I'm sitting St. Croix out. I've raced there 0 times. Not going to start with a 80s F1 car. :scared:

Good luck brave witches and wizards. :D

I love St Croix and I love the F1500-T and I suppose I am as ready as I'll ever be. Which means I'll enter with no clue what I'm going to do or what's going to happen and go from there.

I'm also so bad at tuning that I tried the ones posted above for a few laps and the best I could muster was 2 full seconds slower than my "no tune special setup" which is currently 2:55:9 so I don't know.

But at least I get to rock my Zanardi inspired livery, so that's cool whatever might happen. :D

For the round 27 of nation at Route X, is it N800 cars only or cars that Can reach N800?

I think it is only provided cars "Please note that in Round 27, to match the track's unique characteristics, entrants will have to select a car from the predefined N800 Class in order to participate. Entrants will be unable to adjust the settings for these vehicles or participate using Garage cars. Thank you for your understanding." this is from TGS website.

Someone made a Zanardi helmet as well. Been sporting that the last few weeks.

It's a Ferrari 458 only race. But just from maxing out the top speed slider you can hit 250. Though a bit unstable without some suspension tuning though.

Looks like I'm missing out on the closing races of Stage 2 entirely, hope y'all have good races!

Looking at Stage 3's schedule, for Nations I do wish there was a little more than Gr. 3 and Gr. 4 races, but I didn't immediately recoil from any of the tracks in either Nations or Manufacturers like I did with Stage 2 (except Autopolis. Maybe because I've driven there less than 3 times but I don't like the track, it doesn't flow well for me).

This is me! Never driven the track, went and bought the F-1500, clicked on the race slot for some free practice, saw the layout of the track, thought "I don't have time to learn all those corners!", and sidled back off to the Nurburgring! Shame because I really do like the F-1500 (driven it on 'old' account), it's like a bloody missile. Those old F1 drivers, well all racing drivers, they have some balls!!

I think I am going to be one of those sitting out the F1500. Plan on having a few beers on Saturday and don't think they will.mix well with that little death rocket. Unfortunately I just know if I go in a little beered up I am just likely to screw up someone's race instead of just mine. Will have a couple of practice runs but not making any real plans. Will have to at least make sure i have slapped a tune on the thing.

A quick random question but can one of you remind me the colours we UK drivers would wear on our driver suit/helmet for this nation's race.

I've finished my design but I want to tweak the colours so the car itself matches my driver gear, I think it's blue/red and white for UK race gear?

Main colour of blue with white and red. Personally would prefer custom suits back for FIA races.

Might not be able to do the Manufacturers Series race tomorrow - gonna be visiting my younger bro with my folks. But I gotta admit, these next rounds for both championships sound like real fun - especially the N800 round, as well as the one where you can only choose between the two Gr.4 cars. Then there's the BMW one-make at Mt. Panorama, too - it all looks great.

It actually only took maybe an hour before I learned the layout of the track before I could start properly hotlapping it. In general, braking at the 150-meter boards when entering a slow corner from one of the fast straights works for just about all of the slow corners. From there, if a corner on the track map looks like it can be taken flat out, it probably can be (but not always).

I’m honestly not sure of my chances at both races this weekend. My fastest lap in Custom Race at Sainte Croix is 2:56.8 and there will certainly be plenty of incidents at the Nürburgring. I have to at least try Nürburgring (since Wednesday demonstrated that the Gr.4 Alfa can be overtaken by a tortoise with a limp), but I have no idea how Nations is going to go down, considering the large spread in the top 10 times.

From watching the Nations race replays of the top drivers, they're all running max camber on the rear wheels. I tried it and the car pulls out of slow corners noticeably better.

What sort of values do you think they are running? I upped the rear camber by a bit to 1.3, but I'm afraid of stability issues on Meds and Hards, as well as on worn tires. Might revert to 1 for those reasons. Didn't play around much since I spent last night working on trying to mimic their gearing but couldn't get it right either (think I have it close though, but something doesn't feel right). Might have to try again tonight. I think transmission tuning is key for getting a good lap time here vs. suspension geometry.

It looked maxed out, so I did the same. I had no trouble getting three laps on Softs with that setup.

I'm so looking forward to both of Saturday's races. Although, while I'm not usually a complainer, I really do wish both races weren't being run the same night. I feel i am going to age maybe 15 years doing both multiple times tomorrow. :nervous:
Yeah, I am a bit fed up with having both races on the same day. Not that it really affects me a whole lot but it is certainly a pain. It seems really stupid that it was all crammed into a condensed day to cater to a once a month race in the supra cup. And annoyed but understanding that the times are early for me to ensure that the bulk of players in Oz get good slots.
I don't know, on Saturdays in EMEA and NA are there more than 3 slots for each? I am able to make races if I want but it seems a bit silly at the moment.

No and it's a pain in the rear end... only reason I don't participate in the Nations just not enough time to do both.

For Nations - High rear camber does work in providing more rear grip. Been playing with 4.0 - 6.0 right now, undecided yet. I don't think it's faster per se, but it provides that rear grip that gives you the confidence to push harder.

Base tune is still Praiano's. Offset the above camber change by decreasing front toe to -.2, and LSD decel to 5. Custom transmission (final drive ~ 3.500)
