Tonight went well! Qualified P2, .9s behind P1. Luckily he went long in T1/L1 and I was able to have clean air for the first stint to build a gap on the guy behind me. I was originally gonna start on Hards and ditch them after a lap or 2 because I didn’t expect to Q that high. But I had to change that strategy and start on softs instead, went 5S/5S/4H. After the last stop I had 2 guys ahead and I didn’t know what strat they were running so I wasn’t sure if they still had to pit or not. One guy went in on L12 and the other on L13, leaving me clean air for the final lap with the guy who started on pole closing in pretty quickly from behind. It was a fun race, and best of all it knocked out a lower score of 167 pts. :)

Think i had good pace at the manufacturers race tonight, but unfortunately i really didn't take advantage of it. Not sure why Catalunya suits my driving style, but I tend to do well there(Beetle is pretty strong there as well).

Bottled the qualifying with a big mistake in the middle of the lap, so ended up 9th. Took a gamble and started on softs, and hoped the guys in front were doing the same, but turned out 3 guys ahead of me were running harder tyres. Took me a few laps to get past, but after that the race went ok. I ended up in 3rd after doing my last pitstop on lap 11 (rs for 5 laps, rs for 6 laps, and then finish on hards) but had a couple of guys just behind on softs and there was no real way to keep them behind. Managed to keep close behind them and was gaining on the last lap, but no real hope of overtaking.

Since there were no major accidents or mistakes I decided that was good enough. 5th and 232 points for Team VW.

One and done for tonight people! 👍

Number 14 on the door. Qualified 9th and brought the M6 to a nice 6th place across the finish line, just a car between me and @Granadier! Nice race. Collected 141 pts! - all DR S/A lobby.

Did 3 stops for a 4S-4S-4S-2H plan. It worked well!

Clean for most part, but there were a few that were playing dirty, pushing me off to the grass on L1, but nothing that was a race stopper!

@Granadier - nice to share the track again with you!

Back at you man; was great sharing the track with you. Overall that was a really good race. Always enjoy Catalunya with a good number of laps.

Went with the same strategy as you. Wish I could’ve secured the P3 finish but the Mega Defender Supra chose the superior 4S/6H/4S strategy allowing him to undercut me twice and secure p3 by 6s. Oh well, I’ll take my 156pts and go home for tonight.

Another great race with a podium finish. I had 12 on the door and got me a 5th place on the grid in a B/S room. A win would yield 125 points.
Inside pass in the first turn put me in 3rd. Then a race long battle was starting with GThondaproud in his/her NSX ensued. It was a clean battel but I thought he was pushing me a bit too much in turn 5 at some point.
My strategy was to do a S/S/H configuration and I think it worked pretty well. I pitted before the Honda and if I had not been held up in my outlap, I would have come out before the Honda who pitted the following lap.
At the end of the race I could drive in as 3rd with a 1s penalty (.5 on track limits on last lap) and narrowly escaped 4th with 2 hundreds of a second.
All in all a race that was great fun.

I ran my Jag in a DR C room. new track for me, and I only practiced for about 15 minutes prior to racing. I got hung up in qualifying — should have run a lap good enough for a top 3 start probably but got held up by the last qualifier, and ended up starting 8th.

I did a 2 stop — 5 lap stints on softs and then the last 4 on hards. I’m not sure it was the best for me...I was running 2-3 seconds slower on hards, so I had time for another stop, especially when the softs were completely shot (left front especially) by lap 5 in them.

Finished P4 with a comfortable gap in front and behind. 36 points, which is actually better than a low DR B finish, haha.

This race was a disaster. I use the term "race" loosely:

Bottled my quali lap and started 18th. With the rolling start I was put in this weird spot off the racing line going towards the second part of the chicane.

The lights went out and it was game over. I tried to get back on the racing line, went over the kerb and instantly lost control. Tried to correct it, but it felt like my tires were dirty, next thing I knew I was in the sand. Didn't even make it to the start/ finish line

Was gonna give it another try but I can't be bothered with this combo.

Edit: the clip finally loaded:

Well, two and done for me tonight. Couldn't qualify any higher than 14th and after fighting the whole race to pretty much gain one whole position and finish 13th, I completely screw it in the last sector and finish 15th. No more of this for me. See everyone at RBR.

I absolutely despise these super high wear races. What's the point of not required fuel on a stop if you have to stop 3 times anyway to change tires that wear out in 3 laps. This isn't racing. Hopefully PD figures something out that's actually fun at times. Like longer races without tires made of paper mache.

Edit: In fact, I might skip Red Bull too and it's x15 tire wear...

Well things went as poorly as I thought. Qualified 16th, finished 15th. Coulda had 14th after passing someone who spun on the last lap, but I ran a little too deep myself in the same corner, then was spun by a BMW on the exit of the corner. Even with that spin I still got lucky, because going into the chicane the previous lap, the 2 cars directly in front of me took each other out after they each got mad at the other for some forceful passing.

