Except for the few that skipped the nations top 16 race lol... wasn't many of us though.
The points were as high as 3280, so higher than a normal top split but not by much.
They really dropped the ball on this round assuming that it wasn't intentional of course

The entire first lobby crashed for MFG? I wasn't feeling confident anyways so I just took it as a sign and called it a night. Went out for dinner with friends instead.

I got a great result in one race. Just not the one I thought.

We lost one driver for T16 Nations right off the bat. Then I tried to qualify on mediums even though I hadn't even done a mock run once. I didn't think I would do well and yet, I qualified in a okay spot. Now, I actually did not do a lower fuel run because I had though we had agreed to cut our session short because jumping to Manu T16 would be tight. Not everyone got the memo, however, but I would worry about that later. My start was not the best because I kept having issues downshifting the correct amount of gears. @SAMHAIN85 was behind me for a while but I somehow pulled a small gap. Can't exactly remember how I gained one position but I do know I capitalized on a mistake to gain another. Managed to hold 5th and I did it without one single penalty. Video will come eventually.

For a moment, I thought I had just made it in to Manufacturer's Top 16 but quickly realized I had entered into the race 10 minutes later. Rather disappointed and to make it worse, I desperately needed the extended warmup to get acquainted with the Slowbaru. No surprise my qualifying was awful and really disappointing since the points were actually great and it was too hard to pass anyone. Therefore, I decided to properly warm up and try again.

Second attempt, I actually backed up my practice banker for once. Really happy with that although my other flier was somehow slower. Then in the race, I was quickly reminded that I drive a Slowbaru and great results are not allowed.



I can't recall another Manufacturer I have driven for that has made me lose my patience more than any other. The fundamental problem with Subaru is that both group cars are one of the slowest in a straight line and while handling is good, it loses that advantage quickly when softer compounds are allowed. Worse, the front tire wear is quite bad to where I need to save them in stints. Fuel mileage, well, I would've needed to shift the Group 3 car at 60% of the rev bar at Gardens had I needed to go the Superstars distance. Certain cars apparently could rev out completely but my car that has no speed can't? Does that even make sense? The Group 4 WRX isn't much better in this department either since I had to short shift in three out of the five combos. Neither car can ever do a no stop strategy if fuel is involved.

I'm sure a true alien could've squeezed more out of Subaru but an already difficult job is harder when everyone around you shows up in their Porsches, Alfas, Lexus, and Toyotas. Safe to say that Subaru would need buffs before I'd even consider driving for them ever again. Otherwise, you just get run over by everyone (sometimes literally) and it becomes an exercise in frustration.

Welp the last race of the season was nothing short of a disappointment, I had 1 good race in the manufacturers series all day and i placed 8th on it, started 16, managed to work my way up and place in the top 10, but other than that, the mustang just cannot hang, the tire wear is too much, I managed to secure 1st for ford, but I don't think I will choose the mustang unless something is done to the BOP. I’m ready to learn a new car and I’m excited to start testing new cars soon.

Qualified for both top 16 races in Central and South American region. In nations, had a decent safe qualy lap that got me 2nd. In the race I went on a conservative pace to try to save tyres and not getting pens by cutting the track. Almost everyone glitched their pens around me, which is a big joke. Could have held 2nd if people played it properly. Finished the season in 4th position in the leaderboard, shame I couldnt get top 3 and make the news feed.




For Manu, unfortunately I couldnt make Top 16 Superstars in time so went for a normal slot. Didnt really bothered with this race too much after that. Was P2 in the rankings before the Top 16, will probably end out of top 5. PD pls.

Considering how I ranted about being a DS4 user, I declare my 9th place in the Jaguar EU ranking (and so the S rank that will follow) a miracle I feeled confortable with both F-type's, but really, guys.............the tire wear in general I really hope PD will do something about it in the next championship

I had no intention of doing the Manufacturers race last night and should have left it. I just don't know that circuit in reverse any where near well enough.

Anyway, this pretty much summed up the race for me. I broke my golden rule of not driving through ghosts AGAIN, but seriously, why would the game unghost at that point?! Immediately after hitting him he ghosted again so feel like the game is just trolling me now.

