My internet can't handle racing and streaming at the same time sadly, but I'll save a replay when I get around to racing again :) thanks for the luck! You too
Did you complete both FIA races without disconnection in last evening? I got 0 point all night.🤬

I'm happy , it was fun on Brands Hatch today , not so bad considering a little accident first lap , i could perform a good come back from 20 th to 11 th position and some good points in a very good room.

Well, that was not a great start to Season 3 at all.

Not much I can say about Nations other than I didn't get a chance to run a flying lap at Brands with low fuel. Even then, my time would've been between 5th-7th in any other room but in the lobby I was in, it was well back in 11th. Pretty much knew positions was going to be hard to gain and indeed, all I could do was 8th despite no real mistakes. Far too much time lost in the first stint but my pace compared to everyone else in the second stint was okay.

With the pace I had at Manufacturer's, the race was a complete disaster. I went a bit too wide at the last hairpin on my final flyer and I ended up further back than expected. Start was fine but something happened with cars ahead at the first hairpin and I got really held up heading toward the Esses. Apparently, it was enough that someone behind me took advantage and dove on my inside. Unfortunately, I wasn't expecting it since the Jag has so much understeer that I have to run really wide lines through there. By the time I realized the move, there was contact and I got a five second penalty. I'll admit it was a bit frustrating for such a move that early and so my driving got a bit sloppy. I almost spun off the curbs off the final corner one lap and went wide off the final hairpin trying to scrub off the time. It still could've been a good result except the Jag let me down and understeered off a corner and spun around. Didn't even reduce my penalty much either. I managed to salvage 8th but that should've been much better. Rather disappointed overall.

I did my very first fia race tonight - nations cup - and I sucked consistently every lap in 1:29-30 except for the first and the pit stop.. I did only 1 so I managed to grab 4 places and ended up 10th. Still happy to participate. I have to get better though and practice for the next one.

I'm not very good at Brands with GR3 cars, so i decided to try a new car. It was really fun tho. Vantage is a very good car to drive. My qualy lap was average, only got the first lap together and that was with the tank full. Couldve hit a 23.9 on lower fuel if i got my act together.

Manu was better, as expected. My qualy was poor, again the only lap that i did well was the first with full tank. 3rd spot on the grid, and saving as much fuel as possible without dropping back too much. I lost a lot of time with people trying to overtake me. With the massive nerfs the Citroen got, i'm experiencing higher tyre wear and of course, the pace is much worse. Had to held myself in the end from Ant's pressure.

Nations: Qualified 7th with an average time, but with my practice time close to pole, I told myself I could battle for a podium place. On 2nd corner, the three in front of me go wide. I take the inside and find myself in 4th. On the 3rd corner, 5th place wants to take my position and I end up in the grass after being pushed. Unfortunately, I brake too late on the following corner, end again in grass and spin out. At that moment i'm dead last. Then starts the comeback race. Lap after lap, I keep it fast, but safe and regain some positions, mostly on people spinning out. I pit on the 9th lap at 12th place. I continue my comeback and at the beginning of last lap, I'm back to my starting position. Then, on the last straightaway, I see 5th place going very slow (out of fuel). He gets passed by 6th, then I also pass him just before the finishing line. Wished I didn't make that mistake on 1st lap, but it was still an interesting race.

Manufacturer: Qualified 8th with my Mercedes. The first few laps are quite pushy and I lose pace on the people in front because I constantly have to defend position. I even lose some places in the first few laps and drop as far as 11th place. Then, some people realize they have to pit early and I gain two positions. I pit at end of 7th lap in 9th place, and exits 8th. This time, I immediately set my pace and people behind me can't keep up. End of 8th lap, I gain another place with someone in the pits and 6th place exits just in front of me. I manage to stay within ~1 sec. of him until last lap, but he jumps on the brakes before the finishing line for a penalty he didn't serve yet, so I pass him and finish... 5th?!? Looking at the results screen, I notice that 5th place had a 5 sec. penalty that was still active, which made him drop to 7th. Nice! I was happy with the results since I'm not particularly a fan of this track.

I think the best part of tonight's races was not having to serve a single penalty. :D

Last night was my first time back on GTS with the new tyre model. I think i should of spent more time in it. 2 hours of practice was not enough.
Focused my time on the Manufacturers knowing Gr4 would be an easier learning curve than gr3.

Qualified 2nd but knew i could of had first. Kept up with 1st until i made mistake and had to give up 2nd then 3rd with another mistake opening the doors for others. Accidentally punted 3rd place in the hairpin as i missed my braking point... sorry. Thinking i murdered him i waited till he passed me but realised he reset instantly and already drove off. Ended up 8th. Conserved fuel and jumped the pack to take 4th. Was happy with that recovery.

FIA was another story... Was consistently lapping 24s 25s with ease in practice no issue. Then something happened to my g29 when the event loaded and FFB was weird for the event. Felt like damage was stuck on as turning in one direction had very little FFB. The Z4 was not great in the event. No grip at all. Come up to Druids and it felt like the front became airborne... got 15th... yay....

Time to practice more

Everything was going well for Nations race, got some practice last night, qualified 4th or 5th, then the race started. I can't quite explain it, but once the race started, the Mitsubishi felt like a boat.

I struggled through the first few laps, lost a few places while racking up about 7 seconds of penalties. In the end, I managed 8th in a strong room, so pretty happy with that.

