Is PSN down? I just finished (and luckily saved) a livery, and then the game disconnected and crashed. I'm getting an error when trying to sign in now (WS-37431-8).

If the game didn't crash it would've cost me my Manufacture's entry.
The issue with PSN is that anyone who wasn't online can't log on. I was going to do the first manufacturer race but I guess that plan won't happen now.

Well, first post here while i've been reading the forum for a while now, just wanted to show what happened to me and my team mate during top 24, hard way to have your race ruined when you could have reached top 10 at the end :/ this guy took both of us out without at least trying to avoid us while his braking point was missed by far, he also forced his way at the very start of the race apparently... Good job to the guys in front, that was 4s faster than our scrim race TRL_LIGHTNING, gg to you and to all clean drivers in that race

You've got to hand it to him he managed the rare double punt (or maybe it's not that rare). He nearly got me a couple of times as well. I'm guessing he had no concept of strategy and was just racing every lap like his last.

I started my T24 manufacturers quali by burning fuel. Then I realised actually I need the fuel to do 2 laps :grumpy:, so I put fuel map 4 for the rest. Unfortunately I forgot to go back to map 1 until the Porsche curves on my 1st hotlap lol, so it all rested on my 2nd lap. Thankfully it wasn't a complete shocker, played it safe for 15th, a few places behind where I could have been in the Lancer. The start was poor, dropping to 18th at the first corner, but from then on it was a totally different story. I honestly don't think I made a single mistake in the whole race. I made several perfectly timed overtakes, got past slower guys but used faster guys to save fuel, never went off, never got any penalties. Ended up finishing 7th just behind 6th. Looks like I'm going to stay 5th overall which is pretty cool, but 2nd Mitsubishi because JAdams also ran a great race finishing an astonishing 2nd. I've got a real challenge on my hands for next season.

Nations:
After a 2.07.865 in training I had podium in aim.

In my fastest qualy lap an idiot in his outlap blocked me. Couldn't swallow my anger from that on:
Started 9th ->
Barely tapped somebody a little,10secs penalty->
overpaced and flow out->
Rage quitt !!!

-1.8k DR and - 17 SR

Manufactures:
That lead in manufactures to a room with 1 S-driver, 3 A-Drivers and 16 (!) D-Drivers.
Finished second and gained only 5 SR back because of undrivable penalty track limits in sarthe. When even the Aliens in 24SS lobby can't avoid penalties in sarthe, who is supposed to? Kaz himself?

Nations cup:
Considering the fact that I had just finished a few beers, and I'm bad at Suzuka anyways, this was never going to be a good race.
Qualy P15 (beter than I expected)
Race P11 (Could be worse)

Manufacturers cup:
Beers had worn off a bit, and I'm quite ok at Le Mans.
Qualy P5 (Made a little mistake, would be 4th otherwise)
Race P5 (Guy in front of me pitted twice, but guy behind me was an alien, and overtook me after my pitstop, still great result though)

Also I was 1.4s slower in qualifying than in practice for ultimate pace, and about 1s off my consistent practice pace. No idea why

My expectations were also higher due to good training times, but in qualy and race it was also very different. I guess in training mode its like having empty fuel.

Looks like the best preparing is indeed creating a lobby with same setup like the event.

Manufacturer - Circuit de la Sarthe - Viper Gr. 3

Qualified in 9th position. Not bad, despite some hiccups and making friends with the penalty system.
In the first lap, I quickly climbed into 7th place, and eventually approached 6th place. Someone in the front left the race, so now it's the battle for 4th place. It's me vs. the Aston Martin. Things are getting heated. We occasionally pass trade spots.
At this point, it looked like PSN was having some connection issues*, as I noticed the Aston Martin was starting to rubber band. According to them, I was rubber banding as well. We still duked it out, but for the last few laps I tried not to be too close behind or ahead of them so the rubber banding won't wipe one or both of us out.

I did bump into them at one point, so sorry about that. I love you. <3

At the end, we both had some penalties to burn off, and my friend caught up to the both of us. At the last turn:
I burned off my penalty right at the end, but my friend had a smaller penalty and burned it off and crossed the finish line by hundredths of a second, while the Aston burned it off last but still finished with a 1 second penalty.

