Apologies if this has been answered before, but why was the Top 24 race reduced down to 16 competitors?

I have taken part in Top 24 races before, but didn't notice any obvious reasons why the grid size would need to be reduced by 8 cars.
I don't know but... if I had to guess, it would be that PD were trying to maintain the 'exclusive' feel of qualifying for a superstars race, and keeping the cutoff at 24 might have diluted this in the smaller regions, especially ours since we're just 2 countries.

Next round is going to be huge. Pending other results this round, Holl has overtaken you and a lot of others, but you in turn passed Bob with your last result, so you're still on the 12th place bubble. I don't even know if I'm 100% safe yet, as I know that some of the drivers just outside the 12 are capable of a big score on their day.

A bottlejob for the ages at Interlagos

- In 9th for most of the race
- Norwegian and German behind me battling for most of the race
- Norwegian gets free on lap 7
- Is caught up by lap 8
- We're side by side for most of the infield section, but the inevitable pass is clean
- Swiss guy in 8th picks up two straight penalties in the same part of the track, has ~2 seconds to serve on last lap
- A combination of looking at the Norwegian guy, the Swiss guy's penalty icon and a narrow back straight has me miss my braking point there on lap 9 by miles, all I could do was end up steering right and hope I didn't hit anyone
- Finished 11th, somewhat conveniently behind an F40 I punted clear off the track on lap 1 and wasn't penalised for

All in, great fun. Especially qualifying, where I nudged someone under braking so lightly they didn't go off track, but who then turned into Scott Speed and ruined my chance at a final flying lap (which we both would have had time to start, even with the initial incident)

Disconnected from Nation EU account , No way to wait 2 hours next slot. No way also to do the manufacturer race , but just for a question of track. I hate it the right way and much more when inverted.

I want to publicly apologize to Bellof and roadovento for completely ****ing up their qualy lap in Nations 2nd slot 2nd split. That was probably the dumbest thing I've ever done or witnessed in this game so far. Tried to release the brake 1st corner as i was coming fast in the slipstream with the F40 behind Bellof, as I saw I would mess up his lap trying to overtake and was willing to crash my car on my own to avoid that, but I miscalculated the position of roadovento in front of us and obliterated him, creating a mess in front of Bellof on the same occasion. I would have been so angry and mad had the same thing happened to me and cursed the guy for centuries. Then I lost focus at the beginning of teh raceand mishifted at curva do sol and I think that messed up Rejfix as well. Apologies won't bring anything back to them sadly, I messed up in the heat of things and these guys have all rights to be mad at me.

I think I did ok on the 8.00pm race despite being out all day. The replay is shared for people that want to have a look at

Did nations once. I was really satisfied with my qualy lap. None of that fuel burning and weak draft crap on it. On the race, the weak draft helped me to stay in touch with the top 3. After the end of the race, I had a look on tyre wear, I actually had the best of the top 4, maybe I couldve risked more to get into the podium. Overall, very satisfied with my performance here, when everyone has the same car. The score wont count though, and that's a shame.

Also only did manu once. Qualify couldve been a bit better, a couple of tenths maybe, but not a bad lap. On the race, during the first stint, too much fight made me eat the front tyres more than I wanted, lost a bit of ground to the guys in front. On the second I managed to save my tyres better, went more conservative and the pace wasnt too bad.

The one hour waiting period between rounds is wayyy too much, that being said, once again I fumbled through the first couple of rounds, only to redeem myself on the third and final one. Qualified a solid third, had a good run up to the third lap where a mistake cost me a spot, I recovered only to be almost taken out by an overzealous bmw driver, I managed to recover once again for a solid 5th, and retook the#1 spot for ford.

First impressions with the three time slots for Americas are both positive and negative. First rooms of the day for Nations and Manufacturers had quite high points totals but I think I've seen even higher a few times. The downside is that points slid downwards after that unlike in Europe. In other words, anyone that can't make the early rooms may be even more out of luck than before. Hopefully, we'll all wise up like in the first FIA season and learn to spread ourselves in between rooms if they decide to keep this format.

