Also looks as if the Le Mans track limits have been relaxed. I was able to cut the corners a lot more today, but that was just in the circuit experience so maybe it is the same as it was in the actual races.

If you get logout then it's your network. PSN was however under maintenance during last FIA.

I usually get crash with error like most here, and usually on FIA as well..
Well here's an article showing that there was a huge PSN outage before the maintenance. Tons of people logged out and couldn't get back in. So that's what ruined my last race lol..

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.ex...wn-PlayStation-Network-not-working-outage/amp

I've got a very good network and connection, so I highly doubt that's the issue. I've had my pspro running for extended periods of time with no problems whatsoever, until GTSport is booted up.. and there's quite a few people who could say the same.

It's not a common problem per se- it's the timing- thats what aggravates the hell outta me. 3 FIA races in a row. It's truly absurd. And when it happens it shows everyone else's name in the chat box disconnected, accompanied with the chat sound "clink" disconnected, "clink" disconnected, "clink" disconnected etc. Seems more like a crash on Polys end imho.

I don't know if it's the server location, or network hiccups, or whatever the case be but I truly hope it's resolved, and SOON.

It is, absolutely. I have reached 2 times A+ rank already, and been able to maintain it.
But, I have reached my limit and like I said it doesn’t make sense to drive against lower tier opponents Dr Wise cause it’s if I don’t finish 1st i‘ll Loose tons of dr in 1 race and due to the lack of enough A+ Drivers it can take 10 or more races to get back like where it was before.
So yes I have nothing to prove anymore despite becoming a Top10 Driver for Ferrari, as it’s the only Manufacturer I actually drive, or drove during the dailies.

I stopped playing dailies in January and recently opened a new Account to promote STR Stronger Together Racing , Anxiety and Depression Fighters.
It’s a side kick from @QRacer_31, Team Captain of Team TNTR , and I fully stand behind this Project. It’s an very honorable Idea and a very Important one too. But before I go way too far off topic, let’s just leave it and move on ;)

Thank you

So correct me if I’m wrong, but only players who have earned S DR are eligible for the regional and world finals, and therefore only they are eligible for the championship? So really, if you’re not S DR (mostly referring to A and A+ players who will be in the upper split races) you’re basically just on track to interfere with the championship? This season will be interesting.

To compare it to NASCAR, S DR players are the playoff contenders and everyone else is still on track with them.

This may cause problems for people like anchovy_sand in the Asia region for example, as I think he is still A+/S as of typing this, although Japan has enough fast S/S drivers already so it's not going to be a problem for them.

Any word on other regions, Mr. Blue?

Just looking through the rules, and it doesn't state anywhere that S is a requirement to get to the finals. It does state that S is a requirement to get into the star players races. The rules seem to treat star players and the semi-finals and finals as unrelated. The only part I can find that could be interpreted as S being a requirement is near the bottom:

"Star Players are those who exhibit superior technique and sportsmanship. It will be necessary to register detailed profile information, but the player will be given opportunities to appear in race reports and Live Events. The Star Players Driver Rating in-game will be designated by an "S.”

Maybe I missed something but it doesn't say anywhere that S is a requirement. Maybe someone else can find something I didn't:

The thing is, S is awarded at the end of the season. So if you are A+ now and fulfill the requirements in season 3 you will become S the next day and be eligible for live events.

I guess that’s true. Don’t know if they’re awarding S ranks from Season 3 or not though.

"The "Star Player" status is only valid during the Season immediately following the Season where the player fulfilled the prerequisites."

It doesn't specify seasons so a black & white interpretation would be that "Season" means any of the three.

If Season 3 does not award S status then PD should clarify that now or they could have a heap of legal issues at the end of Season 3.

What's the situation regarding the S DR rating? I was rated S during the last season and I've been demoted (largely down to the terrible season I had) to DR A ahead of the upcoming campaign. Do I get to re-register as a Star Player or am I stuck with DR A for the foreseeable future?

You have to earn S rank each season so you are demoted for now and have to earn it back in season 3. My interpretation is you have to be S ranked to make the finals but i haven't necessarily scoured the rules so i dont know. You are probably better off having it though. Also, if you didn't earn it in seasons 1 or 2 you probably won't magically become better in season 3 so i imagine the people who earned an S will again be at the top this season regardless and only a handful of those have a shot at the finals anyway.

Now that i think about it, you probably do have to be S to make the finals because you registered your pertinent info up front and anyone who didnt is an unknown variable sony would probably rather not roll the dice with. They need to know who you are and if you are indeed eligible. As it stands i think you only have like 48 hours to respond after receiving your invitation with your intent to attend and any necessary travel information like a passport.

People that achieved Star Player status from Season 2's points are eligible for Top 24 races and Live Events.

Have you got a notification about the star player from season 2 yet? I finished 39th in my region so I should have it again but haven't got any notification.

The FIA Final Season is about to start. Players must have the Star Player designation to be eligible for the Live Events.

But what if you're an A+ driver and finish in the Top 10 of your region (Asia/Oceania)? Will you still be invited to the Live Events?

Other than the live event what actually happens after season 3, will there be more off seasons or will we be stuck with only the 'daily' races?

This is what we are trying to figure out. Following the flow of the rules one would presume that Season 3 also dishes out S rankings just like Seasons 1 & 2 did. Since you become S literally the day after the last race then you should be eligible for live events. As I stated before, if that is not the case, PD needs to clarify it now.

If you are already a Star Player, you don't have to re-register. Otherwise you should have gotten a notification.

No, you must have the Star Player Designation (S Rank.)

Season 3 is the Final Season. So you must have Star Player Designation in the Final Season (aka Season 3). Star Player won't be recalculated after Season 3 for the Live Events.

*Disclaimer: This is based on my reading of the rules and seems to be the logical flow of how the FIA Events are set up.

Hi this is my first season, I hopefully will be A+ S rating. Will I still get to race the top players in my region?
Matching starts with SR, and I think 90+ SR is needed to stay in the top races. After that it's based on DR rating, so you'll be matched with drivers close to your DR.

Top 24 races are a bit different, but that's another topic...

It is very unlikely that anybody without S/S will finish in the top10. You need S rating to participate in top24 races. Without them it is nearly impossible to get the necessary points.

Still matches you as it always did, if you are a high DRA+ you will be put with the same, depending on who’s entering at the time really. The S rating doesn’t apply any matching only the A+.

You’ve definitely got the pace, some pretty quick times!