It was an intense and exciting race, despite trying not to rubber band into each other. I finished.. well, I forgot what place I finished in, but I got 1414 points (total points amounting to 5243), and I am more than happy with this strong finish to this second season. Looking forward to see what my final results are!

* I noticed that my PSN and PSN messages app can't connect to PSN so I assume the connection issue(s) is on Playstation's end.

No PSN is not down. Im about to head into the Manufacturer Series with the GTR Gr3:cool:

PSN says otherwise:

It looks like if you're still on PSN, it's fine, but if you're logging into it (i.e. turning the console on), you can't connect.
E - Just lost connection.

Just got done with my manufacturers cup race at le mans. Qualified a lowly 14th due to a shortcut penalty. Then got spun around right at the start of the race just before the start finish line, so i had to work myself up from dead last, got up to 9th before taking the pit stop at the end of lap 3. Ended up getting very close to a top 5 but cutted just a little too much curb on the inside of the final chicane while trying to overtake a mustang at the finish line. ended up 7th after applying the penalities instead but still its a better effort than what i had hoped for. Due to my residency in a certain state in the usa, i will not be participating in the final season of the manufacturers cup. But it was certainly a solid effort for me and my lamborghini huracans during this 2nd season. Fyi, i entered this race ranked inside the top 300 in the americas region and inside the top 10 in the lamborghini rankings for the americas region.

I wish my imagination was as good as yours. My mood could've been better after that race

Sorry for launching you, too. I was caught off guard and could've avoided that

I came across the track too far after rejoining so that was on me as well. I feel bad for the other two guys as they had nothing to do with it.

Also as a note to self... even though it is probably the faster strategy over a race distance, don't try to do a zero-stop strategy when everyone around you is on a 1-stop strategy. Ended up being caught up in other fights after getting forced off track by faster cars several times, so my race was essentially finished by this point anyway.

Having qualified 4th it would have been better to keep running there on a 1-stop strategy. It would have probably secured me a DR S rating for next season... oh well.

So I'm 7th in the region for McLaren. Can I enter the Top24? What happens?

No, You need to be Top 24 across all manufacturers, under a 2 players per manufacturer limit.

If there are no-shows then "lesser" drivers will be picked, so if you have time to run the last slot you can enter the SS race and see if by some miracle you get in.

Good to hear that something finally slowed you down...xD

Edit: not really, shame I couldn't see you battle with Nico...well done!

That’s what I’m doing. I’m rolling the dice and going for the manufacturers top 24, even though just about every manufacturer has at least 1 and usually 2 drivers in front of me in points. I’ll be totally uncompetitive in the race, but cruising around for those 2000 points is enough for me.

Don’t want to lag behind my European and Asian Subaru counterparts again this season.

You are #1 for Subaru so you have a legitimate shot at getting in.

So pleased with this result! Its been so long since I won a top split FIA race (Test season 24) and I nearly threw it away in the last 30 seconds.
Managed to avoid penalties and an interesting strategy (probably wrong but it got me away from the slipstream train).

I agree with this. You got a shot at it, so go for it!
Compared to me, I'd have no chance, as there are about 10-12 Dodge racers that are better than me for the Manufacturer's Cup lol.

I've never practiced more for a race. Hopefully it pays off. Getting ready for the next one make....err nations now.

Update: Not a great start with qualifying. A second off my best because people cant seem to not block on out laps. Could have done much better but started 3rd. grrrr

Update 2: I seemingly forgot ALL of my practice. @praiano63 was putting some pressure on my after a lot of sloppy driving on my part and it got to me and I looped it in T1. Back to 10th? I made a decent come back drive even with forgetting my strategy to 6th. Sigh. I had the pace but the pressure got to me.

Nah, 67th overall isn’t good enough. I think Peugeot is the only brand without someone ahead of me in points.

Skipping this race then, not a fan of Le Sarthe with the penalties, since I was slow enough driving there at my optimal speed, and now I have to tiptoe. I’ll only lose DR in the last slot.
