Yep it certainly was.
For those who have not watched my stream,
@Rangeraus pointed out before the race that not changing compounds was faster. I decided that I could run a no stop on softs, saving fuel and looking after the tires. There is only 1 20 second penalty for not using the different compounds. I ran an average of 1:28flat (creeping to 1:29's in the later stages) to bring the car home from 6th on the grid to 2nd. The winner was
@schnick in the renault who did the same as me. 3rd and 4th also didn't change compounds but ran a flat out race 1 stop back onto softs and lost to me by about 3 seconds.
It is 100% morally wrong. Per the rules of the game it is legit. I hope it gets patched out very quickly. I'm not usually one to 'cheat' my way through a race, yet I found it fascinating that someone came up with that creative idea, the loophole in the rules as it is that I had to give it a go. I believe 7 or 8 out of the top 10 copped a 20 second penalty at the end of my race.
