I used my mum's details because if I used my own I would be too young to participate... Which is annoying because I'll be 18 in about 2 months. I may make a second account but it means losing all my current data. Also, is it possible to change the email address associated with my registration? Or can't that be changed?

The registration details are in the options menu. I believe you can change the email.

I don't know all the details, but I'm sure there are reasons PD are asking for this. To be invited to live events, it helps to know where you are located. There might even be real prizes that will need to be mailed and why would they go through all the international hassle if they can mail from nearby?

If you don't care about the live events, prizes or your local standing, you can still compete. Just put in any random area. You can also create a new account.

There's a lot of discrimination in this world. This is not an example of discrimination. Saying it is downplays a real problem.
I was born and lived in one country for 29 years, moved to another country 6months ago and definitely plan on staying here long term and yet I am using my old account where I dont live anymore...PD are making me to do an impossible choice that I simply can't make and even if I wanted to,I couldn't because sony doesn't yet allow psn name and region change. As a conseguence of country change,my former e sport team change as well in between, I now have 4 accounts in A+ rank, hopefully this makes it more clear now and how they didn't think this through much...

I appreciate you trying to explain, but I still don't understand. Why can't you use an account in the country you currently live in?

Not sure if you are aware but you don’t need to be over 18 for the fia races? It will only be live events etc that this will be an issue

Because I left the team and will continue on solo, that acc has a team name prefix....and there is no bloody way I am making a new one again, this has gonna way out of control as it is lol

But I believe people don;t realise that my situation opens a potential cheating solution in their competition system, if they keep the current format I can easily race on 2 accounts and double my chances to go forward (don't care though as I will anyway xd)....my nationality(passport) and current home address give me the right to represent 2 countries in Nation Cup competition and PD didn't address this issue, although I have emailed them regarding that but with no response.

In fact, if any fast driver makes a new same country account, he can easily drive 4 slots per day and double his chances and nobody will ever know if the names are different...

First, I'm going to assume that discrimination was just a bad word choice and drop that topic completely.

If you don't want to create an account in the country that you live in, that's your choice. The consequence might be missing out on prizes or events based on your location.

As far as the multiple accounts, you could make multiple accounts in every region and race in every timeslot. This is not a new idea. Based on a certain post in another thread, it would seem that the Star Player system will require a real name. So even though you could have multiple accounts, only that one Star Player account would be eligible for live events, prizes, etc.

If somebody made it a point to take issue with someone using multiple accounts in the full season, and made a tonne of noise about it, I can almost guarantee that PD would take action against it.

But yeah, the whole idea of Star Player solves this issue, since you need to apply manually, they aren't gonna approve 2 accounts under your name.

So I really want to race in the FIA Manufacturers Series coming up.
When I first bought the game I signed a contract with Ford and got my 2 Mustangs that I still have almost a year later. My Gr.3 Mustang has over 3000 miles on it and I really want to keep it.
So my questions are what will happen to my Mustangs if I resigned a new contract with Ford or if I sign a contract with a completely different Manufacturer like Porsche.

1.Do I still get to keep my Gr.3 Mustang?
2.Do I get the option to buy it out right?
3.Do I lose it for good?

If you sign a new contract, the old contract cars are lost.

noticed a lot of bigger names haven’t been on much.

That is one good, bad thing about the game. Geting too high up and halting gameplay, stopping playing. On the other hand (some) top players are now joining teams. Eventually i would think original accounts (by aliens in teams) may revert back to being used for fun, seeing top players playing more in daily races.

Idk, I havent done a single FIA race since they changed it to 2 days only. I just cant find the time to do the races when PD wants me to do them...

I really enjoyed the FIA races, but right now, it's a dead mode for me. :indiff:

I have not done any at all, sadly evenings isn't a great time for me. Maybe if it stays at just two days a week I may be able to race sometime but when it was almost everyday I'd have ended up missing more than half of the races so never saw the point in entering any. I'll just have to wait and see what the schedule is like.

Hopefully news comes soon since we are now mid-june.

I really hope the lack of news is that they are thinking about how it will be scheduled, the full calendar week test season was simply unsuitable for me due to my working hours meaning that by the time I got home/ate and logged in etc I only had the options of the 8 or 9 o'clock races and then the
change to Wednesday/Saturday was also not ideal as those are two days I have other things to do in my free time.

For me and I know some may moan the ideal format would be to do a weekly race series format like F1 race weekends so on Friday's we can practice
the circuit for that event and get our lap times in order then on the Saturday have the race qualifying and on the Sunday the actual races.

However rather than limit the times of entry I'd make it that we can enter one race for the day but we can choose any hour of the day to partake.

A possible option could be to have the same round for more than 1 day, so that a lot of people that for any reason cannot partecipate in a day, has another chanche to do it.

I mean, for instance, Tuesday/Wednesday and Saturday/Sunday

People expecting them to have races all day/over multiple days are just setting themselves up to be disappointed. The reason they had just the 5 timeslots was to concentrate the matchmaking and also try and get each timeslot to have a similar strength of field. If you have it last all day it becomes a lottery which hour has the most points on offer.

Daily Races last all day and look how few A and A+ enter for each lobby. The way the FIA races worked the aliens are kept together and the lower A/B drivers can race among themselves as it should be.

Most of us don't normally see A/A+ in the daily race lobbies due to the matchmaking as normally it tries to match you with similar rank SR/DR level drivers unless I have missed something there?

Depends. If you enter Daily Race B or C in Europe evening time you'll probably avoid the A and A+ guys as a B driver. Asia/America and it seems even at peak times there's B drivers in the top lobby.

Outside of peak playing hours you can see anything from all A/A+ to A+ all the way down to D.

For Daily rces : It also depends heavily on your SR level - if your SR level is at 95 to 99 and you have a fairly good qualifying time (within 1.5 sec/min from top 10) you have a very good chance to be in the top lobby outside the peaktime. Usually you will race against 3 to 4 guys from the top ten leader board at that time. As soon as your SR level drops below 95 the lobby will be completly different (again provided your racing outside peak times).

The huge advantage of FIA Races : You are matched with guys that have a very close match of the DR Points usually just +- 5000 points ( but this I believe is only true for the No 2 and 3 race). For the number 1 and 5 race you can allready expect a spread of 20.000 points.

The conclusion is : The fewer races the better matchmaking for everybody and therefor to achive better results. Remeber : the FIA points that are awarded in a race depend on the total amount of DR points present in the lobby.

Interesting, I guess my play times of 6pm to about 11pm are probably not considered normal times and I'm usually 3-4 seconds from the
top 10 times so I guess that's why I never get put in other lobbies, the only time that happend recently was during the F1500 race last
Friday and that time I was playing during the day.

Guess my post gave me some useful background info, I guess from now on I'll try to avoid daytime racing so I don't end up racing higher
levels.

During the day is a lot less tougher lobby’s from my experience than evenings. Most times of day you will get a reasonable lobby, but if I enter in the morning I stand a much better chance of an easier race than after 6pm. For a couple reasons, less are on generally during the day and when you enter in the evening a lot of people have playing longer and much more up to speed.

If you spread the entry times or made more available for fia then matchmaking would be pretty bad.

Totally true. I have raced against A+ because of this, mixed with C and B (me being D), early morning birds. It's good because people generally behave better when they see the A/A+, in the morning over all.
