Manufacturers race was scary, everyone around me acted sketchy like they were lagging yet all showed a good internet connection. Got a few penalties for lag-like contact from other players. I wonder if I looked sketchy to them?
 
I didnt realize daylight savings messed with the FIA time slots. I was looking forward to doing manufacturers since in the summer I can only do the 5pm CT slot. Now that time is the nations race. Oh well, this is my 3rd consecutive race that ended up with me getting punted into last place on the last lap. Its getting tiring. GT "sport" might be collecting dust this summer.
 
Next Nations race looks like the X-Bow is back on the menu. However, I'm hooked up in the Supra. After two laps,1.6 seconds from the Top 10. More in it.
 
In the first round of the 2019 Exhibition Series Season 2, I had finished third in both of the Manufacturers and Nations Cup races. This means I had two podiums in the same day.

 
Did my very first FIA races (1 Nation 1 Manufacturer), expected it to be better racing than the dailys.

Boy was I wrong.

As of now I usually do pretty decent in the dailys, especially Race A. I expected to be in the lower end of the field in the FIA Races and so first race, Nations Cup, started P18 (GR.2 is far and away a weak point for me) Punted on lap 2, finished 16th, guy apologized it was all good.

Second race, Manufacturers same starting spot, ahead of the same guy ironically too. Made up 1 place on an NSX at the hairpin, lifes good I can make some ground.

Then i brake early for the chicane because of traffic, and the NSX decides its my day of doom. 5 second penalty plus 1.5 more for riding the wall afterward made it to 16th again at the end and the guy blamed me for "losing control of my car."

I doubt my car controls the problem, I put him atleast 7-8 seconds into my rearview by the time it was said and done. If I can get out of the mess that is the back pack I think I can make something happen.

Next time I will practice more for sure, I only really put laps in today and qualifying means alot when the tail of the fields to desperate to keep out of each others bumpers.

Welp if that's the case I'm still with Hyundai for this season (since we can't change), but I'm curious to see if they're actually going to have 5 player teams due to it being 5 regions now or if they're working out a way to make it a 3 player team
 
I'm seriously demotivated - with SR of 45 it will take me forever to get back to 99, unless I sacrifice my DR which in turn will take away any chance of earning enough points for my goal (top 10 for my manufacturer).

I really wanted to be in a good position for the Autopolis race as I love the track, but that means racing as much and as soon as possible. Risking Daily C at Tokyo could mean a total DR reset :(

This is not why I play.

If you are good enough to hope for a top10 of a manufacturer, so surely an advanced A or A+ player, how come your SR got that low? Run of bad luck?

You have no races under your belt so you will be in hodgepodge rooms for a few races. I suggest doing a few Dailies to get up to SR 99 and get out of the DR E area. It will also help you to get used to the mechanics before you jump in to the FIA.

Keeping SR above 95 is imperative for good points. DR wise from B on up will net you some nice competitive lobbies.

Actually, top split SR is 91 and above. Tested.

With qualifying didn't they change it so you can finish the lap you're on even if the timer shows zero? I started my last quali lap on Tokyo with 10 seconds to spare, and the game took over once it hits zero. Doubt I would improve much, but still surprised me.

Good race with Nations Cup going from 4th to 2nd. Tokyo wasn't my strongest track and quali is always a shambles with the lack of space. Managed to get from 10th to 6th though so I'm happy.

Just noticed that Manufacturers Cup is only exhibition as well. That would explain the lack of top drivers in the race :lol: Bit weird that it doesn't start simultaneously this year.
 
11th to 3rd. Good race for me tonight. Tried to finish a livery before entering manufacturers and lost track of time lol.. o'well.
 
FIA's back! Nations I struggled a bit on the qualy, couldnt hook up a lap, but still got a decent starting place with my terrible laptime. Went for the hard tyres on the fronts and I think it wouldve worked if the chicane hadnt killed me. Result was ok in the end.




For Manu, much better. Not in qualy tho, my Jag was capable of low 38s but still managed a 2nd place. For the race, tried to be as cautious as possible in the chicane, almost cost me in the end.

 
Did another manufacture race because i wasn't satisfied, went from 18th to 13th until I was letting a car I knew was faster than me by and the gods at PD decided they should bless me with a 5 second penalty and nothing for him. I thought he was on newer tires but he wasnt so it would have been better to fight him.

Dropped from 40k to 37k DR, luckily my SR hasnt dropped. Defenitly need more practice than day of.

One race at Tokyo.

Actually I'm not that good, but top 10 for some manufacturers can be achieved by mere mortals.

