Yes, it is something of such. It just ended up making for an aggravating evening regardless. Luckily there are 5 more rounds.
I was actually in that race and there were a few "tornado of cars" moments if iirc. Unfortunately, I didnt save a replay. I guess the matrix just had it out for you last night.

I have a hard time remembering to capture my races because I'm a pea brain. However, I got this one.

Did the first slot for Manufacturers and it was 2493 so I knew that if I won this one I could be content and stop for the day. However, I knew that Deafsun and Windfire would be there and they were really quick during practice, so I had to try really hard to get pole and try to stay in their draft early on.

Had a bit of a dumb dumb moment on lap 3 and lost a lot of time that I didn't want to lose. I wanted to avoid taking the same pit as Windfire because I knew his tires were better than Deafsun's, and since he chose to stay out for lap 5, I decided to come into the pits. I knew that I kept enough pace to Deafsun so that I would be able to pass him later in the race because his tires would be dead.

However, I got locked into a bit of a battle with him and while I could've been more aggressive, I let him pass me because I thought he'd figure if he sat in my slipstream, he could attempt to stay in my draft for the rest of the race and get second, because I knew his tires wouldn't be good enough to keep me from gaining the lead eventually. This led to me stressing the hell out and looking back at Windfire over and over cause I knew he was on the prowl with fresher tires.

Finished 3 seconds off my practice time cause I made a few mistakes in the race, but it made for a tense battle that was great from start to finish.

Which manufacturers would be the best for a DS4 user, considering currently bop? And the best car for DS4 from each class separatedly?

Top times for Willow Springs in Aus/NZ are in the 15s. 86 and 4C. Did a 16.787 in the Slophy.
Trying different lines to see about dropping time at T1, T2 and the final turn.

Same here in NA, I think yesterday I saw a Cayman in there but he may be gone by now.

I'll most likely be going with the Megane Trophy. For whatever reason I didn't do well with the 4C, I haven't tried the 86 yet though.

My fastest time in practice was actually with the VW, but with tire wear on I shredded the front left tire by the 4th lap, an was putting up 1:22s until I pit. At least with the Trophy I was consistently getting 1:19s and low 1:20s until the 8th lap.

I'd love to be able to crack 1:18 with tire wear on before race time. I managed a 1:17.1 in free practice.

Slower times for everyone. RMs don't seem like they'll last long either.

Lots of players going off in qualy. Watch yourselves.

Edit: Moved up

The 86s ran longer. 3rd place pitted at lap 10. If I do the 10pm race, I may use RH tyres. If you can run longer and stay out front, less traffic after pit stop.

My points haul was very handicapped by my sportsmanship rating - finished 1st with 19:50 race time, Only 424 points.

Bass's time-slot proposal from a fortnight ago is going to be implemented from round 5 onward in Oceania and South America. There are now six hourly time-slots, but each slot only has one race, alternating between Nations and Manufacturers (so still just three slots for each).

I like this change. Last Wednesday I did not like my first Manufacturers result (my fault) at 8:00pm so raced it again at 10:00pm with better results. Then I stayed up until midnight to run the Nations - bit tired at work the next day.

Way better. At the moment, have to pick and choose which race to start first.

Edit: Started 16th. Good tyre life and fuel usage. Slow, but not as slow as the E92 during the race.

Qualified dead last in 17th. Thanks to Monza mayhem I was in 12th or 13th by the time I got to Ascari on the first lap and basically kept out of trouble for the rest of the race to get in the top 10. Although it says I gained 8 places, I only actually passed one car on track!

For some reason I just couldn't drive the McLaren with confidence in the chicanes; had understeer in the 1st chicane, and clipping the kerbs in the 2nd chicane really upset the car. Anyway pretty happy with the result from where I started!

I didn't bother with Round 3 because I disliked the races, back with Round 4 and still on track for EMEA Top 16 Superstars

Willow Springs: Disaster, compounded by losing my clean race bonus halfway through the last lap after some clown in an Alfa who had the fastest lap of the race passed me for 13th

Monza: Qualified 2nd with little practice and what I thought was a poor lap (it was a poor lap, the Ascari chicane in particular was dreadful)

Through the first corner alive (everyone was, I think), was in 2nd mostly before the leader in a 911 took a 1.1 second penalty at the first chicane. As an aside, I like that the penalty zone at Monza has been moved. It's fairer and less susceptible to ruining qualifying. Went down to 3rd briefly at one point but was 1.8 seconds or so behind the 911 consistently until he pitted on lap 6. I discovered he was on medium tyres, I was on hards in the GT-R. I'd been planning on pitting on lap 6 but the wear was fine, so I stayed out one more. Ended up pulling the gap back to 2.8 seconds at the end of the race, one or two brief mistakes might have cost me the chance to fight for it on the last lap but I'm so glad I got a fast, consistent competitive race in. And at 800-odd points it's still probably top 5 FIA races ever for me, so, delighted.

Why can't they just award points as a standard place finishing? 1000 for 1st - 100 for 20th.

I decided to go with the Nations race at Willow Springs - Big Willow as I only had time for one event. My FP time was 0.3s off would be Pole but, due to two idiots ruining my laps as they rejoined the circuit or left the pitlane, I qualified P16 and was battered from pillar to post and finished an infuriating P13 losing 557 DR in the process.

Deep breaths.

Two races. On Willow Springs I started 6 and finished 8th. But Monza I think I was taken out and was given a 3 minute penalty for some reason so please check the replay that I have shared in game and tell me if it was a wrong call by the game please

My evening was forgettable tonight.

I was not expecting good results from the get go but I didn't expect things to go as badly as they did.

I'm not going to say anymore than that as I wish to forget tonight and the disconnect from the Manufacturer
race on both attempts to join (not usual random disconnect bug) got the actual notification Disconnected
from network during the racing.

Hopefully Wednesday will be better!

Didn't have enough practice or research and only got home at 8pm so I had a shot at each race once.

Went from 16th to 7th then back to 9th in mfg for 1001pts.

Was 2 of 20 cars that didn't pick the Alfa for nations and finished around 9th as well for 999pts.

Because winning in an A+ lobby is harder than winning in a D lobby?

Winning a race full of S rank players deserves more than winning a race full of C rank players.
And if they're all D/S players?

That doesn't mean the same in real FIA races. F1 used to award 10 points for a win. Now, it's 25 points. MOto GP award the same. Supercars(recognised as an FIA series) and NASCAR have higher awards points. So, higher points for the tougher to win series?

No, a win is a win, yes? An S room may be the faster class of racers, but that doesn't mean a low rank win isn't just as gratifying. The point is, make the points standardised rather than someone spending an hour of their time and only getting 89 points. Can't tell me one person's time and effort, is more than another's.

Actually you can say one persons time and effort is worth more than another, that’s why there are 1000$ per hour lawyers, and 50$ per hour lawyers. And, you can take this to any single profession, or sport. Do you really think that a D grade driver should be able to collect enough points to make it to the Monaco or Vegas events? It wouldn’t make sense. Basically with the way it is now, the tougher the field you go up against, the higher your points. The reason all the series you have mentionned have a standardised points system is because there is only 1 race, and not 100 lobbies...

Two wins out of 5 races a couple of 5ths and 1 P3, not a bad night for my 4th ever FÍA race, lobbies were A/S to S/S for most of the top 8. I gotta stop being a potato and save the replays more often.
