 but you werent really surprised what would've pop up, were you?

Besides, here were use sometimes also uncautiously douptfull terminologies like "he ramed me from behind" or "I was very close behind him and suddenly it happend, and I couldn't do anything about it"
Hahaha, here in Cologne/Germany you hear people talking like that during CristopherStreetDay sometimes and I swear, they definitely are not talkin about Video Games :D

So I made a comment on here that was modified for “naming and shaming” but all I did was reply to FT_McQueen’s video pointing out that he caught a glimpse of me getting divebombed by a guy from a certain racing team....didn’t even say his actual name. Is that really naming and shaming, just stating a fact that I got divebombed by a guy who clearly did?

A couple people commented back saying it’s well known that this particular racing team uses tactics like this. So why can’t we talk about this?

I’ve been in a bunch of races with these guys and have seen them cause a lot of carnage. Even if we don’t specifically name them we still can’t reference it in discussion? Nonsense censorship BS going on here. These guys have no class and they are being protected even though nobody is naming them directly. I’ve seen the so-called leader of that team belittle somebody in a lobby for being a noob and using auto-transmission while at the same time uses ASM and CSA himself in his top 10 time trials. Nothing but bad vibes and poor racecraft that I’ve seen, but let’s go ahead and protect their integrity. SMH.

First of all, I would like to note that this was an isolated incident and most possibly a misjudgment by the driver in question. Second of all, why can't you just talk it over with the driver over a PSN message instead of feeling the need to not only call him out over GTPlanet, but also call out the entire team? Just because a few people have not had a very "clean" experience with certain members of a team, does not mean that the entire team as a whole is a demolition derby destruction team... I shouldn't have to even point this out. How exactly do we not have "any class"? We all race everyone as fairly as we can, and sometimes mistakes happen, that's just a part of racing, especially when you are trying your hardest to drive a car at it's limit to go faster. I have ben rammed, raced hard, moved, pushed, etc. by numerous drivers, and I don't feel the need to come to an massive online forum and feel the need to call them out on it, I just send a private message to said person and voice my displeasure if I feel the message is warranted.

As far as some of your other claims, I have NEVER "belittled" ANYONE for using assists, so I don't know who you think the "leader" of the team is, but please get your facts straight before making false claims. What you have written in this thread seems to be slander to our entire team, just for the misjudgment of one driver. Please think about consequences before your actions. Thank you, and race on. 👍 :gtplanet:

Time for Nations. Honestly not that exciting after the first few laps. Credit to @Tidgney because I saw him use TC 1 during his livestream so I did the same. It actually slowed me down a touch but it made some of the last corners much less stressful.

Haha, great to hear you used TC! To be honest sometimes it can seem alien to people to select it because other people don't. But out of all driving aids Traction control is realistic and is used in motorsport so most people can accept its use, including PD! Out of all races in Germany the 1 and only race we could use traction control was the gr.1's so I knew it would help, and after doing similar times and seeing significantly less issues (Especially the middle sector) it was worth using. The biggest thing as well is that it does help with tyres, which with the accelerated non sense is a big thing!

Managed a 1:59.586 on the FIA Practice on Tokyo EOL with my FT-1. Fastest FT-1 time is a 1:58.938.

Simulated the Tokyo race with an RCZ Gr.3 against the AI. Managed a 23:11.8 race time, fastest lap is a 2:02.1xx. Use Map 3 on the infield section is my recommendation here.

Oh and the simulated race with the RCZ is really just a base guide for @Tidgney to help him. RCZ top speed without drafting is 166 MPH, FT-1 is 173 MPH.

P.S. Swallowtail, a Peugeot driver in the Asia region, could assist @Tidgney with his PUG VGT on the Tokyo race to allow Peugeot a boost in points.