It would be difficult for me but possible. That's all out the window because the first race tanked my ratings, despite me running as cleanly as I could.
 
Boy that was ugly, first slot in manu qualified 5th made it to second lap before someone decided to pit me right before the downhill ramp towards the hairpin, i was basically a passenger as two cars pushed me down the hill until I could get loose, immediately headed for the pit as a last ditch effort and threw on the mediums, I managed to recover from 14th to 7th with 9 lap old tires.

Tried a round of nations, GR2 is just not for me, Just not a fan, finished dead last honestly it was embarrassing.

Got disconnected from the second time slot of manufacturers, honestly every FIA race tonight had latency issues, everyone with green bars jumping around and even at one point on the first race the entire room went 1 bar which was ridiculous.

Last round of manu’s yieleded a better result, qualified third and finished second, I picked up a couple of penalties that kept me off the win, but it was better than my first attempt at that race.

Lmfao, Tried my first FIA race today... Went in an A:SR and left being a D:SR trying to stay away from all the carnage! Started 4th and in Turn 1 I held back to let the scum sort themselves out but they took out the top 3 and the top 3 turned out to be dirtier than everyone else!
I was punted into the wall at every turn and guys would sideswipe me on every pass... My car eas sideways more than it was straight! I would catch back up and get wiped out at every pass, they would just blatantly veer across the track to pin me against the wall. This is absolute trash.

You guys can have this garbage!Iwill never go near this pathetic **** again. I watched the Paris event and realized that even the "best" players onthis gAmee are dirty pathetic pieces of ****. Anyone that watched that garbage and thought it was good racing is the same dirty piece of **** that thrives in this horrible excuse of a "sim" game.

Before idiots say I was the cause of anything to drop that far... I have the replay and have already sent it in to PD (not that they give a ****about it). I caused two incidents but that was long after the ******** that put me to the back and I realized this race was for teaching others to **** off.

Assholes were trying so hard to take people out thry were ghosting when trying to sideswipe.

This game is done, the children have taken over.

Went back to daily's and had two seconds and a first, was blissful compared to the bastards in FIA. If anyone from FiA actually cared to watch this **** they would quickly realize they need to get their name as far from this trash as possible! Did anyone see that garbage they called racing at the Paris event? Thats your best? Lmao... What a sorry group

Disaster for me, I got back home from dinner in time for second manu slot, was stuck in the midpack and ended up playing bumper cars, got a whole bunch of penalties, I couldn't help myself and tried some dodgy overtakes, also stuffed up the chicane on my own a couple of times, SR dropped to 61, did the 3rd slot for both nations and manu in low rooms ended up with 500 ish points for both. Throwaway round for me. Only positive is I didn't disconnect and got SR back to 99.

Stuck with Aston but I doubt I have the skills to use the FF Gr4 PUG to join the train lol.
 
So got booted out the first time slot, and drove like a bit of a mug in the second. Even in this final race my driving wasn't exactly up to par, I was so lucky not to kill Snake on the first lap. Pit strategy didn't go as well as I would've liked either. The EU Mercedes spot sure looks a lot more difficult to grab this season...

Well that was unexpected :lol: Wonder if Citroën is going to call me :p

Number 1 & 2 were faster by quite a margin (Aston Martin and Porsche) The Aston needed to pit for tires while the Porsche was on the same strategy as me. He waisted his tires before the end and the Aston on a fresh set came quickly back. They both braked extremely late in the corner just before the chikanes which made it possible for me to pass them on the inside. Resulting in my first online win and that in a FIA event :bowdown:

I was the Aston driver, I braked at my normal point into that last corner before the death chicane and the Porsche guy outbraked and slid into me forcing us both into the wall. He apologised afterwards in the chat and I as I said to him it happens no hard feelings, I hugged your back bumper all the way to line and was okay with 2nd.

All in all I think all 3 of us drove as cleanly as possible on that track (although I know you were battling with him behind me before my stop so not sure what he was like with you then.

Good race though and good fun, congrats on your win bud

Hey that is great to see I was with znother GTP member. The Porsche raced cleanly with me and battle was fair. I liked when we were all 3 side by side, 3 different lines at the corner of the pit pit entry leading up to the final. I simply crossed my fingers you guys would give me a small chance in heat of battle and so it went. Lucky me because at sheer speed my machine was lacking. Really tried to take care of tires. Was a nice race! Thank you and maybe we'll meet on track again :cheers:

Yes I was just as surprised when I was reading your post and suddenly realised the Aston driver you mentioned was me :lol:

It was a good clean fight and really enjoyable, same to you I'll add you as a friend when I am online later unless you send one before. Hopefully see you on track soon bud :cheers:
