Time for Nations. Honestly not that exciting after the first few laps. Credit to
@Tidgney because I saw him use TC 1 during his livestream so I did the same. It actually slowed me down a touch but it made some of the last corners much less stressful.
Haha, great to hear you used TC! To be honest sometimes it can seem alien to people to select it because other people don't. But out of all driving aids Traction control is realistic and is used in motorsport so most people can accept its use, including PD! Out of all races in Germany the 1 and only race we could use traction control was the gr.1's so I knew it would help, and after doing similar times and seeing significantly less issues (Especially the middle sector) it was worth using. The biggest thing as well is that it does help with tyres, which with the accelerated non sense is a big thing!
Managed a 1:59.586 on the FIA Practice on Tokyo EOL with my FT-1. Fastest FT-1 time is a 1:58.938.
Simulated the Tokyo race with an RCZ Gr.3 against the AI. Managed a 23:11.8 race time, fastest lap is a 2:02.1xx. Use Map 3 on the infield section is my recommendation here.
Oh and the simulated race with the RCZ is really just a base guide for
@Tidgney to help him. RCZ top speed without drafting is 166 MPH, FT-1 is 173 MPH.
P.S. Swallowtail, a Peugeot driver in the Asia region, could assist
@Tidgney with his PUG VGT on the Tokyo race to allow Peugeot a boost in points.
Wait, Swallow is using the VGT

? Wow that's crazy haha, although it seems like the right thing with some of the tracks that have been picked, maybe a lucky lotto pick there! Got to be honest after that last manufacturer race I'm pretty much done with that now, I mean I'll race them but the chances are absolutely remote of making it with Peugeot now. To lose a possible 2.9k race left me extremely frustrated, and it was 2 incidents as well

. Entire VoD here if you're interested but timestamped to manufacturer.
Before I explain my view on them the first thing I have to mention is that some people are forgetting nudges have become much more significant with the new tyre model. I explained the new tyre model in my Germany video way back when the incident at nurburgring manufacturer final happened between me and Snake. If you hit a car you load the opposite of the car with additional weight, with the new tyre model any significant weight change can cause oversteer so if you overload the rear irrespective of throttle or not you'll find the car begins to oversteer, not every car but most cars, especially MR due to its engine layout. It's why I get frustrated with a lot of knocks in a race, if you can't race clean and keep nudging the guy in front back it off 1/2 tenths and then race clean. Don't get me wrong knocks happen, you can see in the VoD I nudged someone, but I'll only ever nudge someone once, and I'll always release the throttle instantly as it's not my right to pass and it gains an advantage if you do, do it.
So the first move, VERY VERY risky move on turn 1 lap 1 at Bluemoon, (Also side note they need to get rid of standing starts, all it does is nerf some cars, mainly FR and absolutely buffs other cars, Peugeot is more advantage than disadvantage to here so it's an honest opinion). Initial rear contact going for the undercut, causes my car to overload on the right side, irrespective of throttle or not it will start to oversteer but all oversteer is catch-able on exit due to the banked layout, unfortunately then a 2nd hit completely pit maneouvers the car causes a 5 second penalty and significantly penalties throughout the grid. Personally I'd have never gone for this move at this track due to the nature of the corner, that entire corner unsettles most cars irrespective due to its nature but mistakes happen, I was frustrated after that as I was the fastest car on track in terms of laptime I feel and that was a mega lobby! I know the Porsche driver was very apologetic from it, even quit the race came on stream and said sorry and even tweeted. As I say everyone makes mistakes, me included it's how you bounce back from them which is the main thing.
The second, I was on the outside of the start of sector 2's right hander. The inside Renault (Who I incorrectly named during the livestream, but heck its live I can't call everything while racing at the same time exactly right!) brakes early to avoid contact, which is very sportsman like driving so shout out to that guy as he had the inside line, Nissan driver behinds hit the Renault. Very similar to the first lap incident, the Renault is now slamming on to avoid me but also his car is now overloaded on the left hand side, irrespective of what he does he's going to get significant oversteer on throttle application, which in the R.S.01 is especially significant (MR and especially sensitive to weight transitions at slower speeds). He does hit me but I keep it on just, he spins out because of the insane overloaded car. Nissan driver then gets hit from behind on exit and then overtakes me. Really frustratingly from this point due to the nature of the track and the fact my tyres are already ruined I'm stuck behind them for a large number of laps. The minute I eventually get past, I absolutely fly and end up catching up to the rest of the pack in some rapido fashion but not enough laps to even attempt anything else. Personally if I was the Nissan driver I would have waited for the Renault, yes they spun out but you're the cause of the collision and it was significant enough, at the very least I wouldn't have gained 2 spots from it. People need to remember irrespective of whether someone is driving slow, brakes early or whatever it's the job of the driver behind to race clean. If you cause a collision it's your responsibility to avoid it or see what potentially could happen.
I was obviously very frustrated during that race, I still managed to race fairly clean even though I was going mental inside! I livestream to bring my true and raw emotion so I can come across when it goes amazing, or when it goes bad and we've had both in 1 week which is quite extraordinary!
We'll see what happens now as I would have been in the top 24 race with Peugeot based on that result, now I'm out of it especially based on Tokyo and what
@RZQSPEED said I'd be lucky to get anything decent. Will I make the last top 24? I'm very doubtful and also that potential 1.5k-1.9k (1k vs 2.9k) difference is significant enough to knock off 3/4 positions from the overall board at the end even if I won the last top 24 race. We'll see what happens but even so as I always say you gotta move on from these things!
Just remember... Race Clean, Race Fast, Race Smart! That way everyone enjoys the racing!
