Chose the Mustang for this Nations race. Went 1 second faster after one lap, beating my multiple lap times in the Atenza, RC F and 458.

Qualified on RM. Did a race run to lap 7, by the end of qualy. Started on RH.

Decided I'll run to lap 10 short shifting. Would have given faster cars room, but divebomb king in the Ford GT( also divebombed me on the exit lap with nowhere to go ahead as traffic was in front of me), couldn't and wouldn't be patient.

Divebomb king II in the AMG couldn't wait either. I lost grip and sailed to the grass. For some reason, grip was fading and the tyres weren't even worn.
Up ahead, an Atenza was getting beat up. I tried to get away from the murder of crows. Caught up to me on the main straight where another player gave me no room a few corners earlier. The Atenza looked to stay on the throttle on the left side of the dirt and t-bones me. Damage to everything.

I pit, for RM and a splash, end of Lap 10. Pick off a few cars to the finish.

Edit: RM on the Gr.4 Atenza, are useless to me. 2.5 Laps and mine are done.

Edit2: Boo to the penalties. Started 8th. Finished 11th, two stops and 443pts later. 👎

Yeah, this will be a difficult race, as a DS4 user the mediums last only 5 laps so I ask to everyone: one stop or two ?

Well I'm gonna go with hard on the fronts, medium on the rears and try for a six lap first stint. Second with rear bias and mediums. Still, the wrx seems to be pretty bad on this track - eats the fronts like candy and is quite slow on the straights...

I cruised round in the FT1 for a no stop on mediums...pleased with 7th.

Todays manufacturer race did not go well.
I never drive on catalunya, and I find the track difficult. I did not train much and unsurprisingly, I qualified poorly in 17th.
I decided to strart on RH and managed to pass 2 cars in the first lap. Unfortunately, a russian idiot decided to punt me (midly) in a turn (the one that precedes the penalty zone) instead of using the grip of his medium tyres to exit faster and pass me in the straight. Somehow he messed up his exit and i was as fast as him. I had the inside for the hairpin and he did not like it. Next turn, he pushed me completely out of the track and got 4s penalty. I lost probably more and when i came back on track, a spanish pushed me out again. 2s penalty for him (he rage quit 1lap before the end). So i was last by the start of the second lap. I tried to drive well, to catch up with the previous drivers but i struggled. Later, people were goimg to the pit so i was up to 12th and at the end of lap 7 i went to pit to change to put on medium tyres and fuel.
I exited the pit in17th just behind the russian, which probably was already having issues with his second set of tyres. Again, this idiot blocked actively, pushed me out of a turn while not getting penalties and giving me SR-.
Luckily some people were fighting and messing up in front and after pushing me one more time, he got 2s penalty and the drivers in front also had penalties.
I passed 3 people in the penalty zone and finished 14th...

So it was another frustrating FIA race, but this time, not because of my mistakes, because of dirty drivers.

The difference between medium and hard tyre is extremely noticable on the mercedes compared to other cars. With hard tyres, I oversteer in 3rd very often, the car tries to spin when passing on curbs and the grip really feels terrible. With medium tyres it's like a different car.

Wasnt confident in the nations cup as just dont click round brands hatch. Such a punishing circuit.

Anyways qualified 12th which surprised me as lap average at best.

Strategy was to race at 90% as I knew people would throw it off the track. By lap 5 I was up 3 position due to afore mentioned prediction although I did make 1 nice overtake. By now being held up in train of cars so went for early undercut pitting at end of lap 5.

By time pitstops were done I was 7th and then passed a couple of complient Italians that were no stopping. 5th looked comfortable and then I noticed was just under 2 laps to go I had 1.5 laps of fuel cue major fuel saving and loss of 1 position.

A shame as 4th spun on lap 14 so could of had 4th. Still 6th was pretty decent result.

Manufacturers I was very confident going in. Toyota gt86 seemed very well suited to track and conditions.

Poor qualifying seen me in 6th but still I was confident race pace would be very strong however I forgot that too many folk have zero racing common sense and will make stupid lunges and outrageous defensive moves. Ultimately got 2 penaltys for track limit violations when I was bumped off. Still finished 3rd but win would have been easy.

Currently contemplating risking the 1400 points I got for 3rd by doing 11pm race. Thing is a victory is only worth 1550 so risk reward.

