So x13 tyre wear. Absolutely completely useless

Medium tyres are just pointless for the race when it's that high. All that multiplier does is make the MR cars even less competitive in race trim. Almost getting to Gr4 levels of inbalance on the tyre wear.
They should just make the races longer and keeping the fuel and tire wear real, so the soft and super soft tires actually make sense. And let us set initial fuel for races...

Still funny that I am the one who’s crying but the YouTubers get support from all sides when the penalty system ****s them lmao

Edit: btw, what kind of mentality is that? “I should be happy I only lost one arm, could’ve lost both.” With this somebody should ever complain about anything

Set up a youtube channel then. No doubt you'll gain followers ready to excuse your every action and commiserate with you when things don't go to your plan.

So if you want to have a whinge, go for it, but don't be sad when people see the humourous side.

And, If you do ever lose an arm playing GT Sport please let me know.

Oh man, I wonder where that video was uploaded to...
Don't know where driving completely straight at the start is an action that needs to be excused but whatever . You seem like a very enjoyable fellow

We had a good really short battle

This race was catastrophic. I got hit and I got span by the same guy, and I got 10 sec of penalties for small touches. The penalty system is a joke.
Ive seen you have 11-12sec penalties, didnt wanna fight.
So now when you have 10+sec penalties, it doesnt grow automatically like it used to?

What a surprise of a manufacturer race. After blue screening out of the last nations I decided to try the manufacturers. So with zero practice and signing with Lexus with 2min left to get into the room I join a strong >2500 point room.
I didnt have much hope since I've only done 1 race at red bull ring but gave it a go. Qualified horrible as expected at 18th. It was a VERY clean race as far as contact which was great. I managed to work my way up to 10th battling with @praiano63 most of the race as we worked up the field.
Here's most of the race and you can see some clean driving by the group.

I think the fuel is a step in the right direction, I agree setting initial fuel for race and especially qualifying would be a good idea. Tyre wear needs to be set to around x5 as that seems to be the most balanced between the compounds. Super softs shouldn't be allowed though as they've given them the same wear rate as the Softs yet are 1 second a lap quicker, completely unbalanced so it's basically just a driving aid for infinite grip

looking at the standings, is there a UK boycott that I've missed? the top places are riddled by the french!!

Internet connection died while recording. I'll try it again tonight and repost.
I'm not sure if it was the theat of high mechanical damage but I agree great and respectful racing.

Tire wear should not play a big role if the tires grip/life is balanced in the first place but yeah, 5x max that we can agree on.

We all decided we'd rather have nails drilled into our eyes than race a) the Mini and b) at Tsukuba. Now it's off season as well people won't be as committed. Also noticing some guys who were good at the Test Seasons, then had a nightmare Official Season are starting to come good again. Perfect timing on their part

Would that have anything to do with CSA by any chance?
And will they turn it off again next year for the full FIA season? I think they will.

I don't think CSA is a huge issue, they might have nerfed it in an update for all we know though because barely any of the top guys use it now and none of us venture into the Dailies unless we absolutely have to. I think people are more in need of a break since it's been pretty full on since mid-June and the last month people were pouring thousands of miles into FIA.

It will certainly be banned for any Official Season so no need to worry too much.

The reason I didn't play on Wednesday was that I refuse to race set-up races... I have limited time as it is, I like races which are equal. Red bull was a cut fest first corner so decided I'd just have a break for a change (Was also late home from work but could have done manufacturers potentially but no thanks).

I only did the manu race last night, decided to go with Team Corvette because 'Murica. Qualified well in 3rd behind 2 GTRs. At T1, I get hit from behind, no surprise there, which pushed up a little into the guy in first. I go down to probably 8th or 9th from being pushed a little wide there. At turn 3, I get blasted by pretty much half the field behind me since the room was split between a SS driver, a A+S driver, a few BS, and a lot of DS which I'm not even sure how that happened. Anyways, I get hit hard and it wipes out my front suspension and aero. I'm down in like 17th. I decide to push anyways since I know I can out pace alot of the people I was around at the time. I make it up to 6th by lap 8 with a bad vibration and no aero out front. Pit for mediums and a splash of fuel, which I probably didn't really need. Passed a few more people after the pits to finish 6th, which all things considered, I'm ok with. Hopefully people will learn about the heavy damage and the racing will become cleaner, but who knows at this point.

Is it not possible to start races when your the only player in a lobby? (Eg race pace practice runs?)

Well what a manufacturer race last night!!

I signed for Aston and Got put in a pretty high lobby, mostly A+ for 2.5k points and I was ranked 19th. I qualified 5th I was pretty happy with considering the room. Thought this was my chance to score my first 2k + score.

Unfortunately not meant to be, got punted at T1, T2 and finally pushed off at T3 XD!! I was now in last several seconds behind the next car with front aero and rear suspension damage and seven seconds of penalties I think 👍.

So only thing to do was go no stop! Slowly worked my way back up as people made mistakes served penalties, up to 5th I think at one point. By lap 10 grip had gone couldn’t fight so tried to let people past as easily as possible without losing time and draining the penalties where I could.

Managed to finish without getting any more penalties and came home 10th, given the situation I was in lap 1 although disappointed not to score more I’m happy with.

The last two laps of a no stop felt like I was actually down to the rims, so much work to keep it on track!!!