Same with Mitsubishi slow at straights, bad tyre wear, only good in race for first 2-3laps on softs. It's horrible. Got 6th in Manu season overall(this was my first FIA season )
Next season I'm picking something more competetive tired of finishing in 7-10 places.

P2 EMEA Nations Top 16 Superstars for 3708 points, P1 in the UK overall and to top it all off, Top 3 in EMEA and featured in the results report, what a season.

Final race result for my first season competing in FiA. It was a pretty consistent run for me, all points-paying races were 6th or better (including a win at Fuji), and 13th overall for Mazda in my region.

In real life racing, you only get 1 chance to get the race result needed. This is a good thing, as it adds an element of jeapordy, that naturally limits the participants’ risk appetite and leads to a self-regulation of on track behaviour / etiquette, amongst the drivers. Everyone has something significant to lose, if they lose self-control and become too aggressive.

In real life racing, a driver cannot decide to give another driver a penalty, because they were beaten fair and square, but are unable to accept this and therefore throw their toys out of the pram. As demonstrated in this video:



PD do a great job in general and GT Sport is a fantastic game, that has given me and many others countless hours of enjoyment. There is still room for improvement, in terms of simulating real life racing.

You must be right .My EU PSN is quebracoco I'm far behind but the slot was lighted , i don't know how it work exactly. Anyway , Normally i race in rooms where the points are between 1500 and 1800 . It was very low punctuation this time.

Did have to laugh at a post-race message "Dude, you almost took me out" from a guy who literally rammed me off the road at the final chicane not four laps previously.

And that's from his own stream...

It wasn't a dirty move - he just missed his braking point (previous lap he'd braked at the braking cones, that lap he braked 30 feet later at the start of the red runoff), probably distracted by the filthy guy behind him, who had blocked my first qualifying lap after he binned it and then just rejoined the track and sat on the apexes, after getting an SR Down from him tapping his rear at the hairpin - but to suggest I'd "almost" took him out in the post-race chat when he actually took me out literally six minutes earlier is a bit rude.

We were only on the same bit of track twice. The other time he was taken out... by a GT-R who had earlier rammed the arse of my car on lap 1 at the hairpin, putting me into a driver in front and destroying their race.

Morning all!

I was in the Top 16 Nations race last night and was one of the reasons no one made the Manufacturer's race. I want to make a public apology to the American and Canadian driver's that didn't make the race, I still feel terrible. I didn't think I had a chance to make the race, but signed up anyway (because, why not?), and much to my surprise made it in.

The issue was I only practiced for a 6 lap race, and only did 1 full test race in a room full of cars that weren't Mazda, so I figured the Audi would make a decent car, but it didn't. To make matters worse, I had no strategy for 8 laps, and when I did my test race I over-drove the Audi on hards for 6 laps (I'm terrible in Gr1 - these things are too fast for my old man brain), so I assumed it would never make 8 laps without a stop; I was confident everyone would use mediums with 1 stop, so I went that direction. Low and behold no one stopped, but I had too, which pushed our overall race time longer than necessary.

I was so overwhelmed by being in the Top 16, my lack of performance in these cars, and lack of straight line speed that I never once thought about disconnecting so everyone else could make the Manufacturer's race, I was in the moment just trying to finish. My apologies again!! Moving forward, if I think there is any type of chance that I can make a Superstar race again, I will practice all scenarios to not affect anyone else's race, or upcoming races.

My lackluster evening didn't end there, most of the Superstars went onto the 9:10 manufacturer's race, where I had a 'somewhat decent' qualifying effort and ended up right behind @OutlawQuadrnt, where we cut good laps until early into lap 3, where I lost concentration for a millisecond and broke too late. Rather than ruining Outlaw's race by rear-ending him, I opted to go off track to the left and dropped from 11th to 16th. Ugh! I put my head down and had a fun race making it back to 11th again. It's unfortunate, because if I didn't have that brain fart it could have been a top ten result and a better way to end the season.

I'm happy with the season overall, especially with missing a decent amount of races, and am already looking forward to next season. Thanks to everyone for the clean racing this season, and sorry again to the other guys in the Nations Superstar race, I truly wish it had turned out differently!

