Must have missed when I said two seconds off the top time and that I'm not saying I would be the fastest driver in every race with a wheel but that the gap would be much more realistic. But I also wonder what my excuse would be. Care to use a DS4 or are you too chicken? Do you not want to risk hurting your ego or lose the 10 views you get on every youtube video? I've beaten you before anyways so might want to put some more practice in.

ok tough guy, now your ego is really showing and it's not a good look.

I didn't miss anything you said. One of the many obviously untrue claims you made was that you are running "perfect" laps and are still off pace by 1-2s...which everyone knows is nonsense. I've never run a perfect lap in my life, and I'm usually about 1s or less off top times. If you want to maintain that your laps are perfect yet somehow, amazingly you're still slower than people using a DS4 to set top times, then go ahead and post a video of your perfect lap my guy. I'm sure there are plenty of people here willing to coach you into getting better.

I never said that you said you would be the fastest driver in any race. That's what is called a strawman argument. You're arguing against a point that has never been made. Strawmans can make you look correct in the eyes of people who don't understand logic, but you're not fooling me.

I used to use a DS4 before I bought a wheel. At that time I was doing pretty well, but was still improving. When I switched to a wheel my times suffered greatly, but improved shortly thereafter. But it's impossible for me to say if my gains remained on the same somewhat linear path, or if they improved exponentially. However, if you did post one of these perfect laps of yours, I wouldn't mind busting out the ol' DS4 and trying to beat it. But I literally have a total of about 4 months experience on DS4, and I wasn't very good at it either, so you definitely have an advantage there. You'd likely still call me a chicken or pleb or something, even though you're the one complaining about not being as fast as other guys using the same equipment.

It's funny you mention my youtube videos. I could care less how many people watch them, I mostly make them for me to review and analyze at any time I want, not necessarily when I'm at my console looking at replays. You are literally the only one displaying a puffed up ego here, pretending as if the literal fastest player in the United States doesn't use a DS4. I know I suck, but I'm still faster than most people who play the game. Is that something you can admit? That you just plain suck? Doubtful.

I could also care less if you've beaten me. I've beaten Turismo-Lester before but that doesn't mean I'm better or faster than him. Are you too chicken to reveal your PSN so I actually know who you are? Because I remember the names of all the people who are consistently faster than me, not the people whose pride revolves around beating me one time in some random race however long ago. I've got my videos up, and my stats up, for anyone to see. Go ahead and show your hand and we can continue this. Or, we could always do a good ol' 1v1 if you want to. I'm game.

All that being said, it matters none. The point is you're claiming you run perfect laps and are still off pace because you use a DS4. Yet there are many DS4 users in my region and other regions who are alien-level fast, world tour level fast, and they are living examples of your astronomical level of wrongness. Get over yourself dude.

You only think it was once haha

You only think it was once haha

maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. but how is anyone to know if you stay in hiding?

go ahead and keep ignoring valid rebuttals to your baseless claims.

maybe you should just get a wheel already? you never know, maybe we'll see you on the next world tour after you find some pace.

edit: ohhhh I see, Lilchickennugget......I've beaten you too. Interesting how you have conveniently forgotten.

Is the Alfa any good at Alsace? I’m assuming no, but I haven’t tried it yet.

I skipped it. Didn't get within 2 seconds of the top Time Trial time... would have needed a lot of slipstream in qualifying and luck in the race to get a half decent result.

It's a shame how these top-50 guys act. No wonder people are afraid to go against what they say. Anyone with a different opinion gets ripped to shreds.

Manufacturer's Series Round 17 - Alsace Village / Gr4

Pretty decent result in tonight's round at Alsace. Was not expecting to do well at all, having struggled to find the rhythm in FP earlier in the week. But was able to post a time good enough for 2nd early in the qualifying round, eventually it was beat and I botched my second flyer on fresh tires, midway around, so I started 6th.

Ran as high as 4th before pit stops, raced clean with an NSX that dogged me in the later laps, when my M's started to fade, had to concede my targeted 5th place to a fast Toyota on the last lap, and then just tried to be ready if those two caused trouble between them over the last half lap. But I could only get inside of the 86 at the line, and settled for a solid 6th place, with decent DR to keep and useful FIA points over my current target of 125 per race (which would get me over 1000 for the season).

For the record I didn't get creative and just went 5S/8M, and I think that was the right split as the M's were starting to complain at the end, and I was definitely in the overlap for lap times when I stopped.

Just couldn't hold this Toyota off or take advantage of his tussle with that NSX at the end...

One thing I've learned is that I need to lean toward short-filling on those last stops... I once again ended up with well over 1 lap's worth of fuel at the end, and I'm sure it cost me at least one position, maybe two. This has happened at least two other times this year where there were critical pit stops. I would rather have to lean it down on the last lap and protect any gap I was able to create, than keep losing spots to guys with fuel in the tank. Especially at this track. I think it would be easy to keep pace without using as much fuel if you wanted. Lesson learned!