This was the 6PM Aus/NZ Nations Cup race. Could've won but understeer got the better of me twice around Turn 4. Still a solid effort nonetheless, though.

I drove the 911 for the first time at Brands Hatch. When the tyres go off and it's on low fuel it becomes really, really weird.

Manufacturers went strangely well. Only had 4 laps in a lobby and then a couple of laps before the session started and managed to qualify 2nd in a strong (for me) group. Knew I was going to struggle with the tyre wear on my Chevy, but figured it was worth a shot with its good straight line grunt. Almost got the leader at the 1st corner, but they were in a GT86 and once I couldn't get ahead of him he just drove away from me. Race went ok apart from a bit of lunge from a Lambo driver before the 1st pit stop. Came out in 5th and hoped I would be able to just hold my position, which I did until the Lambo driver caught me again. I guess he thought I was being a bit of a <swearword> by trying to hold him up because he just punted me off again. Pretty sure he would have got me on the back straight, but some drivers can be a tad impatient. Got 6th and 1500 points so pretty happy.



Nations was tougher on little practice, and only qualified 17th. Didn't expect too much (probably should have chosen the Porsche but I lie driving the Beetle) but a few guys punted themselves off and I pitted a lap early to undercut a couple of others, and managed to get 12th, although I did have a little train of 4 guys behind me at the end. Enjoyable enough race but I am not fast enough at Brands Hatch to get good points so only got 800 odd.

Gr.1 at Dragon Trail Seaside II on Wednesday looks like a bundle of anarchy. At least the death chicane is a little easier on the reverse layout.

Fun races tonight. Sometimes I think I should sit the FIA races out and not take serious people's points, then I think forget that, I'm in it for fun. I usually only do each once, as 2 hours of racing extremely bores the wife. At least she likes watching F1 with me.

Nations, Q18, Brands Hatch is not my best track, probably one of my worst. First try in the Beetle, still looking for a Gr. 3 car I can drive deep like I like to. I run Honda in Manu, and can tell its one of the worst. I liked the Hyundai but still looking. Anyway, ho hum back of the pack, passed a DNF and a couple guys, F16, 98 points. Not shabby for me. One of few with no red dot, which got me back to 99SR for

Manufacturers, like I said, I'm a Honda guy, and it's not the best. I focused on a nice clean lap, put up 1:59.6 for 4th in an all D/S room. Made me nervous as I'm usually a backpacker, but the first few turns went well. I probably (very likely) braked wrong somewhere in the first 5 turns, but no carnage, good respect of space and lines all around. Held 4th for the first 3 laps, fell to 6th on lap 4, stayed there till everyone pitted on lap 5, which gave me my first FIA lap led. I pitted lap 6 (holding the lead!) and cycled right back to 6th. Cleanish run to the finish and on final lap was back to 4th, others' penalties benefitted me. Had a nice run off the last corner and would have gotten 2nd but the guy in 2nd bumped 3rd and bounced back in front of me and I rammed him across the line. I swore. Oh well, best ever FIA for sure, 4th place for a whopping 20 points. I was happy to place a Honda that high. No matter the room.

Yep just an educated guess, my DR rating is similar to last race so points value will be much the same I guess.

Anyway gave it a miss and watch some streams instead. Top split races are so well behaved there actually kind of boring lol

I'm quite looking forward to that one, had wee practise earlier to see what it was like on lobby conditions. Tyres hold on well and you have 28 laps worth of fuel lol.

For some reason I found guiding a grp1 car through the death chicane easier than a grp4 car when it was a daily race recently!!!

Ah ok. Based on those points you're at a higher DR level than me so that makes sense.

I've been fluctuating between C & B depending on how I do in the dailys, so it's hard for me to gauge what the points might be.

I raced the first Manu race & got 6th for 350pts, my season high point total. It bumped me up from the high C's to low B's and I was trying to decide if I should go for more. I decided not to since I didnt practice much so I had no strategy which luckly only cost me 2 spots in the first race, it could have been much much worse.

Had an interesting few races last night.

Put the WRX in 2nd at Catalunya which was a huge surprise. Not a bad room either.

Nations was a complete mess with many angry disrespectful drivers having their own battles which ruins it for everybody.

Need4speed685 was in most my rooms. He had a terrible time in the last Nations Cup race. I just don’t get how some people have S sportsmanship ratings and yet punt people off and ruin other people’s races. We all know what real Motorsport looks like, it should be replicated on track.