Wait, Swallow is using the VGT :O? Wow that's crazy haha, although it seems like the right thing with some of the tracks that have been picked, maybe a lucky lotto pick there! Got to be honest after that last manufacturer race I'm pretty much done with that now, I mean I'll race them but the chances are absolutely remote of making it with Peugeot now. To lose a possible 2.9k race left me extremely frustrated, and it was 2 incidents as well :(. Entire VoD here if you're interested but timestamped to manufacturer.

Before I explain my view on them the first thing I have to mention is that some people are forgetting nudges have become much more significant with the new tyre model. I explained the new tyre model in my Germany video way back when the incident at nurburgring manufacturer final happened between me and Snake. If you hit a car you load the opposite of the car with additional weight, with the new tyre model any significant weight change can cause oversteer so if you overload the rear irrespective of throttle or not you'll find the car begins to oversteer, not every car but most cars, especially MR due to its engine layout. It's why I get frustrated with a lot of knocks in a race, if you can't race clean and keep nudging the guy in front back it off 1/2 tenths and then race clean. Don't get me wrong knocks happen, you can see in the VoD I nudged someone, but I'll only ever nudge someone once, and I'll always release the throttle instantly as it's not my right to pass and it gains an advantage if you do, do it.

So the first move, VERY VERY risky move on turn 1 lap 1 at Bluemoon, (Also side note they need to get rid of standing starts, all it does is nerf some cars, mainly FR and absolutely buffs other cars, Peugeot is more advantage than disadvantage to here so it's an honest opinion). Initial rear contact going for the undercut, causes my car to overload on the right side, irrespective of throttle or not it will start to oversteer but all oversteer is catch-able on exit due to the banked layout, unfortunately then a 2nd hit completely pit maneouvers the car causes a 5 second penalty and significantly penalties throughout the grid. Personally I'd have never gone for this move at this track due to the nature of the corner, that entire corner unsettles most cars irrespective due to its nature but mistakes happen, I was frustrated after that as I was the fastest car on track in terms of laptime I feel and that was a mega lobby! I know the Porsche driver was very apologetic from it, even quit the race came on stream and said sorry and even tweeted. As I say everyone makes mistakes, me included it's how you bounce back from them which is the main thing.

The second, I was on the outside of the start of sector 2's right hander. The inside Renault (Who I incorrectly named during the livestream, but heck its live I can't call everything while racing at the same time exactly right!) brakes early to avoid contact, which is very sportsman like driving so shout out to that guy as he had the inside line, Nissan driver behinds hit the Renault. Very similar to the first lap incident, the Renault is now slamming on to avoid me but also his car is now overloaded on the left hand side, irrespective of what he does he's going to get significant oversteer on throttle application, which in the R.S.01 is especially significant (MR and especially sensitive to weight transitions at slower speeds). He does hit me but I keep it on just, he spins out because of the insane overloaded car. Nissan driver then gets hit from behind on exit and then overtakes me. Really frustratingly from this point due to the nature of the track and the fact my tyres are already ruined I'm stuck behind them for a large number of laps. The minute I eventually get past, I absolutely fly and end up catching up to the rest of the pack in some rapido fashion but not enough laps to even attempt anything else. Personally if I was the Nissan driver I would have waited for the Renault, yes they spun out but you're the cause of the collision and it was significant enough, at the very least I wouldn't have gained 2 spots from it. People need to remember irrespective of whether someone is driving slow, brakes early or whatever it's the job of the driver behind to race clean. If you cause a collision it's your responsibility to avoid it or see what potentially could happen.

I was obviously very frustrated during that race, I still managed to race fairly clean even though I was going mental inside! I livestream to bring my true and raw emotion so I can come across when it goes amazing, or when it goes bad and we've had both in 1 week which is quite extraordinary!

We'll see what happens now as I would have been in the top 24 race with Peugeot based on that result, now I'm out of it especially based on Tokyo and what @RZQSPEED said I'd be lucky to get anything decent. Will I make the last top 24? I'm very doubtful and also that potential 1.5k-1.9k (1k vs 2.9k) difference is significant enough to knock off 3/4 positions from the overall board at the end even if I won the last top 24 race. We'll see what happens but even so as I always say you gotta move on from these things!

