Are you gonna play CoD4 at all or just jump into GT5p? If you're not sure, know that I am 1 rank behind you on the same prestige....

I use the ACOG scope on the M16 only. Before I went presitge I tried the ACOG on the Barret and it wasn't that good. The ACOG on snipers is a bad idea.

c_f - As Famine would say: "I'm shaking in my little space boots"👍

I believe I'll play both, because I can't stay on the same game too long continuously, so I'll probably just swap games every couple of hours or so.
Except on the first couple of days, when I'm sure I'll just play GT5:P, because I have to break my G25 in and mould the Playseat to my ass' shape... :sly:

The reason why I liked the ACOG on the M40A3 was because it makes it a thousand times steadier. Its like youre holding your breath the entire time. I love it.

But the range is quite diminished... which is kinda the point of sniping. I'd be better off with a scoped M14 or G3. Though I never used it on the M21, which has very little recoil and might be good.

^ Some very good kills there with that scope, but I still stand by you being able to do the same with a G3 or similar. Notice most of them are low-ranks too, so they're likely to be standing together like that...

Some of the no-scope kills done from 100+ft are completely unatural though, possibly impossible only down to PURE luck or hacking. I can't do it properly even from a 10th of the distance.

Steady aim helps on the no scopes. There is a video on youtube where he explains how he does it. In one of his comments he says that it increases hipfire accuracy by about 60%. The G3 and the M14 will take atleast two shots to the body to kill even with stopping power. The M14 kills in 1 shot to the head without SP and the G3 takes 2. A sniper with stopping power kills in one shot to the body even on people with juggernaut (unless you're using the M40A3 or the M21.) The Barrett, R700, and Dragunov take 1 shot to kill with stopping power no matter where you shoot them unless they have juggernaut then it has to be to anywhere but the limbs (head, neck, chest, or stomach.)

http://youtube.com/watch?v=DEoh3g1KqMk (tutorial is near the end of the video around 5:20 to the end)
"Like I have posted numerous times...."This trick will only increase your hip fire by approx 60%". Playing an entire game like this will not do you much good. In a clutch situation though, it may be all you need to walk away with a victory."

edit: people don't have to be new players to be standing in a line. People run in front of each other all the time. In order to get two kills with one bullet you just have to have good timing.

Interesting... I must try that out.

Thanks for that. 👍

You're welcome. It's really difficult to get the timing of the crosshairs right though. It definitely helps though when you get it right.

hmmmm, might have to try that out later tonight, hope it works on the ps3 though.
i'll post my findings after a litle testing

Yeah, the sniper trick definitely isn't reliable... I can do it sometimes in a game vs myself, but when you're in a live game it's totally unreliable. Steady Aim does help though... so I guess I'll never be as uber as he is. :p

*I'm going to read them all, one by one. See you guys next week*

If you do that it might mean the time passes quicker for your PS3 to turn up. :D

But its a awesome video I saw it ages ago but didn't think to show it here. The creator must have certainly had too much spare time on his hands.

yeah i tryed it and it wasnt as good as i thought it would be, i got 8 kills in 3 straight ground war matches with a .50cal but i got over 17 in 5 rounds with an m16.

I'd like to direct everyone that says ACOG on snipers is a bad thing to this video -> zzirGrizz last stand montage

Yeah I saw one of this guy's video's a few months ago, originally posted on the official IW forum I think. An amazing watch. The jumping/falling sniping shots on a moving target are the one's that leave me most baffled.

You know they guy plays too much when James thinks his technique requires to much effort to perfect ;)

BTW after watching your China Town vid I've tried a few times firing on the move/run like you do with the G36. The results... ummm not so hot :ouch: Likewise, guess I'll never be as uber as you.

F1D has been pulling off some cool kills in our resent matches as well. 👍

Guys made music from CoD4 guns sound

brilliant:tup:

Actually someone linked to this vid here on the thread several weeks ago, but as quickly as this thread adds pages it's not surprising it got buried so quickly. Cool little production though.

Edit----
Ok I'm taking the question back, after actually thinking about it for a moment it makes perfect sense that you wouldn't get credited for completing an Act using a cheat. Duh.

So easy way to complete the Hot Potato challenge were you have to get a kill with a thrown back grenade. Play domination on shipment then toss a grenade on the ground, pick it up and throw it towards a flag >_> It really works I just did it, now I'm just wondering what the guy I killed was thinking when he saw the killcam.

So, anyone up for a big GTP match sometime this or next week? I might be able to get a few guys from another forum (link is in my sig) to play aswell.

If you would like to play, post here and add me on the PSN if you haven't already.
From,
Chris.

I'm up for a GTP match pretty much any time this week, unless I get addicted to GT5P...

I have two big tests Thursday, so i'm gonna be playing very sparingly this week.

I'm down to play at 3pm EST on Friday, which is usually when the Europeans can join us... I'm not sure as to what that is in GMT and too lazy to look it up right now. :p

I'll be on slightly less now, now that I'm back in school (I had a week off.) But count me in anyway.

East coast time in the US is gmt -5 so 3 pm would be 8 for the UK. I didn't have to look anything up ^_^

Edit: I might be off by an hour I'm not sure >.<

8? Which day? I might be able to join you....

We'll have to wait and see I suppose.
