Mustang in a sea of MR cars.

I always get distracted by the pit crew in these pictures,what is the green pit guy doing?He's not even looking at the cars lol.

I thinki you got it a bit wrong. Receiving that Dr S status offer from PD after season doesn't mean you have to use it. I got mine earlier too but after seeing it losing it's orginal meaning I still race with A+ and will until they chance requiments for that S which should tell people you are top class, not like now that most of S's are now on your way mostly without any racepace.

I had no idea (because I haven't got it) that you could choose not to display it.

He's thinking, "Did I remember to lock the door?" or "Did I let the cat out?".

Held on as long as I could. Left room for the gaining 4th place Megane to pass. Took my tyre change on lap 13. Emerged 7th. Passed a couple cars in 4 laps. Not bad.

Is a tire change required with 6X wear? I could see it in the Mustang, but I wonder if an MR car can go the distance?

Did the winner in your race go the distance? It seemed like he had a sizeable gap to 2nd place.

I'll check my replay. Was catching cars ahead after my pit stop. I guess with a lightweight car, it's doable.

Miyabi is a great little track... not really suitable for racing anything other than N100-200 and karts though.

You can (legally) drive defensively here and there are no real passing opportunities places for the car behind if you don't make mistakes.

Me either. I was going to try the GT-R, but my qualy times were 0.3 off the Mustang. Figured it wouldn't be good. I like to use a different car than others.

Nations: Qualified 13th, finished 9th. No one is stopping in this race, though the front left tyre is pretty much dead for my Mégane Trophy and a few others as well. Grid is mostly populated by 4Cs, followed by two 86s, including race winner Dauble-Weapon, 4 or 5 Méganes including myself, and a lone Scirocco driven by BlackArmour34. Key moments include zimaF91 killing himself and the battle for 9th against fellow countryman AndrewNanlohy, which ended when I ended up cutting him off in the chicane that leads to the Start-Finish straight. Still, no penalties given to me and got away with a Clean Race bonus!

Manufacturers: none for me tonight...

I tried the 4C earlier in practice but I won't be able to keep it straight and drive fast if I don't pit, so I'm going in a GT-R and am going to brutalise my way to a plucky 6th place (probably).

Qualifycations had been more or less ok, 9th and 6th, but somehow in both races I 🤬 it up in the beginning laps, it was nobody elses fault

@Lost Sheltie had to witness the mess in both races...

Heavy damage shouldn't be on when people who have had little to no practice can jump straight into a race and ruin other people's races. Or get trolled by someone who knows how to race but just doesn't brake for the first corner at all. That sums up my Manufacturer's tonight.

There was also a weird glitch where the results confirmed screen showed AUGH on pole and me 2nd, then when we went back to the lobby it showed some other guy as having matched AUGH's time and placed him 2nd, bumping me down to 3rd. Anyone seen this before?

In our race I qualified 9th but started 10th because some guy started 4th (or so) even his time was something in the low end of the field. It could be seen when before racestart the camera moves from car to car and introduces everybody.

Times were all over the place in my race. P1 was shown as having a 41.xx while P2 did a 38.xx

I think the ranking order was correct but the wrong times were shown.

Basically the game didn't show any times set after the timer went to zero even though it recorded them. If you looked at the screen before the whole race start sequence that should have had the right times on it. On the actual grid sequence it only showed times set before the initial timer hit zero.

Hopefully that makes sense

I'm probably not the best person to ask about that.
However I think in this case, they're still trying to sort out this quali system, though I don't think we had the same issues when it was implemented in round 5 of last season so it could one of many things

It seems these weird glitches started to happen around the end of 2018 Season.

I think "ghosting during qualifying" is right up there with the throttle mapping as my main gripes with GT Sport.

Had a bit of traffic for my one flier with mediums in the Manu race. Started 3rd but I was right behind 1st going into the pits. Fortunately, the leader decided to add fuel and so I ended up just outside slipstream range coming out. I went easy on the tires and that paid off as I started pulling a gap and earning myself a win.