Just remember... Race Clean, Race Fast, Race Smart! That way everyone enjoys the racing!

Still, how'd you explain the fact that the SLS Gr.4 wastes more than the Honda NSX Gr.4 by a country mile even when you short shift? Not to mention its' very bad tyre wear.

Ok, rewatching the replay makes me guess that Nik didn't get enough slipstream to do some proper fuel saving, he was pushing all the time to catch the leading group in the first stint, thus using up more fuel. :)
At Gr4 class, the Cit and the Honda are very good in terms of fuel economy, all tho they don’t have the pace pf the Merc. Specially the Cit.
SLS has pretty much same fuel economy as the rest of the cars: Vette, Viper, Genesis, M4, etc.
Short shifting is always a good idea for total race time except some certain situations when you really need extra power.

I thought another guy, whose psn begins with a Z, was the leader. He definitely talked down to someone for using AT in a lobby I was in. This was a couple months ago probably, but I didn’t just make this up. My bad for assuming he was the leader, but I only thought so because somebody else implied so in a comment that was deleted. Apologies to you, but not to that guy.

Misjudgment of one driver is one thing, but if it becomes a pattern, which it has, it’s a problem and is definitely not slander. So what are the consequences of my actions, which are in this case telling the truth?

What I’ve seen in races, in replays, heard from other people etc. don’t do much to help your team’s reputation. Evidenced by the support I received before they were deleted. I don’t think it’s a surprise to many of the higher level players when they get bombed and see those 3 letters in the name. This is not something I have created or fostered, it’s been done by your team, and it’s you that has to deal with the consequences here not me.

As to why I felt the need to come on here and post it...I wasn’t going to say anything, but saw that another guy here was having issues with one of your drivers and happened to catch me getting divebombed on his video, so I mentioned it, without actually calling someone out as you said. You shouldn’t have much of a problem finding mentions about your guys in other replays as well, just nothing typed here because it’s against the rules. So it’s no secret what I’m saying, I just did it in a way that’s not within the policies of this site, apparently.

I didn’t send him a message because I’ve seen and been involved in too many incidents with your team to think I was going to get a reasonable response. I’ve also seen other people call them out in the lobby after the race and the responses were nothing but “lol’s” and denial.

I’ll say one thing though, some members of your team are very skilled at gaming the system to avoid penalties while still making intentional contact on the inside and squeezing people off the racing line. I think I’ll start saving all my replays when I see those 3 letters in a race, because it happens often. I had a real good race with D***y last week at MFG and he was very clean that time, but other than that my experience with you guys has been jaded. It’s just the truth, I don’t know what else to tell you.

That member was never in any position of authority of the team, and hasn’t been a part of our team for quite some time now, and is no longer associated with us. As for the rest of your comment, I can partly agree with you, and we are working out the issues. I’ve been super busy with moving into a new house, so I haven’t been able to do much recently. I know there are a few guys the need some cleaning up and that is being worked on at this moment. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

This is just a silly comment, I don’t have any issues with you at all, but I can’t speak for some of my team members, that’s just between you and them, not the team as a whole.

And thank you for the reasonable response and taking my input seriously. I really didn’t want to put the whole team on blast and actually have no idea how many people are actually part of your team so for all I know it’s like 5-10% of your guys that I’ve raced with, no idea. If I have anything to address in the future regarding your team and if I can’t come to a resolution with that individual, I will definitely message you personally.

@Tidgney
I watched your Manu race.

As for sure you also know it yourself (more likely better than me), the sooner you get that incident out of your head, the better.

Even if it decreased your chances because of missing T24, I say we'll see.
So many things can still happen!

I usually keep my nose out of issues that do not directly concern me, but I applaud this. 👍 Why? Because it shows restraint and maturity, characteristic possessed by the fastest drivers in the world.

