Everyone's taking advantage of it in practice lobbies. But that maintenance coming in a few hours, maybe it could be a hotfix for this, since people from PoDi have been directly tagged in a tweet.

Interesting, I got the Maintenance Notice when I signed in today but didn't actually looks at the date and time, I just naturally assumed it was for Wednesday as it normally is.

Weird that they'd fix it now since it's been there since they released the track. Better late than never I guess, but then I'd have to relearn the line for T1 on race day!

Is everyone just using the Porsche for the Nations race? I saw Calster driving the Lambo in kie's lobby, but he is a bit of a freak with that car :)
Any other cars worth looking at? I haven't had any time to practice due to work stuff, so will just have to jump in tomorrow and give it a try.

I'm using the Atenza. Set an initial time in of 29.3xx. Way more in it, but I'll wait until the race tonight.

Will be interesting to see who will run the Audi and try survive the tyre wear. I know what I'm gonna run but whether that's the right car to run or not will remain to be seen!!

I'm going to drive the Supra for the Nations race. Got into the Top 10 Stars early on before Akagi smashed my FP time of 1:27.7 with a 1:26 in a GT-R.

I'm not going to cry about it, but:

Got escorted off the road by I believe the 7th place R8. That whole group of cars were tip-toing on their tyres and mine were really good(RM). I was having a proper scrap with the 11th placed 911 and leaders were pitting from around Lap 4. Lap 7 came around and I was going around the outside of the R8. It lost grip and slightly tapped me and I went onto the gravel. Not only on the gravel, I then went into a full on spin! Took so long to get going, it was like I had to restart the engine. As those ahead pit, I went one more lap around.

Pitting Lap 8, I was able to start pushing. Some other cars were pitting towards the end which helped me jump some spots. No doubt I would have been there around 7th had I not had the incident. Qualified with a 32.xxx on RH and did continued to do a race run. Got to Lap 7 at end of session.

Funny thing was, I looked for the "#1" while the cars were being introduced. There's my car, on screen, wearing it.

oh no lol, my secret weapon exposed so soon?
Which one, my car or Akagi's car before presumably switching to a Mustang?

Because you know, he will not drive that car until he did a Yuru Camp livery on that (his 4C is an exception as that was wearing a specially commissioned Blanc livery by LuFa_peregrine).

Had a great race for Nations, ended up 4th after being as high as 2nd and down to 6th at different stages. I could have had a better result had my driving been tidier I feel, last minute car change didn't help but it was down to me at the end of the day.

Manufacturers was crazy. Starting 4th in the Ferrari, I got punted off by a lagger and dropped a few places, had my kitten attempting to go toilet in the lego box beside me while drivers fell off ahead of me. I bounced between 5th and 7th with some battles against Toyota's. Was a race that was all over the place and a stupid amount of fun in the end.

Manu Race start below. Weird stuff begins lap 3.

I don't know but... if I had to guess, it would be that PD were trying to maintain the 'exclusive' feel of qualifying for a superstars race, and keeping the cutoff at 24 might have diluted this in the smaller regions, especially ours since we're just 2 countries.

Revisiting this... That was a pretty bizarre first race tonight. Well done!

I was 14th heading into this round but unfortunately 3 drivers below me all placed well tonight, so I will probably just miss out on the top 16 race for this season.

I'm now restarting the game before every FIA race to avoid this issue. Pretty farcical, but it's worked.
Yeah. Did the same and I'm not just sitting in the Practice countdown either.

just like every race with wear, people just race too hard. Conserve tyres, so you have something to fight with later.

Felt good to get by that TT half a ;ap earlier, but it let that Vantage skip away.

CLose finish, but I've had closer.

Why is the superstars race limited to S rank drivers again? It made sense back in official season when the rank requirement made the first 12 rounds mean something, but now we're in an exhibition, and I'm sure it's in PD's best interests to have all of the best points scorers from this season taking part, regardless of rank. It won't affect me as I'm qualified either way, but that's not a nice bombshell to drop on the A+ drivers who only just returned to the game.

Qualified, finished 3rd at Austria in a GT-R. Stayed out an extra lap on mediums, probably should have pitted at the same time as the other two leaders and stuck with mediums, I got caught in traffic on my out lap and ****ed it. That said, 911 points seems to be my record in an FIA race, so I suppose that's something.

8 different cars in the top 8 in qualifying and final results btw. An AMG won.

I am giving up on FIA and daily races for a while. I will complete my abysmal season with the final race this evening and then I will focus on just "getting gud" as some people put it. My last race and SR was ruined in the dailies by a really bad actor. I simply need to get better to at least try and avoid a lot of these situations in the future.

Keith.

Anyone try a no stop on mediums for Nations? I couldn't get all 15 laps in last night but after 10 I looked okay. I'll have an hour before my race tonight to try it but it be nice to know how it worked.

really depends on the car but i'd say it's on the risky side.

Only doing the Nations tonight as I have had no practice and the Corvette Gr.4 has terrible tyre wear.

Only managed to qualify in 16th (chose the Jaaaaaggggg because no real reason), in a strong room for me (I was rank 19). Start was pretty peaceful, I was just over a second ahead of the guys ahead and had a second or so to the guys behind me. Managed to pick up a few places just by people crashing out ahead of me so was in 10th by the time of the pit stops.

Came out in 11th, couple of guys tried the no stop strategy. Fun really started on lap 10 when I caught up to one of the non-stop guys, and then it became the usual task of trying to avoid the dive bombs. Had to take some avoiding action when a guy in front picked up a penalty and weaved a bit into the 2nd corner, but apart from that was pretty relaxed. Managed to get 9th and 1100 odd points so was fun. I think the Lexus looks strong on tyre wear so might be worth a look.

Video is probably only worth watch from lap 10 and has a quick scan of peoples tyres at the end :)

WOw, really telling with those RS tyres. Glad I didn't choose them at all.

I started in 4th on RMs for Nations, with aim of running to the end of lap 9 before switching to softs.

By lap 6 I was getting harassed a bit, and I was keen to avoid the penalties I often got in practice for slightly running wide so I was too cautious and ended up in 7th. Then got a penalty anyway, and overshot on worn tyres into the gravel at the downhill right-hand corner. The lap before I pitted the leaders emerged from their stops right in front of me. Massive fail all round.

I exited my pit in 10th, finished 7th (same as the number on my door). A pretty awful race but I gained about 500 DR so I'll take that.

Am I right that I can't participate in the last round at all? Or is it only one of the 3 time slots that is for 'Superstars'?

Aside from my 3rd place finish in the Manufactures (in the WRX!! WOW) I had a complete shocker last night.

You were in almost all of my races last night, I was really happy with the pace of the Lexus in the Nations, but the driving behaviour (especially when dealing with differring strategies) was absolutely woeful! I did all 3 Nations races and was in the top 5 in qually each time.

The general level of sportmanship in the races last night was terrible. So many rammers and generally selfish racing. Second corner I brake as the guy in front of me has braked and I get swamped by people thinking it's still a qually lap and ram me off.

05XR8 I believe I overtook you late in the race as I'd run RM to the 10th lap and swapped to RS's and had a better end to the race with fresh rubber. The overtake I think was into the second last corner and I went up the inside. I recall seeing the #1 on your car.