Well done 👍 I got a little too greedy with the throttle in the first chicane on that last lap and ruined a potential battle for 3rd.

Then on the last lap I was bracing for a tough battle till the end, I guessed that you spun on exit and it was a huge sign of relief for me. Thanks for the race!

Finished 3rd to put me into the top 10 for McLaren. Highlight of the race was an overtake on the outside of turn one :

It was a good back and forth battle all throughout the 2nd half of the race. Absolutely zero contact!

The muted mic started after that comment and yes starting mid chicane was not good for me. I was swallowed up by mazdas.

Agree with all of this.

Players are taking bigger risks in the earlier lobbys since they think they can get away with it. You also get players risking more once they've banked decent points in previous races - this isn't exactly new though.

Also - if you're a midfield player the later lobbys might not have the highest points on offer, but its likely they'll be missing a handful of the players that would've beat you in the previous races making your chances of gaining more points later on higher. And, you'll have just had 2 rounds of practice.

There is also a strange fact , this is the second time i saw this, the field was S , A+ , A only , but also 5 or 6 D rank driver at the end of the list and no intermediary ranks. Perhaps this is the reason. I have a screen shot of this , i'll publish later.

I did it! I managed to win the DR B title!(its not much but its something)

I should get a star now to because I finished 129 I believe.

I had enough points after Suzuka but I managed to increase my points at Interlagos and again at Sarthe last night. I managed a P4.

Anyone know when I get the notification for star player? I got a congratulations over PSN from a friend request for but I logged onto the game and didn't see anything. Is there a point in someone like me in being a star player? At high DrB and soon low DR A(hopefully) I certainly won't be going to any live events.

No need for apologies. Europe I believe was the only region that had a chance of entering the Manu T16 and they literally had seconds to do it. It was a poor situation overall and at least those that entered Nations for our region understood the risks. Besides, we had a long loading screen at the start and that probably sealed our fate from the onset.

Personally, I'm not a fan of having to do Superstar races back to back like that anyways. Jumping to one tough long race into another right away is asking a lot, even if they give us an extended warmup. I desperately needed the extended warmup for Gardens and without it, my qualifying was awful. I do recall seeing you coming in rather fast and I turned in rather quickly there to avoid contact. One of the times having the rear view camera paid off!

It was fun while it lasted. I fell back due to penalties, and then right as I'd catch back up I'd have to serve another one.

My POV:

I think I was trying to hedge a bit and save my tires early. I did have trouble getting around Lester later in the stint because of the dirty air and he was on mediums. Glad I got 5th but was not happy I was that far off pace to the leaders. Therefore, I did a bit of experimenting last night and then I was a bit mad at myself. Long story short, I really need to stop sticking to one wheel setting because for whatever reason, I can't do that in GT Sport. I needed a fast rack with the Madza and what I ran was way too slow.

I tried to get into the 3rd nations slot cold turkey as I was super busy in the last 2 weeks but got home just after the cutoff. Didn't matter anyway as I held on to 19th in Oceania. So I was able to get a bit of practice for manufacturers. Wasn't really worth entering as the SOF was quite low. First was roughly 1300 so would only improve by a few hundred if a miracle happened. I was also super tired which led to some questionable overtake attempts leading to a 5 second penalty. Topped Aston Martin for the region but 27th overall, it was horrible on tyres all season and felt quite heavy compared to other cars I used in nations. Was a fun season racing against only Aussies and Kiwis for points, even though I missed half of the races. Good test of the updates. Got A+ back without spamming dailies and will be S next season. Looking forward to the schedule release for the inevitable Super Formula round in Nations Cup.

I made a comeback in the 2019 Exhibition Series Season 1. In the Nations Cup, I had 541 points where I had finished 3rd, 4th, 7th and 1st in rounds 5, 6, 7, and 8 respectively. In the Naitions Cup, I had 476 points and one top 5 finish there. The best thing that had happened to me this season was winning the pole and race at round 8 at the Nations Cup. I had upload two videos for that. One is long, the other is short and I chose the latter below.

I did not wanted to post this until the season until the end of the season. This was the season that got really me into the Nations and Manufacturers Cup.
