it was Z28

i thought the move was a bit too aggressive but he defends it on stream immediately... happens at 23:52 it looks like i can't link to it here directly

I watched that part and it was a clean move, but his ultra-aggressive comment of that incident irkes me off

Tell me, how many points did u get for your 8th place?! I assume it was an A+/S Room. I had a quite similar experience yesterday though i didn’t spun. 8th in an A/S Room. Ended with 1042Points

I did get 1522 points for 7th place. A+/S lobby EMEA but not top split (I think winner got about 2,4k points). My DR is about 54-55k.

I wonder who Manson_GTS is in the bellow picture in Asia region, driving a Citroen manufacturer?:D:rolleyes:

@PirovacBoy I think you need to have a word with your pit crew. You came into the pits just in front of me, and then exited a couple of secs behind. You only had 1% less fuel so I think they need a bit of a kick up the backside.

I got 1144 in that race, so once you get your STR account up in DR then you wont have VW Scirocco's blocking you as much :)

Okay so my best start in the final season at least.

Still have to work on my qualifying but starting at the back of the pack and working up seems to be my speciality at the moment so
here's the summary of my races from last night.

Nations Cup:

Qualified 19th due to lots of traffic and incidents/ghosted cars in the 10 minute qualifying session.

18 laps was quite an endurance race and I actually had a brief few minutes of RSI in my wrist after the race finished which was a
little concerning but the race itself was good, I had no problems with the track limits and due to lots of initial carnage/penalties I
got myself up to 8th place and stayed there for the race.

I pitted on Lap 9 and dropped to 11th briefly but then managed to work my way back up to 8th place.

So after first race I have 335 points on the board from Brands Hatch, 271 in the UK and 1628th for region.

Manufacturers Cup:

Manufacturers Cup was a little more problematic, the new track limits after the opening straight/sweeping left hander on Dragons
Trail Gardens were a problem each lap and I kept getting shortcut penalties so I am going to have to try and find a different line
through these corners for future races.

Qualifying I could only manage 16th on the grid but the competition was much more challenging here as the Nissan GTR didn't seem to
have the legs for staying near the top as I see in the leaderboards 8th is the best entry for Nissan overall.

I managed a 10th place finish from my race despite all my shortcut penalties so not a bad result.

264 points, 129th for Nissan and 1732th in the regional rankings

So this is a very good start to the final season for me but a long way to go yet.

I don't see any fairness in this section, so I'm boycotting both of these championships for all time. There's no real point for me to come back for another season. I thus quit this for all time.

I'm making a note of everyone using 2 accounts to race in the Final Season only, he's on the list don't worry ;)

Its not fair for someone playing by the rules to have their Finals spot stolen by someone with multiple chances, and its in the rules right here:

Hymdbix.png

If anyone owns multiple accounts, as long as you don't enter the Final Season twice you'll avoid my wrath  The list is going straight to PD when they send the email invitations out to the Finals.

I really like the little squeal of mixed excitement and terror haha.

Haha, nerves, terror, excitement as I didn't know the other 2 guys as well but absolutely mega by both of them as we all made it and some epic action! The squealing only adds to it I think haha!

It went amazingly well!! My first victory!!

I lost the pole in the last 30 seconds of quali  I thought I was going to start upfront.

P1 went out in the very first corner, and I put a whapping 10 seconds difference with the pack. It was a very strange race, when you race solo and you realize you can actually win a lot of **** crosses your mind, it's hard to control (I gave silly names to the corners to distract my attention a bit)
This new tyre model suits me!

PS
Before that I almost got a heart attack watching @Tidgney 's streaming in Twitchi. Don't do that to your fans, please, I almost needed reanimation.:dopey:

Great effort, congratulations on the win :D! Which part gave you a heart attack? The hilarious mis-judgement of laps in nations or the scary ass overtake in manufacturers :D? Gets your blood flowing with laughter and failure or excitement at craziness at least! Glad I streamed it even with youtube being stupid because you got to witness it live :D

Manufacturer's... the Gr3 Jag is still terrible with understeer galore and it's a standing start on top of it

Yes! Standing start? The best feature in sportsmode FIA ever! Because,...

1. no need for wasting time by putting effort into qualifying

2. no need for training at all, after lap 1 anyway nobody will be there where he thought he would be

3. well balanced grids in daylies afterwards, because of all the more participiants who need to recover their SR back from B to S again

4. an improved penalty system in the next patch, PD will have finally all their needed experiment- results. Because every incident in every variants happened.

Wait, I'll take point 4 back. It assumes PD observes the races...

