For the record I think the new interlagos track limits are better than the old ones. The old ones did allow 4 wheels past the white lines at parts. Ridiculously so at one particular point. And they're not the same at every track or have they fixed that too?

The issue I had is the changing of track limits without much warning. I'm assuming the track limits were fine in race "practice mode" which I skipped in favour of lobbys. The lobby I practiced in must've had the older/weaker track limits and it definitely came as a surprise come quali.

From the tracks I’ve driven so far it does seem they’ve fixed it to be consistently 2 wheels on track at all tracks. But can’t say for sure if it works everywhere, Le Mans is usually a lot stricter so expect it to be different there.

@ZokyCRO congrats to both victorys man!

@Lord Protector what happened in Manufacturers? Youre were holding on pretty well in zokys race right behind him

@Lost Sheltie I was in that race also and needed to overtake you by outbraking in lap 15. Maybe I was a tiny bit to unpatient, but I saw that you were really struggling in end of lap 14 with your worn tires, so I had to pass as quick as possible to save something from that race

Lost my braking point and then drove with a bunch of pigs :D

In both qualifyings I stupidly didn't pit because the sector times were always better than from last lap, and then it was to late.

Only to be sure about fuel:

100%= 100 liters = 100 kg car weight

and its on every car the same, right?

Here's my Manufacturer race from yesterday:

Had a great battle with the Aussie in front :D despite only scoring second, I'm happy with that race since it was perfect and I don't think I could've done any better. I could've drove a bit more conservatively and not get those penalties, but now that I look at it I'd rather have penalties for overdriving than have regrets that I didn't do my best :)

Nations Cup:

This one was really fun! Qualified second once more. I've battled this guy many times now, so I know just how capable of a driver he is. Keeping up with him is a really big challenge, since the aero wake of these Gr. 1 machines is incredible.

Again, like the Manu Cup, I was really overdriving the car, slowly racking up my penalties. And then an opportunity presents itself: he has made a mistake. I am quick to take that opportunity and pass him as soon as I can. Immediately my aero wake affected him, running wide at T3. "Should I keep him in my aero wake and disturb him, or should I go even faster than what I'm capable of to give myself time to serve the penalty?", I asked myself as the seconds go by. "That's a no brainer. Go faster."

The gap is increasing... 1 second, 2 seconds... but my penalties are as well. This is hard, I probably can't do it. As the final laps rolled in, he started catching up to me. I can't do it, he's faster than me. I already knew this- he kept outqualifying me before, why did I think I had a chance?

It was the final lap, I've given up. He deserves the win, he fought for it hard. But then as I look to the gaps, I realized that I wasn't the only one pushing beyond my limits.
2 seconds, 5 seconds, 6 seconds, 9 seconds...
I couldn't believe my eyes.
"Did, did I just win?"

It same on every car yeah. However, 1 litre of petrol (gas) isn't worth of 1kg. It's roughly 0.77kg per 1 litre.

So 100 litres should weigh 77kg.

absolute shambles from me last night

qualified 7th in the Manufacturers and was running as high as 4th at one point til I got bumped by the car behind at the hairpin and they took the place. few laps later i got a good run into T1 on 4th, totally messed up the braking and span off, messed up recovering the spin and then crashed in T2 to drop to the back. recovered a bit, was attempting to overcut a massive bunch of cars before running wide at T3 on my inlap and then getting hit by someone coming out of the double left hander and messed up the following corner. ended up 20th after the stops, brilliant. ended up recovering to about 17th, set the fastest lap along the way, but ran out of fuel on the final straight and finished 19th. 44 points. useless.

qualified 3rd in the Nations, was going ok for all of about 5 seconds until 2nd place decided to put me in the wall, messed up T1 as a result and dropped to around 14th. gained a couple of places over the rest of the lap, before being pushed wide in T4 on lap 2 which ended up spinning me and i was 20th. had a few battles along the way, tried a no stop that didn't really work due to the tyres dying badly, murdered some guy in T1 when i got distracted by three cars battling down the straight and missed my braking spot, and got a million penalties because running slightly wide on a corner and gaining no advantage is obviously worth a penalty. finished 13th i think, 242 points. and i forgot to actually save my recording of the race, so i had to make do with the replay for my video. useless.

