I'm second, slipstreaming, shortshifting, coasting, barely gaining on the straights and of course the guy up front still managed to save more fuel. I am the first to concede that I'm not the best around and there are a ton of people who are better but it was too much of a difference. Was the same on yesterday's race too.

That doesn't mean it is because of CSA. I'm not saying that isn't the reason, but I'm saying there is no evidence to suggest it is due to CSA.

In a race the other day, even when slipstreaming, short-shifting etc, the person ahead still somehow had saved 1 more lap of fuel than me. I watched the replay, I saw what that driver did and learned. And that driver wasn't using CSA

I wanted to do the Nations Cup race yesterday but didn't have the time to practice. Instead, I took the Gr.4 McLaren to Bathurst. I qualified better than expected but was quite worried about getting destroyed in the straight. This race required some patience and some late overtaking. If nothing else, what happens around the 22:40 mark is worth watching. One of those moments that I didn't expect something to work but it did! :D

My McLaren was suddenly understeering like crazy during FIA qualifying today and spun out twice because of it. Disappointed because I started far behind from where I'd thought I would be.

On the plus side, the race ended up a rather memorable one. Just need a few more laps and it might've been a Top 5 drive.

Maybe he should've covered the inside line a little...

Another fun Nation's cup race, I made mistakes in qualifying and started down in 12th so had lots of fun overtaking. I really struggled on old tyres with the Alfa it's quite an unstable car at the best of times.

He blocked inside correctly. This is your mistake for putting both of you in danger.
You should have lift or try the left side.

I very much disagree. The original move to the right from the car ahead was fine, but when the driver behind started to get alongside (and at this point there was still a car width), the driver ahead then continues to squeeze and force the driver behind off (or to brake on a straight).

At the point when the driver behind started to get alongside, there was a car width, and that room therefore should have been kept.

I have no complaints, there was a slight overlap when the gap to the right became less than a cars width so I felt it okay to keep on the gas to finish the overtake (kind of like being forced bellow the yellow line at Daytona). I wasn't expecting him to keep coming over so far but I'm sure he didn't expect me to be on the grass either, to his credit once he realised what was happening he left lots of space and didn't force the defence too far.

Not sure I'm ever going to race Group 4 again... I just did the manufacturers in the RCZ, I was about .6 slower and the tyre wear oh my word.... I had 1/3 tyre wear left after 10 laps! Where others definitely didn't, took an absolute tanking to my DR cost me 1.3k...

Yeah, was pretty horrific to see how little grip you had at the end of the stints, I could almost keep up :)

Had time to do both Nations and Manufacturers. In retrospect, I was rather aggressive in the the latter race.

I haven't driven that car yet but I assume it's like the Audi TT which utterly destroyed the front tires. Whatever the case, it would be nice if the game didn't punish someone as harsh for using a car that is ill suited for a track compared to the competition.
Gr.2 on Dragon's Trail, never again. Never again. I should've known better.
That bad, huh? I will say dirty air made following anyone at Dragon Trail a challenge.

It's so bad that my strategy was to drop to around one second behind and do a bombastic lap. Hopefully I'd catch the person in front in a straight
If I don't I abort and drop back again

My Dragons race was 75% D/S, the rest of us A and B. Several mistakes on my part, but just sloppy and aggressive driving everywhere. Add in the bus stop and a slippery NSX and it made for frustration.

Haha, aww honestly after lap 3 or 4 I was just dropping like a fly as I couldn't get round corners was terrible. 2nd stint I was being so kind on the tyres rolling through but by the end again I was just dropping like a led weight.

Yup, it absolutely destroys its tyres, I actually can't believe how badly. I only did the race to make top 24 but I think I'll pass on any group 4 action next time as it seems all over the place when tyres and fuel are taken into account :S.

I’m 1st for Chevy in the EMEA area, not many point though @ 2500ish, does that mean I might get into Top24? I’m A/S btw.

Kinda hoping I don’t but if so it will be fun.

That is pretty mad that not even one of the 128 people in front of you don't drive a chevy. Used to be a marqueof choice to the top dogs right.

I think what happened was the top dogs saw the Corvette's buff and tried it briefly, but found that all it's got going for it is stability and straight-line speed, so they went on and looked for other stuff to make into a meta

This happened briefly with the NSX too, judging from the top times

I thought Chevrolet would be packed with drivers which is why I chose Peugeot! I had the choice of the two and that was my sole reason for not choosing it haha! Next season I might as GTA Racing has a livery for the group 3.

Chevy is probably the best Gr.3 car for races with fuel and tyre wear. I assume no one picked it as they were worried they wouldn't be top 2.

You probably won't qualify with 2.5k (I think about 4k was required last time) but may as well try