Nations, I decided to stay out the first five minutes to burn off as much fuel as possible before doing some real fliers. Should've been well enough time to run a clean lap but it's like everyone suddenly decided to come out of the pits right in front of me and park it on the racing line or decide to not move over on their outlap. When I realized I was starting 6th, I knew any chance for a good result were out the window. A shame because there was a good battle up front and all I could do was watch. I did nab 4th in the end so no real damage there.

Someone else decides to race me, then part way through the lap they just skip the brakes and ram me off the track and quit the session lol...

I ended up not setting a lap and starting last. Hard to believe... made it all the way up into 7th by lap 3. Unfortunately someone smashed my rear spoiler and it ended up giving me lots of wheel spin without the rear aero. The Citroen already suffers with rear tire wear so they got cooked and race was a write off in the end.

It's simply too many drivers out there inexperienced on how to best manage a qualifying session. Ideally, everyone spaces themselves out on the track so that you don't catch up to someone or block someone from behind during your fliers. Unfortunately, it rarely works out that way and it can get messy out there, especially in exhibition/test seasons where the problem seems to be worse. It's definitely a subject that needs a tips/guide video of some sort.

So anyone experiencing a surge in disconnects during the FIA races?

For me it’s becoming really annoying right now making me really think about whether I want to continue playing GTS like this.

Example: yesterday’s Manufacturer’s race. I took it quite serious this time training for the better part of 2 hours and having thoughts about strategies for qualifying and racing. Quali went well, I was able to execute my plan and ended up 3rd on the grid. The race went reasonably well, I was fighting for 2nd and was able to overtake in the pits. I was gaining on the leader and I might have caught him at the end of the race but then on lap 9 out of the blue I got the message “Disconnected from network”. BOOM, all my training, strategies, time and good performance on track went down the drain just like that, along with 2000 DR. At this point I wanted to throw GTS out the window.

This is not the first time this happened to me either. I’ve had this problem ever since the F1 race in the Final Season. Since then I’ve had at least 4 disconnects, all in the same way. I’ve never had this problem before and I’ve been playing GTS and FIA races from the start.

This time I even took precautions: I’ve restarted the game and the PS4 before the race and tested my connection (22ms, “very good network environment”, yeah, right...). My PS4 is wired via cable directly to the modem, I don’t know what else I can do on my end. Anyone have any ideas?

My best one currently is to go race in iRacing or PC2…

Did only nations yesterday, race went grate, on qualy i tried to burn as most fuel as possible but it was wierd for me seeing dodge lamb ghosting the entire qualy sesion didnt know what was going on, then on the last minute he ran a fast lap with 28% fuel.....its the first time i see that on any qualy session.

My strategy was going non stop, but since everybody else pit i had to pit.

Lap 6 Turismo-Groove not giving any space to bernal and bernal lost control.
clean or not clean?? what you guys think???

In the Manufacturers I am still getting the great luck I expect from these races. In quali a guy came out of the pits about 2 secs ahead on my fast lap and then proceeded to mess up mine and another guys lap at the tight chicane, so qualified down in 12th. I took it easy on the 1st few corners as usual, and then a got hit at the back going into the chicane (only gently though so was still ok at that point). Then a guy tried overtaking me into the last left hander, overshot and then spun hitting me as he tried to come back onto the track. With damage all over my car I pitted and proceeded to have a boring race right at the back. Pace was ok, was only a few tenths off the fastest guys in the race so could have been fun.



I'm not sure this heavy damage thing is working as I seem to keep getting smashed and then basically either retire or waste 20 mins tooling around at the back.

For the Nations race I didn't really put much practice in it, but decided to go with the Megane Trophy rather than the 4C - just thought it was a bit easier to drive. Qualification was ok, but was just a little too slow so ended in mid pack. Race was as expected, just a follow the leader until people started pitting, which I thought was a bit surprising. Ended up moving up to 4th when people started catching me. Did a bit of defensive driving (slow into the corners and keeping a tight line so could accelerate hard out of them) and managed to get up to 3rd by the last lap. Then I did my standard manoeuvre and bottled it trying to get good speed through the fast esses, did a 360 and lost 3 places



As to the weekend, I am not going to waste my time with heavy damage and a very difficult to drive F1 car at Suzuka. Dragon Trail Seaside II is fun, but expect it to be complete carnage with the chicane being so close to the start. Might cut the grass instead.
