It's been a while but had great results in both Nations and Manufacturers.
Manufacturers was straightforward. Get the pole and I was going to win. Well, didn't get it because I was driving for Hyundai instead of Toyota and I had no draft help in any of my fliers. No joke but I also started 4th in the race and finished 2nd. Tried to do a little fuel saving but wasn't feasible with the room's pace. Got close to getting a penalty a few times but got through clean.

Wow, I gave it no thought in trying this race with the Hyundai, congratulations! I think I won't be able to catch your place in the manufacturer's standing with these results you're getting!

This was the top lobby for nations, but for a perspective from the back! I think I could've done way better on the qualy if I did the right strategy, so I knew I could push for some positions... But it didn't go as expected, I had a really weird 10 sec penalty and an incident that put me in last. 11th overall was a great result after this! :D

I'm really interested to see what's going to happen after the pre-season. Imo there might be a break (where the other regional cups will take place), a few tweaks here and there and then PD will kick off the official competition.

I think a break would be ideal.
It would be logical for the cups to begin in August when most players tend to have free time, but I guess they'll lose some players if they do this.
The competition needs a real circuit or two, ideally Spa, Silverstone or Laguna Seca.

I must say, after watching a few streams on YouTube, the quality of the fields have been really impressive. No room for error whatsoever. Sad I can't participate.

I think PD will not adjust points to the quality of the field, but rather have fixed point earnings with a random field of A+ drivers. This would make more sense IMO.

Think it’s unlikely there will be a break, probably go straight into it. originally I thought the layout of 2 days a week was good, gave me the chance to practice but now I’m not sure it’s enough. I definitely think they need to split the days between nations and manufacturers kinda boring waiting for them to come around.

I’m really hoping for some big change or something that really mixes it up when they announce it next week, something we didn’t see coming. Fia races are the best thing in the game but equally I can’t help but think they can do so much more!

Wasn't expecting to do this well but I'm 3rd for Mitsubishi (first backup for top 24 lol?) feels like it was a good pick the Gr4 was strong all season. Hope it can keep up tomorrow on Suzuka. Probably next season I'm going Citroen(I like the extra gears) or Mercedes(easiest Gr3 to go fast in).

I won't be around this weekend, but is Saturday going to be the top 24 superstar races?

Great to hear you're considering using Mercedes next, although I'm not sure you'll like the Gr.4 too much. Still, the Gr.4 and Gr.3 cars are one of the easiest to get the hang of, so I hope you enjoy it. :)

There is no top 24 superstars race for this preseason

I too am interested to see what will happen with the official season though I hope it's a bit more structured for the week and not
having to do all the races on the same day at different times.

I have struggled to partake in the Nations Cup races but have managed to take part in most of the manufacturers series races
though I am very well down the rankings being 3724th in the world and 287th in the Toyota ranks.

Hoping to get in both races tonight and on Saturday as curious to see what my final rank will be in the pre-season but I have
a lot of work to do to get really competiive as I still am having to get to grips with racing against real racers rather than the AI.

I haven’t entered as many as I’d like this time around but now the man cave is setup hopefully that will change.

Still would agree definitely need to be split on different days, haven’t managed any nations and only two manufacturers. Not too fussed seeing its still only preseason hopefully can put more effort into the actual seasons!

Not great at Suzuka but nothing to lose so go with that one, better at Interlagos coming up.

the 991 RSR feels so stable after switching to it from the Supra which is really tail-happy...anyhow, managed to be 5th on the Nations, but should have been 3rd as I was driving behind the guy who was 3rd and who had 4 secs penalty, unfortunately due to bad fuel management I had to do fuel map 6 for the half of the last lap and lost one position...anyway, I'm really surprised that I managed to get a clean racing for 9 laps on Yamagiwa + Miyabi (currently on 9 clean races streak :) )

I've got done 2 manufacturer races, but will get my 3rd in tonight and hopefully my 4th in at Interlagos on Saturday.
Haven't given myself much wiggle room - but I think I've got about 3200 points so far so I would be thrilled if I finish above 6000 points.

I‘m still undecided what car to choose for the nations race. Doesn‘t really matter tho since I suck at that track anyway :boggled: I hope I can score decently in the Manufaturers race and won‘t loose another truckload of DR

Subaru... Choose Subaru ...Subaru... :D

I get the impression the Supra will be the popular choice. I did test it but the turbo gave me issues at certain corners. Leaning towards the Mercedes for a driver friendly 2nd gear. Not the fastest but I'm also aiming for damage limitation.

Only if you come with the Subaru as a relief driver.

What BB should I use, I can‘t really get a feel for this car :(

I’ll use the Mercedes as usual, but the Corvette is probably the best choice, since it’s more stable and predictable than the Supra, and almost as fast. In my practicing (of a whopping 5 cars), the Corvette and AMG were the same, but I didn’t get the full potential out of the Vette. The Subaru was about 3 tenths off of them along with the Citroen, and I was 9 tenths off of them with the Supra, but it doesn’t suit my style at all. I didn’t try the Porsche since I hate it. I’ll probably try the Lancer and Lexus tonight before the race as well.

I use +5 for everything front engined

Supra won the race I was in, but the corvette was 2nd, bmw z4 was 3rd and mercedes was 4th, porsche 5th and I was 6th in the mclaren - so I don't think the car was too important. Just pick the car you like. Quite a nice spread of cars for a nations cup race.

Note to self: don't make huge mistake in qualifying and end up not posting a time.

Saying that started 18th and ended 6th, so at least I had fun for a change :)

Well that’s just 🤬, first ever disconnect! I think everyone disconnected mid quali!

If you get disconnected in quali can you enter the next?

i don't think so

I've got exactly 4444 points so far. I almost don't want to ruin it lol.

Thanks @vvise

Two things suck from this disconnect, 1, I suck at Suzuka and was putting in a decent quali up to 7th I think in an A+ strong lobby was really looking forward to it, 2, I’ve only entered two races was hoping to do this and Saturdays race to get 4 on the board. Ah well always next time!

At least I didn’t lose any DR and SR!

I used the AMG in a lobby with 14(?) A+ drivers and overall 14 Toyotas. Three guys were disconnected during matchmaking, I qualified 9th and finished 4th :dopey: 1500pts. and +500DR :)

are you sure about that?

Well that just makes it worse!! It obviously hadn’t updated I’ve lost 900DR SR still 99, if only the understood how long that 900 DR will take me to get back!!!