(and yes, a FF TT won pole and the race in my lobby!)

@HaydenFan69 ...shout out to Michigan racers! I think I'm going to hit a wall at at 6th, if I can even get there... in a good battle with a few others that has been close all year. But 5th place with PhatPhella looks like it's out of touch for me. I'm happy with this as a newcomer and rookie FIA season racer! Keep driving, though, the season is barely more than half way over, and the points may move a lot as people change DR ranges, etc.

nah it's really only people whose opinions are nonsense, regardless of who they are, who get called out. "perfect" lap? come on dude. don't pretend like you don't know where you're losing time...and it's not because you're on a DS4.

what's your newest psn? do you change it every time you get proven wrong in a dumpster fire of ridiculous claims?

I am imposing zen upon this thread - the only bitching and moaning in here should be about tire wear multipliers and BoP nerfs.

Come, let us be calm like the morning waters, and save the ocean's fury for the penalty system.

Maxfucius say: the FIA thread is a sacred place, there should be no conflict here.

Right, I'm sure I'm overlooking one to two seconds worth of mistakes  Even at Northern Isle Speedway wheels pull out tenths when I watch the replay and take the same line as them.
Changing your PSN might be the best thing for you, as your damaging your image pretty badly with your inability to have a respectful debate and your failure to capitalize the beginning of literally every sentence.

I don't know what TPC is nor do I really care, but the organization probably wouldn't like to see its members act like this. Almost all the resistance I have faced has come from four TPC members. Unless you're the leader or something, which in that case I don't know why anyone would want to join.

Edit: Make that five now.

"Wheels are faster."

99.99% of the time, no. Just, no. Easier to be fast with? Probably. Easier to be consistent with? Definitely.

My Bridgestone series was dominated by two guys. One on a wheel, one on a DS4. All one make races, over approx 45 mins.

Guess who ended up with more pole positions, more fastest laps, more wins, and the title? DS4 guy. Wheel user in question is damned quick, too.

We're just a bunch of mongs bud, I wouldn't read too much into it.

At the point where we've reached "well YOU don't capitalise your SENTENCES" I think the argument has run its course.

Let this glorious thread continue unassailed.

I love when my grammar is corrected by somebody who doesn't know the difference between your and you're. lmao.

I love how that's the only part you focus on and totally ignore the bad rep YOU'RE giving TPC. YOUR sentences are easier to read when they're capitalized. It just looks too weird mainly because YOU'RE the first person older than 10 I've ever seen do that.

I don't care about rep. We're just a bunch of guys who met mostly on GTP, we don't really have a rep and my words don't represent the team as a whole, nor do anyone else's.

Keep pretending you've logically addressed even a single valid point that anyone has made against you today. Sidestepping, cherry-picking, you name it, you've done it. Ignore that there are many pad players faster than you. Keep not revealing your psn, keep not posting these perfect laps you speak of, keep hiding from truth and logic and accountability...that'll get you somewhere.

what's worse, not capitalizing, or actually using the wrong words? who cares about capitalization? I'm not writing a thesis. my guess is you're about 65, shaking your first on your lawn right now.

Wow. Come in for the FIA discussion, and get ourselves a little online arguing. Isn't that what Facebook is for, guys?

Anyway, just not feeling the Gr. 4 Merc at Alsace tonight. Qualified a dismal 14 in an A/B -S lobby where I was car #1. Ran a clean race using 7M 6S and climbed to 8th at the end for 97 points. Not enough to displace my lowest of 121. With my DR around 32K I'm gonna need a top 5 at least to improve my score, so that's enough for me tonight.

Unfortunately that's not how everyone sees it. You join a group, team, league, organization - whatever. Your actions represent that of the group. There's a reason people are fired / removed after showing terrible behavior or committing a terrible act. TPC is showing they support this behavior, which is concerning. Also not sure where you're getting this notion that I think I'm the fastest on a DS4. My argument has been that wheels are faster and that I would improve my time if I used a wheel. Next time I'll be sure to record my cleanest lap and send it to you so you can tell me where I'm losing all this time. You seem to be the know-it-all of GTSport.

Twitter, actually. ;)

if any chicken nuggets wanna cash me outside tonight, I'll be at Alsace in the last 2 slots. going in cold.
Already won my race for the day. Satisfied with my score to not make another attempt.

I don't know about anyone else, but in my race at Alsace, the blimp up to the right just past turn 1 looked like it was in some serious distress! The nose was pitching up and down, and I thought it might crash lol... it was rather distracting the first couple times by.
What I found distracting is the helicopter hovering low over the track just before the start/finish line.
