My throttle just broke, can’t get more than 25% throttle
Trying to fix it now but can’t promise anything

@DynamicGT

That’s it, I’m out of this race

Ok great :)

PSN - RobotSophie
Team Name - Robot Racing
Car # - 76 (if available)

Not sure which cars are still available?
A full time seat just opened up.

Your own fault if you don't make it then.

You can race with a pad. It's not uncommon in GT Sport.

Why should I? If you are too bad for racing with a pad it'd be a great opportunity to train it. It's not iRacing mate :cheers:

That sucks :(

I had my pedals taken apart the other day down to the bits you're showing, for cleaning as the throttle kept flickering in game. If you have the right tools you could perhaps replace the broken parts from the clutch. Pm me if you need help.

Yea I'm not new to online racing so I can open my mouth sometimes.

Thanks to everyone who showed up tonight it was great race! Still a few details to iron out here or there but Round 2 looks set to be a cracker! Well done to @Ph1sh on a phenomanal drive and win! Don't forget about the Success Ballast guys ;)

Maybe I should actually practice for Monza. I might be somewhat ok if I did that :D

I think it's going to be a desaster week for Ferrari

Edit : well...at least one Ferrari on podium

A little race report from my perspective;

Was a solid and consistent run for me, reaching my goal of 2nd place - Phish being a certified alien (look up the WRS), only mistakes could give a chance for 1st for us mortals. Did a one stopper and had no incidents.

Started 2nd in front of @Antares26 and behind @Ph1sh, sadly I'm not used to standing starts, so lost it down to 4th before the first corner - will have to practice this a bit. Phish was left alone in front, so the little chance I could hang on to him was gone. Aksu and Antares was just in front of me in the first couple of laps, but sadly both solo crashed, which could have been interesting otherwise. From then on, I was 2nd till the end where I just took it easy and decided to test the performance of warn tires to the extreme, so I could do a one stopper.

Minor comments to the race format;
  • Consider shorter quali time, eg 10 min. 15 min seemed quite long, when the race is only 40 min.
  • Consider manual rolling starts.
  • Consider racing hards tires instead of softs.
  • Keep heavy damage. That atleast adjusted my risk assesment, so I could run a solid race; wink wink nudge nudge ;)
Else I just hope we will be more racers in the next rounds.

We should have more drivers for sure, as for the other details they will be discussed with the team.

These are JUST my opinions:

Hard tyres would take away a strategy element unless the tyre wear settings are increased. Due to the less grip there would be less overtaking opportunities too.

Manual rolling starts would take away valuable race time from the 40 minutes. It would need to be increased to 50 minutes to make it not interfere, although that's roughly 5 minutes too much that would probably be spent waiting around.

(If you fail to abide by the rules you will be DSQ’d and will not receive points for that race)

Thanks, I'll use that adjustment when testing.

@Sniparator found your commentary (perhaps it should be linked somewhere here?), well done, thats quite good job you did there 👍. I must admit, I was afraid you would have the same tone as in this thread, but I'd say that was quite proffesional piece of work - thanks for doing it!