Just remember... Race Clean, Race Fast, Race Smart!

You are too kind. I watched the whole race, and saw the pace you had in practice...when the race started, I was looking for you to run away with that Pug, then turn 1...what a 🤬 misjudgment. He obviously felt bad, had no where to hide and did his best to own his mistake. You have a huge heart and it showed.

The 2nd incident (lap 3) is utter nonsense. The Nissan driver is obviously a seasoned veteran and should know better. But he failed to live up to his status and there is simply no excuse for that kind of behavior at this level. Incidents happen, but character matters.

Remember, there may be many people from different areas of expertise that are observing the final 2018 FIA season. Be mindful of how you show up.

All the best to the clean drivers.

Can anyone tell me , there's a way to use ( save ) the ghost from the top ten ranking best laps guys ? There's a video there, I can view or download it, but can I save and use the ghost somehow ?

Yup, already onto the next race :).

Exactly character matters, which is why I race the way I do :)! Absolutely, I'll still race don't get me wrong, it's just efforts may be moved towards the nations cup, although that depends on how round 6 is picked as it's a bit up in the air in terms of UK spots haha!

Why are all the Gr.3 races on such high speed tracks. This is almost as close to a perfect lap I get get in the Hyundai around Tokyo Expressway. Unfortunately still just over one second behind first place.

Ye this frustrates me the most, I'd have personally preferred gr.4 to be on all the high speed tracks as that negotiates some of the big bug bares with tyres in that class, but obviously I would say that being in the Peugeot haha! I'm just hoping to be pulled along :D!

Really struggling to break into the 1.27s in practice for tomorrow's Nations - the Cayman is very well balanced but I'm wringing it's neck and plateaued at 1.28.2. Watching the top 10 replays and there are few differences in line, which means I'm probably just a little bit slower everywhere :D

That might be the Manu Cup you're talking about :p
Haven't had free practice yet, but I did a mock qualifying. My fastest was a 1:28.5 on the RC F

Edit: woops I'm wrong  I also did the time on an NSX not an RC F

I think my fastest time was a 1:28.4 in the Audi TT, but don't know if the tyres will last. Will need to try a few proper races tonight to see what the race pace is like. Figure it will be a toss up between Veyron, Audi TT and Cayman but am unsure whether the good tyres on the GT86 might be worth a look.

And the Manu race is the Gr3. Tokyo one :D

And here I am thinking about trying the NSX. As much as I like the Cayman I haven't used the NSX in a while.

I don't know why they use that track for anything to be honest. The Subaru feels like its towing a parachute on the straights.

There's no way I'm skipping Tokyo. I love the East Outer version, even if there may be carnage. I usually don't lose too much SR there and just race conservative. I can usually gain positions by not having penalties and avoiding incidents. I just don't try very hard to defend on the infield portion of the track and always attack towards the end and on the straight. Passing between T1 and T3 is always a good option too because a lot of people overshoot T1 and hit the wall.

I think I'll do Nations first though, since it's on a cleaner track and I don't want to have to do any races in between Nations and MFG just to get my SR back to 99. As it stands I'm at 90 right now so I'll need to have a race or two tonight or tomorrow before FIA so I can have a better chance at higher points. I'm sitting pretty good for MFG right now at 5th in the region, so I need to keep performing well or at least decent.

I hope to see you out in Japan this week

You too man, wish you the best of luck. Tokyo can be tough but I can rarely resist it, it flows so well for Gr.3 and above. Just remember, the walls are hot lava don't touch them!

Yeah, I try to stay off the walls there. Hopefully other racers will too lol. I'll be sure to try tuck up under your slip stream in my Aston. Good luck man!!

No way I'm skipping Tokyo East when I have the Jag. Very slim chance of winning against the fuel saving OP cars but I have to try. I think I have my car to use for Nations but I expect a struggle.
