Any tips for Dragon Tail reverse?

After the chicane of death, how do you take the 2nd gear left hander? It has dog leg in the braking zone and it’s killing me!

A bad day for me in Nation race, hit really bad from behind in the very first corner, sent of track into the wall, heavy damage took the tribute and needed 3-4 minutes to crawl into pitstop.
Sometime I really think that SR is like Jerry Maguire, everyone cheer for him in public and trash talk him from the back :(

Mine was very similar, I was rammed up the backside in Hamiltons Mercedes at Suzuka and the damage was that bad, the car stopped on the track and wouldn't let me continue so I had to exit the race and I lost over 1000 DR points - its POINTLESS racing anymore......:lol::lol:

Lol

I was hardly at peak form at Suzuka, and still only 5 other people finished within a minute of me in top split. Also most of the lobby being DR A and I still pick up 2100 points?

I've got a good idea, until next year can they just run Gr1,2 and things like the X2014 and W08 so the playerbase actually learns how to drive a car with more than 500hp?

Right ! And also, the SR became weird, I remember I was behind a fella before an apex, hit the brakes and slow really hard, to avoid contact with him, because he lost TC on rear wheel and... anyway, I received a drop in SR for slowing down too much ( ?!? ) Wha' ?!? C'mon, fellas ! Serious ?
I mean it's a game, we're not proffesional, if a divebomber push me"gently" of the track, from behind, I pay most of the price ? He probably got 4-5 seconds penalty, meanwhile my car was totally destroyed and my race was over.
They should work on that ghost or something...

It was F1 survival, I almost got to the finish line.
btw. what would happen if you go into pits in the last lap where I almost went?

Yup, just increase ghosting even a little bit and that would make such a difference. I guess PD wants to appease the griefers or else they will quit playing

Ohhhh myyy gooood what a drive, I got ruined in qually so started 11th.... I was 1st by the start of lap 4

Uploaded it because this might be the peak racecraft of my career, super proud of it, lobby was a weaker than usual Top Split (everyone hates F1), but hey... at least @nissman was there?

If anyone's wondering how you deal with slower drivers with respect, take notes bois

Rewarded with 300 less points than me, gotta love 5 timeslots making lobbies completely random points wise

Preparing for Manu Round 2 tonight. Trying my best to get to my DR A rating. Here's my race from Round 1 at Fuji. Any constructive criticism would be great.

Two races where I held the lead. Two times I dropped the ball. :dunce:

With the F1 car, I used @DrAug's tune which worked well enough. My big mistake was leaving the gearbox alone. Felt like I was lacking grunt compared to the winning car. I tried an overcut which got me back in front. However, a bit of contact at Casio because I slipped a bit and my rear was damaged. Should've just pitted since the gap to 3rd was massive but I limped home instead. It's also worth mentioning I got completely blocked during my flier.

...and I had traffic issues at Dragon Trail as well. More of the dirty air variety but my time was a second off what I was expecting. Still got 2nd and eventually passed the leading McLaren. Issue was that I had a 911 on softs keeping up with me all the way through even though I had the mediums. From a practice race earlier, I knew the Lexus simply couldn't run the softs in the 2nd stint without falling off a cliff so I had to do mediums again. Not only did the 911 go with the softs again, someone decided to attempt a no stop. It was a 3-way battle for a moment but the no-stopper let us go. Of course, I lost the small gap I had. Forced me to chuck the understeering Lexus into the bus stop to try and hang on and it almost worked. Final run through there and I survived. Then the car slid a bit into that weird corner and I clipped the black stuff. I hung on but the Porsche just got around me. Nothing I could do after that.

With the recent game changes and FIA race settings, the prototype Lexus is the wrong car to have.

Well, I don't do the FIA races so often, I only do the ones that seem interesting, I saw that today's race was with the W08 at Suzuka so I did a 1hr practice and then went to the race, I end up getting Pole by 2s and then the race starts without problems, I get a great start and then was working on increasing the gap, on lap 4 I went wide and lost a lot of time and on the same lap I make another mistake at the chicane hitting the rear left tyre against the tyre wall, the car drove really bad and the guy going second catched up and overtook me exiting Degner 2, he spuns at spoon and then I overtake him, then I pitted at the end of lap 5, change tyres(both stints on mediums) and the dude going second stays out, the second and third were battling all the lap making them loose a lot of time, they crash and I overtake both of them on lap 6, I had a big gap to the guy behind, then all of this just to get disconnected at the middle of lap 7.
Really frustrated with this, had a great qualifying, great race pace, great strategy and in the end I got disconnected.

Finally getting a little bit confident racing with a wheel but this is frustrating lol:banghead::banghead::banghead:

Only did manu today, and i really wanted to capitalize on the pace i had here, but my room didnt have much points to offer. Qualy was great, pace too.

Wow, your room was weaker than mine! I'm A/S and 1st was worth 2000+. I was seeded 19th, qualified last and my goal was to finish 19th or better. I put in a consistent (and slow/conservative) race to take tenth for 1090 points.

It was the first time I was in a top tier room and I was very happy to take away a top 10 even though last season with less DR I was getting 1200+ with a top 5 in "easier" rooms.

I'm trying to do these combos with minimal practice as a way to train for live events. I may have to reverse that since dealing with multiple tire choices is throwing me off some.

Only did manufacturers last night. Managed to survive and win, though I wasn't the quickest on pace, just got lucky that the 2 people in front binned it.

I also only did the Manufacturers race - I know why they picked that car/track combo but after doing it for one of the previous Nations Cup races and not enjoying it I couldn't be bothered to do it again.

qualified 5th, probably left a few tenths on the table and could have got a place or two higher but wasn't unhappy with that. was 6th going into the chicane and just made a total mess of it, knew I had to slow down more but turned in far too late and ruined my car and dropped to 17th.

so the rest of the race was another recovery drive, which went OK - a few people quit, a few people crashed and I overtook a couple of people on track, and recovered to 8th. 5th to 8th isn't great, but 17th to 8th is much better, so I'll take it. couple of hundred points for my DR too!

So far, the selection of races in the Nations Cup make me want to not even bother with it. I've been having a blast driving the Porsche's in the Manufacturer's Cup on the bright side since in the cup no one can directly pick the track meta.

So what N500 cars work on Dragon Trail Gardens? Top times are all the 911, but was wondering if the Toyota S-FR, Subaru WRX road car or Mitsubishi final edition road car might be competitive?

Or can you guys thing of anything else?

Was wondering the same. I've only done a little practice with the Subaru, haven't tried the 911 yet. I always hate just choosing the same halo car, but my non-conformity also cost me in Rd. 1 not picking the 4C.

I tried tuning down a 458 to 500, but wasn't getting great times.

Due to time limitations, I only race in the Manufactures.

I streamed my whole race, I figured I share it.

Had decent pace this week, but I chose the wrong tires to start on. I had some luck on my side since IOF_Racing spun and damaged his car.

Here is the full stream.

Awwww, crap @ivann , I was wondering why the video was so short....damn disconnect. Sorry man, that's the worst!

FIA's got to have in next season possibility to have another go if disconnect happens. These take a lot of practising when just praying that even get to finnish.

Ofcourse it's difficult to not give people chance to re race if they have themselves have bad result.

But all in all these dc's takes so much away from FIA's.