summary: waste of an evening

Manufacturer - Blue Bay Infield A - Viper Gr. 3

Qualified into 14th. I can do better, right? lol nope.
First lap, The Big One happens, and sadly I get slammed and spin out into last place. I feel really bad for the person who slammed me, as they got slammed by someone else and didn't get ghosted in time for me to avoid them. Not their fault. Ok, this is still lap 1, I can try to at least get 18th or something.
Lap 2...3? I get punted at turn 1. CraaaaaAAaaAAaaAAaaaap. Now I have even more ground to make up.
21 lap-story-short, I managed to somehow recover from 20th and finish in 12th place for 600-something points.
I'm not mad; **** happens. It's just up to us to try to get back up and make the best of it.
Also, shoutout to @Winnie847 for the third place finish! Also, hello @Pfei and someone else who goes on here that I saw in the race! :gtpflag:
And happy birthday to that one player who told us it was their birthday!

We were together again. I qualified 8th and finished 5th for 1223 points, my first 1000+ FIA race. What a mess on the first lap. Everyone got through turn one fine. I got tapped going into turn 2 and that's what started everything. In fact I was bounced off the wall and Grosean'ed into the racing line and that made everything worse. I think I fell down to 16th there. Pitted late end of lap 12 and had nice fresh tires till the end. Was 6th most of the race right behind 5th until I was able to force an error near the end of the race. My first non-brain-fart race where everything just came together. And not a single penalty.

Once again it was great to meet some GTP members in-game and an honor to race with you. (I don't remember the name of the other guy from GTP in our lobby, but hey guy, speak up if you're reading this!)

Yesterday was a mixed bag for me, which seems to be the way it goes for FIA races. I had never raced at Blue Moon Infield A before, only practiced the track once when it first came out. I'm not sure why but I wasn't in love with it back then...that has changed. Spent some time practicing and started to feel the flow of the track. I was able to come within 1s of the top 5 times so I figured that would be good enough to race. Entered the first time slot, qualified 7th I think. Standing start caught a few by surprise, and I gained a spot, but then lost a few spots going into T1 with all the aggressive bombers....it wasn't terrible though, minor contacts only. At this point I was in P9 or P10, but heading into T2 somebody with "local" in their name late-brakes and pushes a car wide right in front of me, he hits the guy on the outside of him, I rear-end the guy who already got punted.....the whole pack slows down but I manage to push through and maintain position while I hear the pile-up behind me get worse. I think that first incident right in front of me is what eventually led to the carnage that @Mistah_MCA and @Pfei were involved in. Check the replay from mine and "localxxx" perspective, it might have been a chain reaction of epic proportions. Several people got taken out there, it was just luck that I made it through. The rest of the race was not as eventful, I was stuck behind mecty for quite awhile and if it wasn't for that I might have had a chance to catch the guy in P2 before the finish, as my pace was faster. But mecty was NOT trying to let me pass despite him slowing the pace and causing us to lose the leaders. Heck, I even "saved" mecty from spinning out once....he was losing control right in front of me and right before he ghosted I tapped him back into the racing line. He lost the position but he could have crashed completely and didn't. Some guys just seem to have a harder time with tire wear than others. 3rd place for 1385 points isn't bad, and I'm hanging on to 5th for Mitsubishi and 102nd in the region for Manufacturer's. I gotta be happy with that. Also congrats to you @Pfei for your 5th place finish!