I had to do a 3-stopper because the softs wouldn't last any longer than 4 laps, and I risked spinning out at the chicane on anything other than the softs. I started on the hards and did 2 laps on them before pitting and going with softs on all the other stints. In the end, it was 79 points, which at least replaces my previous worst score of 73 points at - you guessed it - the OTHER tire wear race at Saint Croix! Man I hate these races. I wonder if I'd have faired better in something other than a Corvette though. Either way I should've just taken my own advice and skipped today.

WHAT. THE. 🤬. Well if I like the feel of the track I'll give it a go. One thing the other wear-heavy races had in common for me was that I also just hated driving them. If RBR goes as well as I hope it does maybe it'll be worth an attempt even with the 2013-spec Pirelli F1 tires...

Last night race resume, qualy p3, in last sector could get p2 but a big mistake made me fall to 5ft.

I think i could easely end in 1st but the constant punts and struggle to not be puted out of the track was a nightmare after losing 3 positions in first lap i settled behind the rushed drivers and slowly tryed to overtake but its hard and with this insane tyre wear not helping.
Anyway many mistakes and the fact that people dont get penaltys dont help the outcome, using others cars to break and turn assist are rewarded, this is not racing people whant to win in the first turns/laps.
But even so i can only blame myself to many mistakes one of them in the exit of the chicane that made me lose the car and had to enter the pits, i used that mistake to make a extra soft stint that actually benefited me in the long run but like i mentioned to many factors that made this race a kind of nightmare.

What a frustrating two days.

I was only going to do Nations one time but wanted to have some fun and went a second time. I got a miracle lap in for pole and I had winning pace. Then the wonderful design of the Dragon Trail Gardens pit exit kicked in. Got out and traffic promptly slammed me into the barriers. Race over. I went a third time to get my win but it felt hollow.

Manu, I decided to learn how to cut the corners in the last section after my first try just avoiding them altogether. Despite some corner cut penalties, I was in position to nab a podium. Well, something had other plans...

And had someone right in front of me spin at the exact same spot earlier in that race. Have a theory on why but suffice it to say that use that much of the curb at your own risk.

Oh, and smashed off again T1 and then bumped out of the way afterwards on my last attempt.

Race 7 - Barcelona - Manufacturer Series race has been the best race for me this season.

I didn't practice much prior the race (20/25 minutes) but watching YT streams (Nik_Makozi & CapraKiwi) before the race helped me to decide on my strategy with useful tips (on the save tires - braking point and downshift) (I use controller). So I went for S/S?H strategy.

I did an "not my usual disaster" qualifying time and manage to get 10th position. My plan for the race was : Stick to your strategy, be consistent, save tires and stay out of trouble. Well with my 911, this is exactly what we've done during that race.

I have done great two first laps and jumped from 10th to 6th and then 5th until my first pit stop at the end of lap 5. Second stint of S tires was able to push until 11th lap. Last 4 laps on H, went well keeping pressure from a distance on the Mercedes ahead on me by 3s with 2 laps to go. Mistake from me? nope this time! The Merc binned it on the final corner of lap 13 - killing his pace for the entire long straight. I overtook him just before T1 and stayed ahead until crossing finish line in 4th.

One go at the race, Starting 10th and finished 4th, 125 pts in the bag. Perfect night for me! Catalunya, I'll be back!

Good morning! Yesterday I did 3 attempts on Manu. First one my quali was destroyed by blocking idiot... Ok starting 9th decided to take mediums and do a one stopper(very bad strategy), doesnt even remember my position on finish. Second attemp quali went good and Im starting 2nd. Softs on the start. 1st corner brit guy just doesnt brake, dirty tyres, ping-pong Im 8th... Not so bad, last sector after straight italian guy behind me is approching very fast, I know he would dive bomb so I leaving him space on the inside, guess what? Yes, he hit me anyway:/ now Im last. Almost rage quitted, but think ok treat it like practice... After pit on lap 4 got 17th with big gap to 16th, german guy behind decide to fight hard for 17th position(crazy), keep hitting me, I let him go and do the same on next corner, now hes in the sand... To the end of the race we hit each other 3,4 times, super fun! 3rd race Im 3rd on start, this time I survived 1st lap beacause people were very clean and respectful, even letting me pass them when I was on fresh tyres! Finnaly finished 5th beacause of penaltys for cutting chicane. 89pts ufff. I was exhausted after this... Penaltys must be back!