Obviously, Nations wasn't going to be Europe mental but it did feel like a Superstars race. My banker laps showed I could've easily ran a low 41 but I kept getting understeer moments out of nowhere. Still, I was in a position to knock off a bad Nations score if I could just gain a spot or two. However, we had our own version of a 911 train and it only began splitting apart near the end. Got really interesting on the last lap!

Manu also had great points to offer but this was a Group 4 race. Rexy was actually pretty quick here and I had a monster S1 for qualifing. Then the understeer kicked in so bad that what might've been 3rd on the grid became a lowly 8th. Pretty academic anyways because there was no chance I could've had a good result. The tire wear indicator lies with the Slowbaru; it's absolutely dead once it reaches 20%. There was another poor soul with this car and no shocker, they finished last. Balanced Group 4 racing at its finest!

It was an amazing train! Great work @OutlawQuadrnt. Would you mind sharing that replay on GT ?My replay is corrupted, I can only see 2 laps for some reason.(Nations)

On my Nations cup, winner gets 25 pts. Not 2500 pts.

Will do once I'm off work. 👍

The funniest thing about the last lap was that I was trying to set up an overtake on T4 seeing that @RoadBeef was really stuggling on his tires and holding up drivers. I didn't back myself up enough and tapped Lester midcorner, killing my momentum. Once at the top of the hill, I had someone right on my bumper and so braking early would've ended up smashing everyone ahead. I saw the apex open and so I aimed there. Ended up being an accidentally ambitious overtake.

Dunno how I didn't bin it when we went three wide on the exit. Bump plus grass clip is a crash 99% of the time. I think having saved the rears with front brakes helped although it hurt my overall pace.

This combo along with the F1 race at Interlagos was one of my favorites.
Nice job as well. Thought I had a shot to reach you but a bit too much understeer in traffic.

Here is my Manufacturer attempt, got 2nd for 1340pts. (It was an actual photo finish between 2nd and 3rd)
The video is my qualifying lap (stole pole in the last seconds) and the race itself.

Currently editing a highlights video that I will post later.

This was the difference between me and C.A.R.M on the finish line

Wish i had more time on Saturday but I only got one attempt at each race. I'm generally slow in the N class cars so I opted to try the F40 vs 17 911s. I qualified in last place and managed to move all the way up to 11th which was pretty exciting.

In manufacturer I had the pace to do well and qualified near the front, but an early mistake turn 2 gave me a penalty, and 2 more mistakes during the race sealed my race. I wish I had time to try it again, should have been an easy 1500 pts there.

Here’s a photo from my Manufacturer race on Saturday. A friend lost his father the day before, so I changed up my Livery to honour them both. Started 5th and finished 6th using Mediums for 9 laps and Softs for the remaining 6.

Did both races on Saturday.
Was in first slot of Nations, had a clean lap and that put me relatively high up. Was an up and down race and a couple of poor laps probably cost me the win but a good result nonetheless

Last slot of manufacturers, I was the lowest ranked driver in the lobby and it showed. Was really not on the pace but had some interesting battles anyway.

Only had time for the last three slots, so i ended up running manufacturer's twice and skipped nations.
The first attempt at Blue Moon was a bit of a mess... After a mediocre qualifying effort, I was a bit to conservative at the start and got bullied out of a few spots. Then i overshot my braking point into turn 1 and rear-eneded GumballCGT (so sorry once again!) luckily he kept it on the track... Got pushed around some more after that before retreating to the safety of the pits on lap 7. Finally got into some sort of rhythm towards the end but the result wasn't great :(
My second attempt was a lot of fun though! Not the best start on the grid but i made up ground late in the stints and got up from 6th to 3rd.
The points weren't great but the action was, and the top 4 finished within half a second

I've noticed this with a few cars actually. Im guessing it's a result of their setups, but they definitely don't all behave similarly on worn tires... For example, the alfa is apparently OP on fresh rubber AND worn alike lol.

During practice at the Red Bull Ring, I've been able to gain around 0.3s when I make a mistake and go wide at T1. Without a penalty. Anyone else notice this?

I've always bailed out of the lap because i dont want it to affect my optimal practice.

Is this going to be a problem in the race?

Literally everyone who sets a quick lap does it. You can't afford not to run wide there otherwise you lose too much time.

Thanks. It's weird because the penultimate corner is similar where you can gain time going wide. But the penalty system seems much stricter there