Nations, ugh, another story. For some reason I get matched up in a top split lobby with guys like Deafsun, Hellzfire, Windfire, Wardez, Ant, McQueen, TG Raikonnen, Purecry, Doogy....the list goes on....like what? I'm ranked 20th when the lobby first opens, so I know my chances are slim. For reference, the winner of this race got something like 2550 points, and even if you placed 12th I think it was still 1000 points.....crazy. So needless to say my qualy was relatively poor at 17th. To help, I was on the receiving end of the ultimate divebomb on lap 1, T1, by the guy who started 19th. Seems like I'm often getting booted off track or politely squeezed off the line by guys with "AMS" in their name, but this was the first time I'd encountered this guy...._daussa. After that, I made a terrible decision to re-enter the track at a bad time and ran into another guy which landed me in last place (sorry leathaface, my bad, wish I could take it back). From that point forward I knew my race was done, so I figured as long as I can beat the guy who divebombed me that would be OK. Ended up passing him on lap3 when he overshot the final turn and ended up in the grass struggling to get out. The rest of the race was uneventful, I finished 19th and the bomber who ruined several people's races finished last. Terrible performance on my part once again. As much as I like getting matched up with really high level drivers, I wish the lobby was more on my level instead of racing against guys who have max DR, which is over 30,000 DR higher than me. Oh well, at least I've made a few appearances on these guys' streams, holding it down in the back of the pack!

Looking forward to Wednesday!

I didn't have a chance of win, few mistakes, penada... Points were slim too.

Because of the contact in first corner between you, Viper and GT-R I've got a 10 sec penalty for nothing and you have got only 5. I was in frond of you on Hyundai Genesis (Evolist) and I felt a slight push from behind and got that 10 sec penalty lol.
I had a good pace, but instead of overtaking people on strait I was trying to serve this stupid penalty. Managed to serve only 4 seconds this way. I have finished 3th, in 7 seconds behind 1 place, serving another 6 seconds before the finish line.
Please be patience and carefull on 1 corner people. You are not alone and you can ruin someones race for nothing. For example yesterday on Manu race Tidgney have got pole, was 2nd in first corner and Benson killed him and his own race with slight inaccurate move.

Time for Nations. Honestly not that exciting after the first few laps. Credit to @Tidgney because I saw him use TC 1 during his livestream so I did the same. It actually slowed me down a touch but it made some of the last corners much less stressful.

Both my Manufacturers and Nations Races yesterday with commentary on. Enjoy!
Manufacturers was 2390 points for first and Nations with 2179.

Manufacturers featuring: gtr3123, Z28, Gumball, 5zigen and others

Nations featuring only gtr3123 and Z28 and others, it was slot 5 so everyone was basically done.

@Winnie847 @Pfei @Mistah_MCA

It was me that greeted about GTPlanet before the Manufacturers Race. I don't post too much but I always see the post race reports here, and I recognized the name of you guys. :gtpflag:

Sad news. It was also me that punted @Pfei at the infield entry esses, and for that I deeply apologize. I saw you at my 2 o'clock, I thought that I anticipated enough your entrance to the corner to avoid touching your rear side panel, but I clearly miscalculated. I know how frustrating it is to have a Race compromised (or ruined) because of someone else fault or dirtiness. I gave my position to you as soon as I saw you at my mirror.

About the race, I got a 2 sec penalty because of the incident (which IMO, if the touch is deliberate is a small penalty, should be more to punish punters) During the race 2 cars crashed each other through the esses aprox 1.5 sec in front, and spun in front of me. I tried to avoid them but a Viper touched my side door with his front before ghosting. I got through without crashing but Surprise! 5 sec penalty. 9th at the end, starting form 13th. My tires were very compromised at the end of the stints, I don't know if it is because of the controller and others are using wheels, but I felt like a sitting duck.

Seemed like I was in the only Nations race in top split EMEA yesterday that had strategic variation, and considering how much some people gained from it I was surprised to not see it in later races among those starting nearer the back.

mmm if I could stop making dumb errors while there's the possibility of a win, that'd be great

Don't know what errors have you done, but stay in line, buddy, I'm the champion at stupid errors ! :)
For example, yesterday at the Manufacturer race , I did a good qualifying time, I was third in the grid, but when the race started I was paying attention at that annoying stupid plane and forgot to hit the brake pedal, so I went all the way back in the grid for false start ! :)
Damn plane, always annoying at this track, I don't know why but...
And , hey, have you noticed that you are always faster than his shadow on the straight line ? What a hell, at 250 km/h, is that a hover ? I guess it's just fkin around above the track only to annoy people ! Or just me... :p
Hahaha, I NEED THAT FKIN PLANE REMOOOOOVE ! :D

No worries. The tap was a racing incident. What started the whole catastrophe was just following that. I hit the wall and was slowly coming back on track and the guy in front of me unghosted and tapped me slightly. That sent me Groseaning right into where everyone was taking a tighter line trying to avoid us.

Hey bud, sorry you had a bad race but it was great to meet you on the track and I hope to see you again sometime soon. Now that I see your PSN I think I've seen you in some races before. Good luck in the future and don't worry about the bad race, it happens to all of us. Right after my 3rd place at Manufacturer's I did TERRIBLE at Nations and was embarrassed by some of the fastest guys in the game. Just a nice reality check for me, as soon as I start to think I'm getting kinda fast.

It's all good, though. Personally, I try not to get salty about things like this (for personal reasons). I saved the replay of the Manufacturer race so I can upload the chaos from my perspective, if you all would like to see that (plus a bonus clip of me turning into an American Football and getting punted).
Tire wear was mixed for me. By pit lap, I had some understeer but it didn't feel as bad as I thought. Also had to be careful and not put too much power in the latter sector to avoid spinning out. I saw someone else in the Viper (same car as me) spin out from that, and that was near pit lap, I think.

I went down 11 places in Regional (114 > 125) but there's still a ton of races to go, so I'm not worried.
Which sucks a bit because I'll be missing Saturday's race, but hey, I might be able to see a 250 GTO and the Bugatti Vision GT in person, so I'll take that. ;)

The TS030 is a good car for anyone on the fence, reasonably easy to drive in the corners and an easy no-stopper (even with my automatic transmission I ran fuel map 1 and had 2 laps to spare at the end) Ran 20.6 in practice with it, I think I ran 21.6 in qualifying.
You use automatic transmission?

Glad to talk to you there guys :gtpflag:. I know the feeling of racing against the aliens, It happened to me this season at Kyoto Yamagiwa with a lobby of A+, top 10 contenders like FT_Solid and others . I don't race online too much, probably will stay only for the FIA Championships. My goals are to race good and clean races, keep my A/S rating and stay in the top 200, so bad races only increase my motivation for a better result next round. See ya soon too!!

I dont deal penalties.
And I watched the replay today.
You may not believe it but driver who caused that triple collision was the GT-R on the outside,
who steered left on Viper instead of following the brown Lexus.

Same happened to me in the Asian region, except I worked my DR from mid 30k to high 50k before the start of the final season, got matched with a bunch of aliens including Nik, 2738 for first, door number 15, qualified 11th, accidentally pitted someone in the esses first lap and got 5 seconds, race over at that point, finished 17th, I'm seriously considering tanking my DR for the rest of the season.

I want to be popular too.
All tho, my first Nations race was a nightmare. Bad Qualy sentenced a chain of crashes and mistakes the whole race.
I need to recover from this stuff.
Well at the end, i learned that GR1 is the worst class at GTS by far.

The good news is that i had my revenge. But with poor points. Nice race with @Deafsun @hellZfirE @Lester and @IOF
Hope u guys enjoy with crappy commentary ❤️

Hey McQueen, I'm sorry for the racing on my part. I made a lot of mistakes and I do take the blame.

I thought of giving you the position back after I crashed into you, however I knew that giving you back the position would lose us both time, as my tires were better, so it didn't make much sense to penalise us both other than just take the penalty myself. But it was all on me.

I got really frustrated being stuck behind (and being pushed off track -.-) drivers that didn't change tires and it's shown on my driving, I need to get over it and should've kept it together.

You caught the other guy dive bombing me in T1 lap1 in your video while you’re looking behind at the bottom of the S. Pushed me right off track and things didn’t get much better after that. Raced most of it alone but I got to finish ahead of the bomber at least. I’m glad there’s video evidence circulating out there, ha.
