Did the Manufacturer Race first today, not a chance in the Jag. Started 13th, finished 15th. Nothing special, at least i got my points up to 1834.

Was a bit scared for the Monza race in the Jr. Wasn't so bad, qualified 10th, finished 7th. Everybody at least tried to avoid a crash in T1. Got 2 seconds penalty, but expected more. Bumped to a nice 2173 points.

Both races i gained some DR and even stayed on 99 SR!

Disconnects and blue screens seem to be quite big at the moment :(. Fortunately my blue screen happened after the race when I was checking where I was in the region and not in the race... Definitely think the latest patch has caused some stability issues.
They need to do something about it. I lost 3k (not counting the points I would havr gotten in the race) because of 2 blue screen even before warm up started. Lost points because of a disconnect during a race too. It shouldnt have an effect on DR. It's ********.

So Monza was terrible, accumulated about 5 hours worth of penalties for practically non existing contacts. Somehow kept my sr at 99 but it's too tense. Not fun, feels increasingly like a chore.

When bad days even get worse... :banghead:

After watching the German team losing at the World Cup, i started a 90 min session on Monza, with the Red Bull and entered the second race.
On 6th place at the end of qualifying, in a strong 2500 point lobby, i lost connection and ended with 0 points for the Nations Cup and -2000 DR Score. 🤬

Ouch
My error dc was luckily on loading/grid screen, so I miraculously avoided dropping dr/sr.
Somehow I have a feeling this has something to do with that livery bug that came with new patch..

Like I said only Man. Cup tonight :indiff: Started 15th, a spin when I was 10th , a wise undercut finished me 12th, 798 points in the bag and a little improvement in the rankings  Better than nothing

@Matty28 Thanks for making my day today, it brings me so much joy and comfort to my heart knowing we have such great talent in gt sport community.

@PD for everyone's sake, ditch the penalty system for contacts, this is not even funny anymore.

Well my races were not good results for me tonight so am a little on the depressed side.

Nations Cup report first.

Qualifying started well as I got a good lap in after the out lap a 1:58 but then my later laps had Red Bull's everywhere so
I wasn't able to improve my time so I ended up 14th on the grid going into the race.

That was okay as I was prepared for that possibility.

Race starts and quite a bit of chaos going through turn 1 chicane and I find myself up into 5th place so that was fine
going round lap 1 but then I wasn't concentrating enough and braked too late for Turn 1 chicane on Lap 2
so by the time I got back on track and served penalty from shortcutting I was back down to 12th.

Between Lap 2 and 8 I was up and down like a yo-yo and went for fuel on Lap 8 coming in 7th place,
no change of tyres taken which may have been a mistake - not sure.

Came out 12th and eventually finished the race 15th.

Lap times were relatively consistent at 2:02/2;03's but way off the leading pace of 1:58's.

Manufacturers Cup did not go any better for me tonight. I was expecting with it being Dragon Trail Gardens
that my practice might have got a better result.

I'd managed a 1:39 in practice session so starting qualifying looked good as got a 1:42 qualifying lap on the
first lap after leaving the pits but then I had some bad driving and hit the wall hard on the second hot lap
and then completely mucked up on the final attempt due to a Toyota 86 distracting me.

So result was 10th on the grid.

The race itself started off well and I got myself up to challenging for 4th place in the early stages but then my
least favourite thing happened of having another car be right alongside me going through the complex trio
of right hand corners and I ended up sliding into the wall. :irked:

After that I was running alone in 12th until my early pit stop and then 15th/14th place for the rest of the race.

My lap times were relatively consistent at 1:43/44's but overall I was way off the leading pace tonight.

By far my worst overall night of Season 1 but I was pretty tired going into the races so that probably is the root
cause but hopefully better results will come from Saturday's races. 👍

Now I need to eat and then repair the damage to my SR/DR before the weekend. :gtpflag:

To be fair that was a talented move by Matty, caught you napping ;)
Hahaha exactly, one talent backs up another, who else. I will enjoy representing the UK in the nation cup this year. :)

Cuber, yes I raced on 2 accounts today manufacturer race, is there a problem with that?

Holy 🤬 you guys... I can’t believe I just won a FIA Nations Cup race :scared:

I was like ‘hm let’s give this a go’ and expected absolutely nothing from it... but qualified on pole and survived T1, kept it clean, no penalties, no huge mistakes, tiny wiggle coming out of Ascari on the second or third lap that scared the 🤬 out of me but recovered decently and just somehow drove clean to the finish line...

