They finally sorted penalty areas for Brands and Gardens, hopefully the trend continues with the rest of the tracks, problem is though you can't apply those to online lobby or custom race which is really bad when it comes to any sort of race testing...:(

Just found this out. You cant get the middle of the car above the red strip on the first series of turns without getting a penalty.
I guess I'll need to go back to the drawing board.

Even if you set penalties to strict?

Sorry if I ask, from what i read, i got the impression that after this final Season there won’t be anymore FIA Seasons :nervous: , please correct me if i‘m hopefully wrong.
I just decided after having this Game from Day 1, to finally participate in the Manufacturers Championship. Am I too Late?
And what about S Ranking? Will it even be handed out beyond the Final Season as from what i understood, it’s only given after the Season ... but if there is no more Season :boggled:

No one really knows what happens after this season, this is the final season to qualify for the live events. But I suspect this is the first series of a at least a few more. Would guess they would run it a couple times a year maybe?

But after this has finished it’s likely there will be no event s for a while until they run another, probably new year time I’d guess. They may run other events without live finals in the meantime though, only PD knows this.

As for S, not sure if this will remain after the final season has finished or not. No reason for it to until a new season starts.

As far as I know, nothing has been announced for after the Final Season (and the Live Events/Finals.)

My guess is there will be a short break followed by more "FIA Test Seasons" like we had before the official seasons began. S rank will probably be dropped until there is another official season. A lot of people might lose interest without an online championship to participate in, so I hope it won't be dropped altogether.

Thank you Guys for explaining, so it is my fault for not participating in those Events although i wouldn’t have had a shot at the finals anyway. There are way to many much faster People out there.
I was just hoping to have some good close and competitive races, get myself an S Rank with Ferrari, promote a Project and basically fun. But hey life’s not fair

I wish there were 2 main Cups in GTS:

1- FIA CUP
Objective is to select the best players for a Live Event

2- Polyphony Digital Cup

This would be a virtual only cup with no live events aimed at casuals, the main prize would be a big amount of ingame credits and a little boost on the DR/SR rating of the winner to help him qualify for the FIA Championships.

If these two were spread across a year the game would always have championships to enter.

S Rank only makes players eligible for the Top 24 races and Live Events. The Final Season will still provide the best matched races and be very competitive. So still a lot of fun for people like myself who are a few steps down the ladder. Also very cool to race with so many from the GTP community.

The previous 2 seasons were really only to get DR and S rank they don’t count towards the final season. The final season that’s about to start is where the final standings actually count. With an S rank you’ve got every chance of qualifying, although you will have to beat the master of Ferrari @mthomas_95!

I really hope we get something different after the FIA season. The possibilities are endless. Car manufactures could for example work with PD to create some nice championships with special prices.

Instead of distorting the FIA season, Nissan could have worked with PD to create the Nismo cup. A series of one-make Nissan races with the winner going to Japan. I would love to participate in something like that.

I could see Nissan doing more things in GTS trey have a strong relationship with Kaz.

It is very unlikely that anybody without S/S will finish in the top10. You need S rating to participate in top24 races. Without them it is nearly impossible to get the necessary points.

Well the interesting thing is that Nik_Makozi (The example I was asking about) managed to finish 6th in Australia (and 21st I think in Asia/Oceania) at the end of this last season, and that was with both Top 24 Superstar races having a x2 and x3 (+2000pts) multiplier (he was still first in Aus, and became 9th in Asia/Oceania after the first T24, despite not being able to participate). The first two T24 races this season have a 1.5 point multiplier, while the last one has a x2.5 (+1000) point scoring system. Also, look at this:

The first Top 24 has the matching done by Driver Ranking, meaning that people with the highest DR (in this case S), can enter, while the other two are just based on Point order, which doesn't specify that the entree in question would need to have DR S.

So technically, if Nik drives fast enough this season, (maybe) he could be in the first 10 of Australia.

No, you must have the Star Player Designation (S Rank.)

That really sucks. I hope it isn't like that, because the driver I'm talking about (and just like in @Pfei mentioned) would be eligible for a Star Player ranking before the Live events, but after the Final Season, and if they've managed to make the cut (finish in the first 10/2 of their country), then they deserve to go to the Live events.*

* - Yes, I know about the legal problems with age and so on, but if Nik's 18 before the regional final, then there isn't any reason why he can't take part (unless school gets in the way. There's a bunch of exams in October for Year 12 students in Aus, but I'm not sure if they'll coincide with the Live Event).

It's not mentioned there, because it's specifically mentioned in the Star Player explanation.

PD had to make rules for this competition. The players that are eligible and meet all the requirements are the ones who deserve to move on to the live events.

There will be other opportunities for talented players

I mustve missed the point of this rant. Given your closeness to nik why dont you tell him to get in touch with the organisers of the event to ask if he can be made eligible.

I took up dr s and deregistered. Everyone knows the S events skewed things. just look at the points given out on the last race. Theyre the rules though so suck it up.

No point, the R18 limit is there for a reason.

Doesn't matter how well those guys do with A+ ranks, they won't make it into the top 24 races because they need to be S.

So yeah it is a bit **** that a guy could feasibly lead the points but be ineligible, but that's no different to the previous GT Academy's, or indeed numerous other competitions.

Ah ok, as it seems that there's absolutely no chance for him, I will stop trying to see the opportunities that could give Australia a fighting chance at the Regional finals.

I watch his streams, I don't see him on a day-to-day basis, so I'm not so close to him as you think. Maybe he has (and nobody's listened). People like him could easily be ignored, even after what he's done for us.

EDIT: No need to reply, I will stop talking about this issue altogether now. Let's move on.

There are some very decent Australian DR S players and also some very good Kiwis. So even if it does look as though the Japanese will top the overall leaderboards, over an individual race (or final) I still think they have a good chance to progress further as you can never really predict what will happen.

Anyone knows if we could sign for a different manufacturer in Final Season than the chosen one in Season 2? In that case, fow which manufacturer would you sign?

I have a feeling it may just revert back to 2018 test season after the final season event closes for 2018 and may possibly return to the daily format of races for almost every day of the week.

My guess is there will be some form of announcement closer to the end of the final season or just after it finishes to say what happens next with
official races.

1) I dont know who this Nik person is but i am very over hearing about him.

2) We are stuck with our manufacturer for the final season of FIA races, that is for sure and that is all that matters right now.

3) Whether you need to be S rated to qualify still seems vague to me but why wouldn't that be the case? If you didn't need it then what's the point of it? We've had 2 seasons to get it so if you wanted to compete in the finals what have you been doing for 2 seasons?
