Looking at that list it macthes up with what I expected with my BoP testing. The only one in the red that does not belong there is the Lambo.
The Gr.3 Lambo is really hard to drive and bad on tyres. I also don't think many top players picked it

Asian servers had the leader with plus 12k points, even without 24SS race that glitched. Thats plus 3k of points in AVERAGE. Insane. They must have a lot of 75k dr players.
Their mid season superstar didn't crash. The season 2 winner in Asia averaged 2450 points from his other 3 races

Oh yeah, thats why Citroën won there. I forgot how good that Dragon Trail race was for us ;_;

Still working on uploading the Manufacturer's race but Nations is ready. If only I showed the pace I had on Friday because I was just off on Saturday. Still, it's an improvement overall.

I was watching a Top24 race at Le Mans and I don’t understand why many people went for a two stop strategy.

Both strategies were good. It was all about managing traffic and draft. Deafsun did a better job on the traffic after we (me doodle and him) pitted. We were pretty close but he got away from us in the moment the 2 stop guys came to overtake us. His Ferrari being great on fuel and top speed helped him to open a gap and be safe for the last 2 laps. Great job by him.

Great effort, next job get Peugeot into the top 16 xD! Thankfully better hope this season with top 24 not being the end to all!
Its much easier now we can search by manufacturer and not have to go through 500 people to find them.

Looking through the results, you needed to finished as the 4th best manufacturer in Europe to qualify. I would have needed 7th

Manufacturer - Circuit de la Sart
he - Viper Gr. 3

Qualified in 9th position. Not bad, despite some hiccups and making friends with the penalty system.
In the first lap, I quickly climbed into 7th place, and eventually approached 6th place. Someone in the front left the race, so now it's the battle for 4th place. It's me vs. the Aston Martin. Things are getting heated. We occasionally pass trade spots.
At this point, it looked like PSN was having some connection issues*, as I noticed the Aston Martin was starting to rubber band. According to them, I was rubber banding as well. We still duked it out, but for the last few laps I tried not to be too close behind or ahead of them so the rubber banding won't wipe one or both of us out.

I did bump into them at one point, so sorry about that. I love you. <3

At the end, we both had some penalties to burn off, and my friend caught up to the both of us. At the last turn:
I burned off my penalty right at the end, but my friend had a smaller penalty and burned it off and crossed the finish line by hundredths of a second, while the Aston burned it off last but still finished with a 1 second penalty.

It was an intense and exciting race, despite trying not to rubber band into each other. I finished.. well, I forgot what place I finished in, but I got 1414 points (total points amounting to 5243), and I am more than happy with this strong finish to this second season. Looking forward to see what my final results are!

* I noticed that my PSN and PSN messages app can't connect to PSN so I assume the connection issue(s) is on Playstation's end.

Congratulations on your result! It was me disconnecting on the race, it was so infuriating

This is how it went for me:

I got punted and sent to space during my outlap (I was burning fuel and the guy behind didn't notice, a horrible incident I might say), so my tires were burst, in special the front left tire which was quite important for a great lap. So I hoped for the best after that, the Mustang was pretty strong after all, aaand I got pole with a 3:58.7 :p. That put me just in front of the leading Ford driver in the americas.

So I was feeling pretty good, I had the pace to win and get my points up again (both DR and championship). The race started pretty well, nothing major happened, MrStinkyBug in the other mustang overtook me by the end of the mulsanne straight on the first lap, then I started saving a LOT of fuel while mantaining fuel map 1 pace, drafting with the fuel map on 6. In the middle of the race I was pretty confident on having my first win on this season after two DCs and three bad races. And then it happened, my ISP failed me... :indiff:

Last round of the FIA GT Championships Season 2 from Nik's perspective (Not Top 24 yet. :(). He suprisingly took up the NSX for the Nations race and did a no stopper, but the first placed Megane was just too quick (and apparently OP). Manufacturer's turned out to be quite interesting, some small shortcut penalties meant that he couldn't run away with the race and made for some interesting racing.

Enjoy! :)

Here are the two Top 24 Superstars races i participated in yesterday's FIA Nation's and Manufacturer's Cup of the second season! I want to say thank you all so much for the great effort putting into those races and showing the true love and potential of GT Sport! Especially to @ZokyCRO, @Tidgney, @mclarenLB and @mthomas_95 driving very well yesterday and therefor deserving the win yesterday! Let's keep this up for Season 3! ^^

I was so scared of being punted in the first lap and when people started to rubber band around me hahaha. I got slowed down during qualifying, but that's alright.
Sorry to hear that! :( The disconnect could have been on Playstation's end, though. Before the race started, the network was starting to go down. Some people here on GTPlanet couldn't connect, while those who were still connected were able to maintain it, but connection was getting poor.

Ahh yes of course! Took me ages last time having to make sure I didn't miss a manufacturer as the logos were really small to! Thing is if you perform better in the season you effectively may need slightly less points. My aim is top 3 in manufacturers although I think top 5 might just do it, would be really really tight though!

Was great racing mate <3 really good fun! Only thing with both the races I didn't like, was that fuel saving again was the deal breaker in the races (More so manufacturers over nations). I can't help but wonder what would have happened if we'd have all gone absolutely 100% in either nations or the manufacturers what kind of crazy action packed races they would have been!