Probably weird to say, but this feels so very weird for me :scared: I’m still shaking now... I’m proud of myself though

I rather unwisely did a Suzuka N300 Daily just before this evening's Manufacturer Series race, to boost my SR and get a decent lobby.

Instead there were three SF-Rs and a KTM X-Bow who were ramming right from the line and I ended up with SR E... Yay.

Won my Manufacturer Series race for a MAJESTIC 29 points. And, despite the third place car on the grid just ramming everyone out of the way and sideswiping them as they passed because he had no talent (I went from 3rd to 1st because he was tangled up battering 2nd), got my SR back up to B. Neat.

Took my first Nations Cup win in the X Juniors at Monza after qualifying 4th. Turn 1 was the typical crapshoot where I got caught up as a passenger, but I came out relatively unscathed. Danced around the other drivers struggling to stay on track and ran untroubled for the rest of the race.

Scored a juicy 843 points and recovered my SR back to S.

When someone is fully alongside/ahead you're supposed to give them a cars width lol
Don't worry it's not your fault you made the biggest dive bomb in manufacturer's history and that you are driving a noob controller car. But, perhaps you will have plenty of chance to explain it to me, on how to overtake someone on any of the live events, looking forward to that! :)

Hi, I would like to know does the SR and DR affect how many points it is possible to get in a FIA race ? I have a low DR and SR and even if I win a race its about 250 points ?

So do I need to up my rating if I want to compete in the top class ?

Thank you for answers.

Also, where is it possible to buy the Red BUll X Junior car ? I cant find the Red Bull dealership ?

I wouldn't have expected someone on my inside like that at the apex, even after seeing them taking a tighter line in the mirror. And a penalty for that is really ridiculous. The game hands out penalties too many times for the car being hit (most of the time from the back).

Says the man who crashed into pretty much everyone today

Okay, so here's where you're embarrassing yourself. Not only are you denying the fact that you are supposed to give a cars width to someone alongside or ahead but now you're dealing out pathetic little threats. You're also a clear hypocrite. I overtook you at the hairpin after you cheated by deliberately blocking me on the straight just before. This is was just after YOU sent it up the inside of dayrone and he had to jump out of the way to avoid you. Since you've also been caught cheating entering with multiple accounts, I hopefully won't even see you at a live event. It baffles me how someone can be this fast but have so little understanding of racing, so little self awareness and such a toxic personality.

It's not really fair to run 2 races and you could take points away from people by beating them. PD clearly only intends for us to do 1 per round.
Unfortunately, I have 2 addresses and currently in a very specific situation so on paper I can run this for 2 countries untill Star Player registration. Although, I have decided today that Croatia will be left behind I am afraid and it's not fair as you say. I was hoping something will change with eligibility rules regarding that but just realised today that I don't have time to run both, hence why my 2nd manufacturer race was a disaster and I apologise to TRL_Augh for the mess I created.

To be fair I think you are completely in the wrong here, I've seen the clip and you can't expect to leave the door open for that long with someone so close behind you and expect them not to try the inside.

Its not even a divebomb because those 2 90 degree lefts are separate corners and he is well alongside you at the point of turn in, you just didn't give him space on the inside.

Finally, be careful using 2 accounts, its against competition rules.

You were not alongside dive bomber. I am not making any threats just to be clear, but both you and that thomas need some lessons, but at least he's not driving a noob controller car.

And the fact that you all agree on his move makes me worry.....

SR determines the strength of field you're matched with, the total DR of the lobby determines how many points you score.

My race earlier was mainly D/E with a couple of E/E. A win scored me 29pt. Last week I was in a mainly C/B lobby with some B/B and B/C. A 3rd place scored me 265pt.

Also, where is it possible to buy the Red BUll X Junior car ? I cant find the Red Bull dealership ?
The Gran Turismo dealership.

what's this then matey

If you're talking about the other overtake at the hairpin (not what I was talking about when I said "alongside) then as I said I did that because of your deliberate blocking. Sometimes if people push me off the track or block and don't give the place back then I'll take the place back.

As for "noob controller car", just stop please haha, I'm half a second off the pace in it and I still got a good result, it's bloody difficult to drive!

Perfect photo mate, which clearly shows I am on ideal racing line to exit the corner while you are on a ideal line to kiss the wall or grass on the right, or slam into me which of course happened.

No at that point I am on the brakes going at a speed so I can hug the apex as tightly as possible. If you'd given a cars width you'd have got a way better exit and driven off with superior Viper power and kept the position most likely.

And if I misjudged it and hit you even though you'd given me room then I'd have let you go ahead
