How exactly did your mate come to know of his gamertag? Chinese whispers?

He met him through his dad, his job results in him meeting quite a lot of racing drivers and famous celebrities.

MW asked my mate if he'd ever done any racing but he said "only on the xbox" and thats when they started talking about it - MW said there were about half a dozen F1 drivers on his 360 friends list but they never raced online together, the only other driver he mentioned was David Coulthard (his RBR team-mate at the time).

In doing a test with an Aston Martin DB9 on Nurburgring, Tanner Foust mentioned he practiced for hours on GT4, so he plays.

Jay Leno has mentioned several times that his favorite racing game and the only reason he owns a gaming system is for Gran Turismo and he's provided voice overs for GTPSP and provided PD with ultra rare cars for modeling and sound recording...which is also where we got the Tank Car AKA the Blastaline Special.

Jeremy Clarkson plays, and I would guess at least Richard Hammond does, as well.

I would assume if you're a car guy, you play GT. I bet even Chip Foose plays despite him having a car in Forza.

In James May's Top Toys he appears to be playing GT4 at the Nurburgring.

I doubt dale plays any of those games, i think he sais that so the company give him money, he is a member of iRacing, he's one of the highest ranked oval racers on iRacing, why would he train on a game when he can train on an accurate simulator, not to mention the fact that he's a big part of iRacing as frontman.

I see him cycling quite often when hes in the uk as he lives in the village next to me, if i see him i might try and ask him if he plays and get his psn id,

if i do then ill trade it for nice cars on here! gotta be worth a few credits

How closely do you believe the dynamics of these racing cars can be recreated in a game like Gran Turismo?

From my own racing experience, I don't think there is any discrepancy between the two. It's very good learning material! Jordan and Luca are proof of that. And I know that Sebatian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton play Gran Turismo all the time.