It was probably the fastest strategy, just the 2 stop guys tripped up over each other all the time. The standard of driving was shocking tbh, glad the only guy who kept a clean head was my Ferrari teammate
I got the impression many in the Americas didn't even practice for Le Mans. I know I only ran enough to figure out strategy. I was committed to a one stop despite the Jag being below average in that department and I was certain it was going to get me a Top 10.

Of course, everything fell apart before I even got to the straight. I did what I could to salvage something.

I have thoughts about the FIA races in general but I'll refrain until the update.

Wow that was an epic four-way battle at the end of the Manufacturers race! Bravo sir :gtpflag:

Less cars for me to worry about overtaking at Le Mans with everyone on a 2 stop . I like the choice between fuel-save 1 stop and flat-out 2, without my silly little mistakes and Fuvaros disconnecting there'd have been a 6 way battle for the win on the last lap! I feel the Megane race was always going to be a bit of a turd whether we were all pushing or not tbh. Car with infinite downforce and grip along with very short braking zones not much of a recipe for a great top split race. A Gr4 one make in something like the Cayman/4C/458 would've been better as at least those cars can get the tail out and induce a few more mistakes, and more overtaking as a result.

My issue now is them slowing down the refuelling rate in the pitstops from 10l/s to 8 (7 next season). Makes fuel saving even more important than a few months ago and even then it was borderline too much. Unless you are clearly faster than the car ahead the balance has now swung so it's probably better to stick behind sadly.

It certainly looked that way, Qualifying looked ridiculous even though you could get just as many laps sitting in the pits for 2 minutes . Shame about the pen because probably a guaranteed top 5 if you kept out of trouble.

I wonder if Snow/Nico dominating the Test Seasons meant people didn't look into practicing/strategy too much in America because they felt he was going to win anyway so what's the point. Was always frustrating watching knowing that the times he was doing weren't that dissimilar to our races, and he was doing strategies that would've seen him lose tons of places. Because EMEA and Asia were so hyper-competitive you needed to look into strategy and pace so much if you wanted to do well. Thankfully it looks like competition has come back for you guys (later Test Seasons looked kinda deserted over there, hence why some Brits joined on US accounts ), so the level will go up and you'll be a bit more smarter with strategy as a whole.

24mins of Le Mans, battle with Ferrari´s until pits. Almost lost the race in 5th lap.
Clean race bonus also worth mentioning. Special thanks to my brake markers at 1st Mulsanne chicane 👍

I love the photo of the marshalls! I realized the same exact thing and used them as markers after doing a few practice races and realizing that my braking point cones would be gone on lap 1. I was specifically using the photographer in green as my brake marker.

I can only speak for myself but strategy is what has boosted my results above my actual speed. The one caveat is fuel conservation and the reason is my struggle in fiddling with fuel maps on a G29.

As for practice, I continue having frustrations that the pace I have in mock runs disappear in the actual room. I think my new wheel settings has helped somewhat, so that may encourage me to find more speed. There's names that I wasn't sure I could ever be ahead of but now it's possible. After all, this old guard needs to show the new guard I still have something left in the tank.

I had a really fun MFG FIA race except for a run in with a certain driver blocking me.

They weave down the straight
giphy.gif

still the same straight (had to break up gifs)

then after I pass him in the final corner he pinches in and bumps the back end of my car to unsettle me under braking and force me wide.

And it's one of the guys of your old team.

You're currently in Lallave Motorsport Project, aren't you?
Yeah, he is... Sadly there's no excuse for him in this one :( I hope your views on the team won't sour from this incident. They're still a decent team I assure you, it's just that their ethics, both on and off the track are... hmm, an acquired taste

And hmmm, I think I'm in LMP?:lol::lol: I keep saying that I'd hold off joining them until I think I'm good enough, but yeah I did finally say yes  think of me as a reserve driver or something :dopey:

I’ve had a lot of encounters with said “team” over time as well. An acquired taste is a good way to put it. At least they’re predictable. Including when racing each other. In a daily race a few weeks ago I came out of the second last turn in 5th 1.5 seconds behind, and 3 of the top 4 were all of their teammates, and ended up finishing 2nd a few hundredths off the lead due to them “racing” each other.

And has this happened on the begining of the pre-season? I say this because you were my team mate on the genesis team . On that season I looked back on my previous races to see how I'd fare against you and I thought I was at your level or a little bit higher, but as the races went on you had amazing results and kept the standards pretty high!

At some juncture, I switched from bumper view to hood and that has helped me. I also got better as I got more familiar with certain car combinations. Even now, however, I'm still not up to my GT6 speed and consistency. I hope I get there in the next month or two.

I'd love to make a comment, but I've been disconnected midrace- 3, yes THREE times in a row.
I only keep a PSplus subscription to play GTSport for the FIA races. Can't believe I'm paying for this. IF this happens during the actual season.. ooooh...don't wanna say.

If its disconnecting that frequently, It'll be a problem with your network.

I'd say the same thing, however this *only* happens during the FIA races. And I've had full green 5 bar network status indicated. Weird.
And one time it was a full PSN log out.. ..I honestly don't get it.