Manufacturer race I knew was going to be bad. Didn't practice much and can't figure out how to deal with the understeer of the Mitsubishi.

Qualified around 12th and was under pressure from @KONTRAone (I think) going into the multiple apex right. Understeered wide, knew I would get a penalty, so just kept the gas down. That didn't work at all. I hit the barrier at exit, went to last place and had car damage. Drove the rest of the race by myself way behind everyone else. I think 2 people rage quit, so at least I got more than zero points. Thanks for that!

Still had a lot of fun and, as always, great to see so many GTPers.

@KONTRAone put up a good fight there for a while, mftr was decent overall, sorry about your bad race @DriftMethod

Was running well during the First Nations timeslot, slight contact going into T1 L3, fell to dead last and stayed there. Sigh, maybe next time.

Tell me, how many points did u get for your 8th place?! I assume it was an A+/S Room. I had a quite similar experience yesterday though i didn’t spun. 8th in an A/S Room. Ended with 1042Points. @OutlawQuadrnt

it was Z28

i thought the move was a bit too aggressive but he defends it on stream immediately... happens at 23:52 it looks like i can't link to it here directly

That was a fun scrap I gotta say. Gr sir 👍

That was indeed me behind you. We were side by side for a good while there man, I had a blast. It was a little tight the first few laps and I lost some spots but mostly clean all around.
We did get tangled up at the last turn at one point behind STEALTHR1 but it worked out OK. And I didn't see you hit the wall but i knew you were alongside and then you were not lol. Heard the impact shortly after and it sounded like a hard hit... Sorry about the outcome but it was a fun battle for sure!

And it's funny you say that about nations because I had the same thought after the race. Qualified 5th or 6th but when the race got going I couldn't keep it in check for the life of me. Finished that race last and completely baffled by my lack of control compared to qualifying...

Overall though I had fun. It was good to see you all out there

I wish I knew about the stricter track limits before qualifying . Screwed up my qualy at both tracks.

PD needs to offer a practice mode for fia races with the tire and fuel settings .

Practicing in a lobby isnt the same if the FIA track limits are stricter .

@ZokyCRO
Congrats for the nice two second places, a very good start into the season I think

Sad from your point of view to lose the victory in Manu, but I was really surprised about Oscaro Mansons risky but succsessful move with not changing tires.
Thanks, very satisfied with nations race in a very strong lobby, although I should have risked more in 1st stint.

As for manu, I am pretty sure Manson changed the tyres? But that fuel consumption on Citroen is absolutely ridicilous, same as Megane. I had a very strong race on manu, making consistent low 38 laps but barely catched him in the last lap, many thanks PD for the power nerf.

I just guessed that he didn't change tires, because you were about 3-4 secs ahead of second place (TX3 Adam?) and Manson was behind him. And after the pit he was about 4 or 5 secs in front of you suddenly (everything from remembering though), so I thought he refueled only.

You reached him to final lap, but stayed clean so it decreases the chance of overtaking (I should've tell this my oppenents in Manu, where 2 of them divebombed me in last lap, but thats another story)

Had a good Nations race at Brands yesterday on my new US account (please don't judge me, I often can't manage the European FIA times for various reasons), despite finishing 5th from pole in a B/C mixed lobby with a couple of Es thrown in.

Due to mistakes on the opening couple of laps, long story short, I was backwards in 15th by the beginning of lap 3. Before the pit window, I was making positions, then I pitted on lap 9 from 27 seconds off the lead. Then, after everybody's pit stops I was only 17 seconds behind and gaining on 4th, with consistent mid 1:27s (which for my standards was actually quite decent) but unfortunately had to back out due to tyre wear in the closing laps.

Eventually finished just 8 seconds off the lead in 5th, so I was happy despite the fact that I blew a great opportunity for the win or at least a solid podium.

Nope pretty sure its the fuel. I was told by some guys in our messenger group that 0 stop with citroen and megane is even faster, like 4-5secs and then I wouldn't stand a chance to catch him.

It went amazingly well!! My first victory!!

I lost the pole in the last 30 seconds of quali  I thought I was going to start upfront.

P1 went out in the very first corner, and I put a whapping 10 seconds difference with the pack. It was a very strange race, when you race solo and you realize you can actually win a lot of **** crosses your mind, it's hard to control (I gave silly names to the corners to distract my attention a bit)
This new tyre model suits me!

PS
Before that I almost got a heart attack watching @Tidgney 's streaming in Twitchi. Don't do that to your fans, please, I almost needed reanimation.:dopey:

It's the penalty that irked me far more than the move itself. I already lost the position because I decided to back off and not run over the driver ahead of me. I'm going to get slapped five seconds on top of it? C'mon, game! When I really think about it, the crux of the problem is that the imbalances in the Gr4 class creates situations where you're either getting run over or running over drivers depending on the section of track.

I did have time to practice for the next Nations Cup race. Think about touching a blade of grass anywhere at Yamagiwa and you're getting slapped hard with a penalty. In reverse, the chicane is far less scary but boy, the track limits are tight. The esses are far more fun going downhill but I'm worried about understeering into a barrier in dirty air.

Manufacturer's... the Gr3 Jag is still terrible with understeer galore and it's a standing start on top of it. I'm already in a deep hole and it could get even deeper. Oy!
I'm going to share my secret technic here, I just laugh at corners

I love gardens, it is a fairly easy track, no wonder why is the first of the final season
After tonight's fiasco, every corner at Gardens is number 3. :ouch:
