Great news from Euro Gamer:

Capcom informs us that the Dead Rising demo is due to go live on Xbox Live Marketplace this morning at 11am BST.

According to a Capcom spokesperson, play is limited to 15 minutes in one section of the mall. We don't know anything else, like file-size, but we thought we'd let you know anyway. We'll update this item will full details just after 11 (when you'll also notice a slight dip in productivity).

Dead Rising is due out in the States on August 8th, and should be with us here in Europe on September 8th. It's Capcom's first big Xbox 360 exclusive, providing you don't count Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting for Xbox Live Arcade, and if you do then well it's the second isn't it you silly person.

Great news about the demo!! I had a feeling it would be out today since the full version of the game comes out on the 8th. I will definetly be playing this. Actually I will probably have heather start the demo on both of our xbox360's as soon as she gets home this morning. Cant wait to play the demo after work tonight!!

The Dead Rising demo is great, while being so fun and challenging,it looks nice as well. Another thing is the game play is amazing to me. Best of all the game play fits in well, while not having any slow down at all.

However I reckon this game will be even better, when I can play the full version.

Oh, but the demo is not available to these places:

Mexico, Germany, Australia, New Zealand or Asia.

However, Xbox Live is hammered with people downloading the demo last time I checked. But it is annoying that, the demo is 15 minutes short, while being split into bursts of time available.

Another thing, don't go these places, or the demo will restart:

Inside of the Cinema
Outside
Entrance Plaza (I think this is based around a food one)

The controls are laid out well, but it does take time to get use to them, in this challenging game. Anyway, I talk more about the demo later on.

Your lucky some people are taking over an hour. I am not sure how long ours will take since Heather will probably be downloading it on both xbox360s at the same time.
Did you play it yet? I am almost 100% sure I am going to love this game. I have always liked the hack and slash style games and now with an entire free roam with vehicles I just cant wait!

It all depends on how many people are downloading it, while what connection you have. But it’s mainly hammered which means it may or may not take over an hour for people?

you cant use every item in stores though, there is a pop-up that tells you when you can use something. the GOLF CLUB kicks ass !!!

Other than that, a pretty good game! Decent graphics and realistic movements from the zombies.Controls take a while to get used to, but they are layed out well.

Not entirely my type of game though, so I wouldn't buy it. Still a great laugh though. 👍

I think this is going to be the next game I purchase for the 360. Is there supposed to be any form of multiplayer? Does anyone know how long this game is supposed to be?

I hope Capcom remakes it to fit the Ps3. I might have to buy a 360 for this one.

My friends and I have a HUGE following for this game. This game is crack rocks.

At this point, I don't believe any MP is planned. You aren't the first who wants it either. People have come up with some terrific MP modes.

If Rare can add a co-op mode to Kameo by a patch, then Capcom will have a chance to add a multiplayer mode in form of Co-Op, but if they add a multiplayer mode by patch:

1 person starts out as a zombie, then the other players on the human team. Once someone on the zombie team kills a human, then the human becomes a zombie.

Not completely true, because Zombie Panic was a Half-Life mod. Plus the mods, which have been added to CS: Source, don't have good zombie models.

But if you want a great mod, with zombies in it, then wait for Zombie Panic Source. Anyway, I'm still annoyed about the UK date for Dead Rising, but the demo will have to do for the mean time.

I have been playing this demo for over an hour and it is absolutely awesome!!! I found something out no one mentioned yet. If you are fast enough you can take a picture right after you blow a zombies head off with the shotgun. I mean you can switch instantly and take a pic. I have got over 400pp in one zombie kill because I get the picture the second I pull the trigger. I absolutely love this demo and cant wait for the full version next week.
Ohhh you can also jump kick zombies and dive out of the way. I have also stood on top of zombies while they walk around.

This game would be SO fun with the Wiimote and nunchuck. You could swing all the objects around with the wiimote.