Ah yeah I know you I remember.
Well you know how it is in the Balkan States, if you don’t come today you come tomorrow.
I almost drown my Diva in the Pits as I left with way too much fuel, that I actually could have done at least 2honor laps after I crossed the finish line.
If it wasn’t for the unnecessary penalty due to our little intermezzo the lap before , on the final hairpin it would have been a different Story. And although I somehow managed to get past that German Tank, I had to let you pass.
Anyway it was an entertaining race

This Lexus RC-F with still 44L remaining at the pit (34:40 on the video) is really amzing . Even more that the driver didn't had the oportunity to save gas with draft or anything at his favor in this way , it seems he had to maintain a fast pace during this first part of the race.... Like Z says , no way.

He was right behind another guy for 4 laps straight. That, coupled with 1: the Lexus' strong straight line speed to afford fuel saving without losing much time and 2: its inherent fuel economy, I can see this happen. I've jumped more than a few people in my own Lexus 'cause of this :p
Man I respect Z28- he's really fast and respectful as a driver but I dunno, maybe it's just me but his commentary is... aeugh?

My FIA race attempt did the nations cup in my Porsche at Brands hatch
In an pretty much all S rated lobby, I think only 5 tops were A+(including me)
I got out late for qualifying cos I was busy elsewhere. I did two laps on my first run and did a 1.24.387 I think
I was 2nd so thought not bad I’ll get some new tyres go for one more
Unfortunately due to the late star lt didn’t manage to set a time but I though oh well should be at least top 5 then
End of qualy I was 10th, top time was a 1:24 dead
First corner was behind V cristano I think his name is also in a Porsche he got an appualing start somehow guess he short shifted too early to save file
He defended I went to the outside and on the exit he cleared me but some other guy just took me off I was already on the outside kerb leaving room

So I was last (19) managed to get back to the top 10 I was doing leaders pace but way down the field
Managed fuel got a good pitstop was p10 still
Caught an nsx for 9th he went off at the 2nd of the fast rights so I was fully alongside him by the next one and he turned across it was relatively slow contact cos we were both going slow to make sure we both go round the corner
Then he made a clumsy spin on the outside of that corner on the grass

I thought nothing of it went into Druids (turn 2) and got punted into narina by him as in he tried to take turn 2 flat aha

Ended up P10 in the end not bad but wish I’d qualified properly cos was on leaders pace for sure gap to front stayed the same when I was coming through and the fuel seemed similar

Onto the next one!

More fia points are awarded for finishing top3 in an A S lobby than 8th or lower in an A+ S lobby #facepalm
I suggest moving to DR.A and start winning those races/more points.

What's unfair about the FIA events?

Is it the points? They're based on your finishing position and the strength of lobby. The higher you finish and the better the other drivers are, the more points you get.
Is it the required start times and one-shot rules? That's been the same since October, so August seems an odd time to complain about it.
Is it the qualifying session? Most drivers don't seem to get that their best chance of a good time is to make space, not fight for position the whole way, but that's not exactly unfair. My Nations Cup race last night was exceptionally rare in that everyone got it - moving out of the way on warm-up and cool-down laps - and nobody had any penalties at the end from anything except the track limits at Dingle Dell.

That's the only differences I can think of between FIA and regular "Daily" races.

This report was actually very interesting! I read it completely! (may I suggest you start using comas? It is exhausting to read, but fun anyways)

Hello Ivann. Well, yes, obviously that is the workaround :D however it does not feel right to do it, as it is much harder to achieve 8th in an A+ S lobby than top3 in an A S lobby. Not to mention how easy it is to buy the game and 3 days later be in that A S lobby whereas achieving and maintaining A+ S is again much harder work.

I have to disagree with that, I've been a player since Day 1 and I have never even come close to A or A+ in DR let alone get there within 3 days.

SR however can be done within hours.

One day perhaps...

Ended up with 6 seconds of penalties at Gardens, not one from the chicanes. All of them were from the S’s in the middle of the lap, tire induced understeer gave me such a terrible entry I had to touch the dirt just to make the corner. Ugh. Cost me 2 places in an already uncompetitive race. 13th for 676 points, a great start. I’m realizing I really don’t like that track, I never have any speed there.

Almost as good as my start in Nations. I don’t see how not being able to join a later time slot after being disconnected before even making a lap in qualifying makes sense.

Potentially more suited to the memes thread, but its really relevant to FIA too so...

ALL HAIL THE VOLKWAGEN BEETLE
I'm not sorry.
Yes, all hail the Volkswagen Beetle!

I refuse to accept that a ****ing beetle is the best car of that category. I can't accept it, it looks ridiculous and it is an insult to all other racing cars IMO. I actually refuse to even drive it. It shouldn't be in the game.

...now.... if tomorrow they give it a 1% less in weight or more in power... no, sorry, not even then... I think... maybe... perhaps... I could think about it... I use to think the same about the Meganes... well, why not... just one lap... or maybe 2

*except on any track with long straights like Le Mans, Monza, St Croix, Blue Moon or Tokyo Expressway :)

Yeah, the real secret is it absolutely sucks outside of Brands Hatch

I don't know about that, despite it being an ugly fish the Beetle has been doing well for me round Interlagos this week with a few second
places.
