Since it comes out in March 06, I think it is time to talk about this game. I am so looking forward to this game, the amount of zombies in game is a Zombie movie fans dream.

I have to say that I am excited for it. I'm a zombie movie fan in training, and I would have to say that Dawn of the Dead was one of my favorites I have seen so far... Thats the origional version, not the new one...

The idea of being trapped in a mall with oodles of zombies and a strange assortment of weapons will be fun, but I am a bit worried about the variety of gameplay. Will there be different characters? Different stories?

...Ive been waiting for a true zombie movie game for years, and considering how outrageously horrible Road to Fiddlers Green (the tie between Day of the Dead and Land of the Dead) was, this should be good...

Although, I hope there is a level where you get to mow down zombie after zombie with some sort of automatic machine gun, or plow your way through a hoard of zombies with your average shotgun... The exploding bodies and flailing arms will be beautiful to watch on the 360, like a ballet of the undead while being blown apart by hot lead...

Are you talking about the remake of Dawn of the dead, or the George A Romero version. But I must say Land of the dead is one of the best Zombie movies from the legend, that is George A Romero i reckon.

I was refering to the origional Dawn of the Dead done by Romero... Not to say that the new one wasent any good, it was ok, but there is just something classic and somewhat hilarious about the origional...

I have to admit that Shaun of the Dead is my favorite zombie movie... I know I know, it isnt a true one in the sense of the genre, but it was funny. There was also a zombie movie I watched closer to Haloween that I think was a British flick... It was some campy zombie horror movie done in the '80s, and it was weird... I forget the name, but it was one of the strangest zombie movies I had ever seen.

I still need to see 28 Days Later and Land of the Dead, but I can only handle so much zombie fun at once...

28 Days Later is a must see for any Zombie movie fan.

 This game looks soooo fun!! You can kill the zombies with just about anything you see anywhere in the game. Cut their arms and heads off. :dopey: :dopey: Vipfreak would love this. Here is a new trailer from gametrailers.com

Haha I know what you mean. This game looks pretty cool from what I saw in the latest Game Informer, but havent had a chance to read the article yet. Im tied up with Quake 4 right now though, and between that and Condemed, Ill probably need to take a break from the "scary" games for a little while, lol.

I wonder what the objective to this game is? I mean smashing zombies all day long could get old after a while. Well mabey not.

You have to get through 72 hours before you complete the game, but you also have to do different missons.

This game looks great. It gives me the same type of giddiness as when I first saw footage of Postal 2..... now lets hope that this game WILL deliver something that is fun for more than an hour.

DR has now been delayed till the 1st Aug 06 in the UK grrrr. I am well not happy about this, but hopfully they will ad a co-op mode now guys.

I just downloaded the trailer for this through the Marketplace and damn does it look crazy, I especially like the idea of sticking shower heads into the zombies and watching them bleed or even better sticking buckets, cones, masks and anything else that's around on top of their heads

I sent Capcom some feedback saying we want a demo.

CAPCOM'S DEAD RISING IN SEPTEMBER

Zombies, outrageous gore, sick humour and yup more zombies - Dead Rising confirmed for Europe this autumn!

Ever since we first clapped eyes on Capcom's Dead Rising, we've been shambling after it like a zombie desperate to sink teeth into the succulent neck of a young virgin. It's just the promise of undead masses, outrageous gore and black humour wrapped up in a shopping mall setting - all very much reminiscent of George A. Romero's classic Dawn of the Dead movie - that's sent shivers of sick ecstasy down our spines. Basically, we've been itching to see the Xbox 360 game explode out from Capcom's innards.

It's understandable then that a sense of general giddiness pervades the office air today, following the news that the game's had a September 2006 release stapled to its forehead. Cheers for that confirmation, Capcom Europe! If we were a barbershop quartet, we'd be breaking out into spontaneous a cappella right this minute.

But in summary, Dead Rising follows the story of freelance photo journalist Frank West who, following a tip-off on a major scoop, heads to a small suburban town only to discover it's been overrun by zombies.

West eventually winds up in a shopping mall in an effort to seek sanctuary but, alas, the zombies have beaten him to it and he has to fight through the groaning masses in a bid to uncover the truth behind the mysterious zombie outbreak - all before a helicopter ride out of the hell hole arrives in seventy-two hours time.

I am numb to delays. They dont even effect me. After the GT4 delay nothing compares.

Gamespot said:

GameSpot News contacted Capcom and got the nitty-gritty. "Actually, Capcom never announced a delay," a Capcom representative said. "The September date is the estimated timing for our European market. I believe there have been some sites that have mistaken this as an 'announcement' for the US as well. This is not related to North America, so please disregard it. We are still using Q2 2006 as our release date."

Bogus or not bogus?: Bogus for North America, thank heavens. Sorry Europe, you'll have to wait a bit for your abominations in need of wholesale slaughtering.

Thank you capcom!

My link above was bad. It doesnt really matter, I am sure it will get bumped again anyway.
I used Play.com for the UK date, but sometimes games made in Japan do come out in UK before the USA. But that’s for some of the games, also Game in the UK says DR's come out date is: TBA.

And I reckon it will not be delayed anymore, maybe Capcom are working on a Co-Op mode and multiplayer modes.

Its a shame the US version of Dead Rising will not work on Pal 360's, it is a different story for some other games. I am however annoyed the Dead Rising will not be out in the UK, until Sept 06.

While the US gamers only have to wait another month and 2 days for Dead Rising to arrive. But the only way Capcom can make me happy is, if either they bring Dead Rising out in the UK next month. Or if they just bring out a demo, sometime this month on the live marketplace.
