of Juggernauts and would never use it myself or stopping power! I want to make a point anyway .. it may have been lag or some other issue! But i never use Juggernauts 👎

The story was solely meant for entertainment, really I wasn't trying to single anyone out as a jugger user. Sorry if I sounded critical, all I really wanted to convey was how funny it was to me.

And yes they were good games

That just means everyone would have 18.5% more chance of beating you on a match.

I think your suggestion is about the best way to organize things for true NA vs EU matches. Unless using unique clan names such as GTPN & GTPE works with auto-assign (as mentioned by someone else).

Oh and just to put my 2 cents in; i usually avoid private matches alltogether, unless there are <6 people, because i'm really trying to get the Gold assault rifle skin before the end of April, when GTA IV comes out and i won't have much time for CoD4 anymore.

I must agree the bit at the end of the game with the pistol is great, although it is kind of upsetting to see the fact that the people that you learn to like end up dying. Except Soap, I was hoping Captain Price would survive as he was one of my favourites.

Yeah but Captain Price had a good old fashioned atitude about everything. I did like Gaz, and he was one of my favourites too but I always felt more connected to Captain Price than Gaz. Especially as Captain Price saves your life more than once on it.

Actually if you get the aiming just right, I think all the hand guns are capable of that kind of sniping. I've only had 1 ridiculous kill with a M9 where I took a sniper down at crash from about 80 meters away after he put me into last stand. Pretty much pure luck but I ain't given it back

No not yet, it will take a while to get certification... I wonder whether it will get simultaneous release or will US get it before EU...

So far, all info from IW has been in the way that when it does come out, it'll be at exactly the same time for everyone. I'm hoping they keep up to those statements...
