I wish PD would provide details on this upcoming season. If it's for the month of May, but there's only 8 races, I wonder how many races will count for points. I guess it would probably be 4. The scheduling is rough for me, cuz I'm usually busy Wednesday evenings. I might be able to make some Saturdays work. Oh well, it's not like I'd win anyways, lol

When you need 3rd to make the top 24 superstars... you pull off this move to then be ploughed off the circuit.... This kind of thing frustrates me greatly especially the car reset! I mean I've literally been ploughed into let me continue on....

I'd never touched Monza in GT Sport before tonight and I'd done a total of 16 laps before race start (Including qualifying)... now I know why.

(Penalty is from the dude brake checking matty and me and Bellof all then hit each other)

Qualified 2nd yesterday and got punted first chicane and eneded up with 15 seconds of penalties on 1st lap.

I was 16th place in the fia standings and got knocked down to 26th.

That was a relief. First time I did back to back Top 24 races and both times, it was the closest I've been to my old GT6 form. Almost because my first lap remains a struggling point and my pace would go up a few extra tenths if PD ever bothers fixing the throttle mapping.

The only things that didn't go my way was just missing out on the podium in the TT race, never getting a clean Q flyer at Suzuka, the new barriers that I believe are completely unnecessary and ruins the racing and the fact that I have no in-game replay for both races. Does anyone have those, by chance?

New schedules for FIA events.

This time is 4 of 8 races that the points count.

If I am not wrong, before we compete in pre-season test period. This is going to be pre-season but not test. So probably in this pre-season period your points will evaluate for real season. Just a guess of mine, only PD knows better ofcourse

Was kind of what I was thinking but I guess no one knows for sure! Would be good to get an announcement from PD to let us know

Great, so even less daily races now. The FIA events where what i looked forward to each day. What a crappy decision.

I'm also a bit disappointed. I really liked the FIA races qualifying format and that you could only do 1 race per night. It increase the pressure massively which makes winning much more satisfying than the daily races.

I hope they add a weekly championship with the same format as the test seasons

I can only do 3 of the 8 races so I'm hoping it has minimal impact. I think, well at least in terms of pre-seasons in the past on other games that I've done it will be final tests? So this technically is showing the final racing, probably testing live streams, marketing behind it and all that. I knew GT would start when I'm on holiday haha...

This is just pre season (still) so next month might be better for you. Or on the other hand, take you playstation, wheel and seat with you on holiday.

Yeah, it would be nice if they were on different days. I usually get 1 hour a day to play. Tough to find time with other commitments

Seeing as they spread them out, not sure why they couldn’t have put nations and manufacturers on a different day. Difficult for myself at least to enter both when they are like this.
This. I only have enough time to practice for one race as it stands right now. It would also make sense for people who can't play on certain days as at least now they'll only miss on one race instead of both

I'm wondering why they still don't have published advice about this pre-season...
May be they are still deciding about rules: there will be a top-player race? This pre-season results will be instrumental for official season?

I have the replay for the Manufacturer's Cup top 24 from yesterday. Will share it.

Me too! Will probably have to go between the two, I’m not a turn up and be instantly fast like some I need to put in the work to be partially competitive!

Announcement up about the coming season. Doesn’t really say much about it, short of there is no top 24 stars race in this pre-season championship, won’t be back in till the official season starts. And that four races count towards the standings.

I guess they won’t be releasing the full info about the official season until the Nürburgring event, given this is the reason for the event.

I think its better to leave out the top 24 race. Its kinda like that time F1 did double points at the last race. Everybody hated it.

It will be back in for the official season apparently. Unlikely they will ditch it as this is the race they will stream for sure.

I will rephrase that. I like the idea of a superstar race, just not of the dubious amount of points won off it

At first I was sort of against the Top 24 race since you can gain what amounts to a whole week's worth of points in one race, but after they changed the matchmaking criteria it's much more reasonable

Yeah does seem a large amount of points, but does give pretty much everyone in the race the opportunity to win I guess.

Does seem more reasonable now, I’m confused with it a bit though. Is it just based on standings or does DR make a difference to get into the race? I realise the restriction on 2 off each manufacturer etc

It's just the standings :)