They need to do something about this game's tire model. Driving the smoothest lines today on Manufacturer's, short shifting, being really kind to my tires, but they were wearing out almost twice as fast as the driver behind's, who pitted at the same lap and had the same car (SLS). Not sure if he was using wheel, but he had TCS on. There's something very wrong with the tires now and it's making competition pointless. Losing my motivation to continue as I don't want to buy a wheel.

At round 5 of this seasons Nations Cup, I started 14th and finished 12th (video below). Despite this, I had scored 211 points steming from the fact that I had a higher driver rating.

In the fifth round of the Manufacturers Series, I had started 12th and moved up two places to finish the race. Around this time, I felt burnt out and thus realized I couldn't try this again.

Strange things have happened during manufacturer , a guy with a megane trophy start 11th on medium tires driving with pad did all the race at a good pace no pit. He did 11 laps wasting only half of is front left and all the rest was 70% to 80% and he win the race. I really don't understand , could it be a bug ??
Everybody on medium tonight was 1 stop from what i've seen so far on some others channels too.

That's the key word not found in many player's vocabulary, atience". When players are just out of the top 3, fighting to get closer to the podium is fine. However, some players act like they can win from 7th, with a handful of laps to go.

My day started so badly that I had no hopes of ending on a high. My PS4 HDD corrupted again, but this time I had no USB flash drive to format it, so I had to wait for today's (saturday) morning to arrange one and do the procedure. I often practice Manufacturers one day, then Nations the next day. Thursday my PS4 was fine so I practiced Manu well, but when I turned my PS4 on late friday for Nations, well, you already know what happened.

So, for Nations, I decided to not do the first slot (my PS4 took 10 hours to download GTS, download ended exactly 1 hour before the first Nations race) cause I had absolutely not given one lap on Brands. I, posterior to the problem, wanted to run the 911, but after it, I decided to pick a car that I'm familiar with, the Beetle, cause I wouldnt have time to adapt to the 911 that I dont drive very often. I'm satisfied with what I achieved with this car against the 911s.




Manufacturers I did twice. First one I started in 2nd after a bad qualifying and went for the no stopper. The first place guy also went for it. I was conservative on the first half of the race to save tyres and it almost worked, finished the race 3 tenths behind the winner, having well more pace in the end. The race that counted (below) I made pole on an ok lap for the Ftype. Went for the no stopper on hards, and it worked beautifully.

Anyway, expected manufacturers to be a disaster, but turned out my dr has gotten low, so the lobby wasn't particularly strong. Started 5th, finished 5th as my mediums died in the end of the penultimate and I misjudged the last chicane, resulting in a 0.5s penalty. Enough for the Audi dude behind to take 4th in the last lap. Guess patience can pay off as he "put the pressure on" throughout the whole race and matched my pace.

Nations I skipped due to the lobby experience. Track is fun, but not forgiving and a light punt can turn it all around.

I did my third race of the Manufacturers series last night to a quite unsatisfying conclusion when compared with the previous round.

In practice I had managed some times I thought might see me in the middle of the grid somewhere which I would have been quite happy with. Turns out my best lap would have been good enough for the front row with the lot I was matched with. However this didn't translate over in Qualifying due to tyre wear and fuel consumption being factors. I got four (poor) laps done, two spent trying to get myself some space away from eejits racing and the other two serving penalties. At that point the front tyres were shot and I needed to pit but I got caught with a guy on my inside through the last corner and missed the entry. I ended up 14th.

The race went ok considering, I passed three on the first lap. After a couple of laps I was behind a pair racing and serving penalties, they left me with nowhere to go at the hairpin and I bumped them both off but decided to get away from the tight area there to let them back past. They went past and I got back in front of another GT-R coming up from behind. I don't think he was very happy as back round at the first corner he punted me straight off. He didn't even get a penalty but I did and he just carried on. So I pushed on with that disheartened feeling and it was time to pit.

The fronts on the GT-R wore so quickly but the rears barely wore at all. Five laps was a bit of a push for them, the final two making up to six even more so. The rest of the race was reasonably uneventful after the pit stops. I got back past a few guys struggling having come back out in last place and dragged myself back up to ninth which was acceptable after the disappointment of the first half. Of course the guys that benefited finished fifth and sixth. Makes me wonder why I bother. But that's racing, I maybe just need to stop being so nice.:-D