Same as @TRL LIGHTNING
I think PD stored wrong values of griplevel for this curb

This no penalty for contact is just stupid now all 5 slots I qualify top 5 even pole twice and what do I get for my trouble of actually practicing and trying to be a clean fair racer ...... you guessed it idiots from across Europe and apparently North/South America who think racing is a full contact sport and like to use you as the apex for every given corner and as a bloody brake .
I’ve gone from a DR of 48,500 almost A+ that I worked bloody hard to get to 36,639 because PD can’t get their act together with the penalty system.
I mean one guy and I won’t name and shame deliberately cut the final chicane to punt me in to the gravel while I’m leading on lap 12 to only get a 0.5 penalty and what’s my reward engine damage for 30 seconds dropped down to 13th .
PD you need to sort this ***** out .

The tire wear creeping back up to levels before they changed the format. Had people complaining back then thats why they changed it! Didn't bother racing last night. No way was i getting the Lambo round that track with that amount of wear. I agree, i hate these extra high wear races too. Spend the whole time nursing the car round rather than flat out racing. RBR with x15 is mad and just noticed you have to use all 3 compounds too.

Oh and while i'm in a moaning mood, i'm not a fan of these short qualifying stints. All but one race i've had someone ruin my lap. Always seem to have someone coming out the pits just as i'm starting my flying lap and they feel like 'racing' on their outlap! rant over

Haven't had Gr.4 RBR in a long while. I'll definitely see if the R35 can hang. What is the ONE Make car for Nations?

The 1995 Porsche 911 that was recently added to the game. That’s my favorite generation of the 911, so I’m looking forward to Nations this weekend. :)

Well I was contemplating sitting this one out, as any practices at Catalunya felt like I was driving on ice. However, when it came to 19:50 I though what the Hell, and entered. I was only ever going to do one race, and decided to give it a go.

I was allocated door number 8. Qualifying was messy, but I ended up 10th. Not bad, nothing to shout about either.

I outbraked a couple of cars at the first corner and got up to 8th, only to have another driver barge me off the track and down to 14th. Ho hum.

The car felt completely different to when I practiced in my own lobby earlier in the week (with the correct settings for the race), and felt much nicer to drive. So I settled down and got on with it, picking up the odd place here hand there while others succumbed to half-spins or penalties. I stuck with my 4S-6H-4S strategy, and it seemed to be paying off when I emerged from my first stop in 8th. After my second stop at the end of lap 10 I was 4th, and that's where I finished, followed by an instant promotion to 2nd as the leader and second placed cars both got 20 second penalties for not running the hards.

So a race where I expected to struggle badly turned out to be my best race in the Manufacturers so far.

Had to make 3 atempts last night to get a decent result :banghead: Entered the second spot and after starting P10 or so I was battling for P7 in a close group of cars. unfortunately the cars in front fought quite hard and one of them went sideways on the exit of T4 and as I was passing in the left hand of that straight he hitted me while trying to control his car. Lost 4 places there and ended about P10 with 117 points. It was enough to make this round count but only 3 new points in bag.

Tryed again and made an awful race. Started P12, first stint on hards and then push to the end. Missed my braking point twice in the hairpin and that was the end of it. Luckily no one was hitted, but my chances were gone. 87 pts...

Obviusly I took a third chance, qualy went bad since it´s so slipstream dependant this days. I did my lap all alone so started P14 and again on hards. 4 laps and changed to softs. Ended up P7 and catching the train that was ultimatety fighting for P2. Pretty happy with my race, I was considering on skipping this round and now I feel the struggle payed off. The bad part is repeating so many races is costing me DR 👎

Struggling to keep my spot in the top 5 and get my first S... P4 right now in the Hyundai scoreboard for CSA, but some fast guys are pushing.

It makes zero sense how PD keep going whole hog into the theme of each FIA season. Why does EVERY race need to have super high tire wear or EVERY race need to be about saving fuel?

Surely it can’t be that hard to actually provide a mix. One race we might have to make 2 stops, the next we won’t have to stop at all. Make it a mix between all out sprint races, strategy, conservation, everything in each season.

I wonder why those destruction derby "races" are even signed by FIA. There is no control over who is doing what on the track.
There is no clear set of rules for the season - each race has a different set of rules.

No one penalizes ****ing idiots in the game. And on top of that - flags don't even work.
I mean I've heard you get a penalty for overtaking at yellow - haven't seen that yet tbh.

Perhaps cuz I am a ****ing moron and drive according to the racing and sportsmanship RULES.
There are no penalties for denying the blue flag or crossing the pit lane entry right into your racing line.

What is the FIA for I ask? So that You can get ****ed In the Ass I suppose.

Crazy thing is they got such a positive response when the races went to 30 minutes... makes no sense to go back to the way it was (And is heading towards now).

I'm really hating the amount of slots and multiple shots happening at the moment, it's becoming a pure luck fest for points, positions, splits. Might as well roll dice for your championship position at this stage :(.
