Autopolis i'm fine with, it's a great technical circuit. It's the use of that bloody GT86 again, sick to death of the damn thing!!!
I posted earlier about doing a "The Forgotten Cars Thread". Now, the Tesla, that's fine. It's just the Race A no type of energy management needed. That's silly.

Also, the 86. Give it a break. May as well use the Tundra.

We all can come up with infinite combos. If it had to be a Toyota, use the 2000GT instead or one of the many Supras or the RC F road car, etc... and Autopolis is one of my top three circuits in this game.

Well, had the brilliant idea to do some morning racing with the hope that maybe I can improve my DR to avoid "2 bad races in a row and again DR B" in FIA.

Raced in first 2 races if the week, I was matched with a lot of B/C/D drivers and of course punted in the first few corners. The result was -800 in DR and down to 82 SR - because I was to blame that I did not get out of the way of kamikaze drivers...

Mission changed, how to get my SR back to 99. Raced a 3rd race, again with a full B/C/D lobby and 2 A rated drivers. Started 2nd and managed to finish 3rd and more important managed to not touch or be touched. +200 DR and got to 92 SR.

And like always, when all hope is lost - I went again - this time in a lobby of A, A+ and a few B. Started 7th but immediately got up to 4th after 1 missed the start and 2 other drivers went wide in T1 and T2. Then I had the most fun and exciting race with an Orange GT86 driven by a Frenchman as we kept in 0.5s range from lap 1 to the chequered flag. I even managed to pass him twice at T1, but he regain the position immediately. This is why I love GT Sport.

In any case, I think I will touch this account only in FIA races and practice this week. The combo is ok from my point of view , it camln be nice and close racing but penalty system will wreck everything...

Time for my alt account to jump in and let the mayhem begin!

From last weeks race B. Had 12 of the 16 cars disconnected. Quite the 4 way race...

for training race a and c is not so good, when one finishes have to wait 20min for the next. (bored of toyota and .jp circuits). so many nice cars, seems even single player is more fun (there is a super-formula in SPA in rain in the second block of single races)

Well this last week has been the most I've enjoyed sport mode in over a year!
Got in just over 30 rounds of The Blue with almost entirely top 5 finishes and 3 memorable wins to boot, the highlight undoubtedly being a pole to flag win in the Alfa lol. And never was the Lancer touched, well except maybe that one time in qualy.
Finally broke through 25k DR for the first time ever (yeah laugh all you want :) ) but that's a PB for me and despite two insta drops to SR 80 I managed to keep it in the high 90's with a crap ton of CRB's.
I know self praise is no praise, but feeling pretty chuffed with myself right now.
Oh well, back into hibernation until the next time I see Brazil or The Mountain come round.

told you, they cannot go a week without a JP track. this week again is a bust for daily/weekly races. only 3 months until Assetto Corsa Competizione so thats another 12 JP tracks to get through.

I fear that could be delayed.

It's £20 on PC. You'll need a PS5 to match it.

There are also so many functions that to have the full amount available, you need a keyboard or button box.

Last week Ferrari were fulfilling orders making cars. This week, not so much. The saving grace for things like this is that they can roll out software updates so it could still come.

The fact remains it's designed for PC.

well of course Ferrari isnot fulfilling orders it's on lockdown like the rest of italy due to you know what. so i would say that has no bearing on a software game.

Of course it was designed for pc that does not mean a console version will be delayed, does it? it almost feels like a GTS fan boi dissing something that is not even available yet lol, no offence intended but thats how it sounds.

F1 2019 was available with less functions on console than pc like no keyboard support but the game still played good and keyboard support is now available after a few months of console players asking for it so yes, software updates are a saving grace.

The companies involved in the development and production of ACC are also in Italy. How you relate the platform to the potential delay, having grasped the "you know what", I'm not sure but therein is the point at hand.

Not a GTS fanboi at all. I have both GTS and ACC.

Some people drive with a bizarre mentality.

Knowing that the penalty system stiffs you if you're on the outside, what you really shouldn't do is turn into an apex while there's a car alongside you as if it isn't there.

Sure enough, the car in 2nd on the grid turns into Sardegna's first left-hander while I'm literally on the kerb and gets poinked wide - and a four-second penalty. In my rear-view mirror he then turns more left after the corner, into yet another car which is alongside him. Clearly not running radar, or not paying attention to either it or any mirrors in his chosen perspective.

After the race, he angrily messages me demanding to know why I ran him off the track, and blaming me for falling to an SR of 79 from 99.

Dude drives into me, and at least one other car, and loses 20 SR over the course of a five-lap race... and it's my fault? Get the **** out. YouTuber my arse.

a valid point too about ACC in italy but unlike Ferrari, ACC staff can work from home (if they are allowed or needed too) like many other workers unlike a real car production line (Ferrari) but italy has been on lockdown or have known it was imminent for a while i would guess.

at the end of the day we wont know until an official announcement is given so i will leave it at that.

I remember the Tesla update because it also came when the Pontiac Trans Am was dropped into the game. And I remember the Trans Am actually having better handling around Tokyo (I forgot which iteration, but it also dropped in that same update) than the Tesla.

The Tesla, IMO, makes the Porsche 911 (not the RSR) feel like 4WD, that is how crappy the handling is on that thing.

The Tesla has some "interesting" driving characteristics. Not one I'm going to do many miles with.

Move the brake balance at least two clicks forwards.

After last week's fun at Spa in Super Formula, this week's Daily Races are insufferable.... I Won't (can't) even bother racing a car in silence (Tesla)! Even worse is that it handles like a turd on a stick! :dopey:

Race B is going to be an absolute SR killer this week, so definitely staying away. Plus, I just don't get on with the reverse aspect of this track. It just doesn't flow, IMO.

Some seriously sketchy penalties in race C. It pays to know the game logic but some of it is just ********.

This just happened in one of my races. Driver went from SR S to SR C. Perhaps on piece of contact was a penalty - a nudge in the back (but I don't think it was). Somewhere in Russia, someone is VERY pissed off right now.

The lagging car gave half the field penalties and pushed several cars off for zero penalty, including myself.
