bloody hell.

i still get 1.1mbit with this one.

i used to get 5mbit, downloading at 500k was NORMAL, now i only get 130k MAX, downloads peak at the start at 230k!!! that speed is ass. i should be downloading at normal speeds again.

Ahhh, yes it would explain it...:D

Yeah, it's tough.... More software is coming out that is compareable to Mac stuff for graphics/video/audio production then there ever was before.

I have a recording studio (search for Pako's Domain in the forums under the hardware section if you want to see it...) and I frequently have to swap files between mac's and my studio which is driven by pc. The manufacturer, saw an additional market with the pc user, but made sure that there was FULL COMPATIBILITY from both platforms...

Most the time, tech support even almost pretends to care about us lowly pc users...;)

Yes, very true... still though, I've found that the Mac software is easier to use than any PC software, though I admit I've only had limited experience (iMovie to make several documentaries, and a few other things)

It would be a lot easier to do that if the (quote) tags didn't automatically make the text bold... in other forums, i can just use (b)(/b) a lot, but here I have to make each statement a separate quote... oh well. :Optimist:

Oh my, I've gotton quite off topic... oh ya, my 56k is still slow... still 26400 bps.

But I'd like something faster. :( (Although, I have to say my connection would be faster if it weren't for application overhead. (I'm running a crap P-II 350 with 64MB of RAM. And at the time of this test, I bet Winblows was using virtual memory.)

Is this good for a IDSL connection?

2002-05-09 04:53:51 EST: 285 / 84
Your download speed : 285538 bps, or 285 kbps.
A 34.8 KB/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed : 84656 bps, or 84 kbps.

i prefer scythe. i'm of russian descent, i think. though i'm interested in whether or not zero is now a communist or has been one for a bit. fine if he is.

here is the dsl upload and download from my uncles DSL here in Maryland, he has about 15comps currently on his network so the speed is quite slow........
