I did some highlights of a few races recently so thought I'd post some of the more insane ones, the first one is especially nuts in my opinion !

The point system solution might actually be as simple as raising the DR cap, though my personal solution would be to introduce fixed point tables, much like I suggested last year in my proposals to stop DR tanking (that thread can be found here). Basically, have 1st-20th correspond to 20-1 points respectively, and then multiply the score by a factor based solely on what split you are in. Time slot wouldn't matter, nor would someone getting kicked before the points are locked in. Top split would always award a certain score multiplier, and then the splits below would offer progressively lower points, with the severity of the drop-off depending on region size.

It could cause a problem in regions where certain time slots are weak, but then people are obviously going to try and race those 'weak' time slots and then they'll no longer be weak. I'll post a theoretical points/multiplier table per split if anyone is interested.

Speaking from past experience, ditch the Lambo. I only picked them because I didn't know the Gr.4 Huracan chewed its front tyres and the Gr.3 Huracan was an uncontrollable mess. I think I spun out at Brock's Skyline at least 5 times out of 7 attempts.

I’m going to wait until a few races in and see how the standings are shaking out until I choose a manufacturer. I don’t see myself committing too much to the Manufacturer’s Series anyway, my focus will be on Supras first, then Nations, then Manufacturers.

Gonna try the Subaru but... wow the BOP of that manu is messed up.

Subaru is a decent choice, but they are very slow in a straight line in both Gr.3 and Gr.4 so you have to drive the wheels off of them in the twisty bits. Got beaten at Monza in the Gr.3 Scooby by the guy who came 1st in EMEA last season last week, when I was driving a Mustang, so good drivers can always find a way.

Also a certain Lightning guy has chosen them in EMEA so that kinda scuppers that manufacturer for anyone else in that region

Yes, you can get results with the Gr3 car but it's really combo dependent and you cannot afford to lose slipstream. Gr4 may now be completely useless with the higher multipliers.

Not certain on new Manufacturer but I have a short list.

I signed with VW again.

The Gr.4 might really struggle with these tire wear multipliers. We'll see how the first few races go. If the tires cost me those races then I'll just skip the bad gr.4 combos and focus Nations that day, as long as it's not a Wednesday since I'll be limited to just the very last(10PM) time slot those days.

I did some practice for this past Wednesday's race that was a one-make with the GR Supra, only to remember that I wouldn't be able to actually do that race - because I'd be spending the day at the NYIAS, where I saw the real thing, haha! How's that for irony?

What I love about the RC F is, I can and have run both cars without HUD. The display is a bit smaller than others. Just about all race info is visible bar track position. Fuel and time count up, rather than down. I only need to concentrate on tire wear.

That's weird. I was A/A rating and went to check the RAce ENtry. The Star Player registration says I'm an S player. I look at the top of my screen and magically there is an 'S' in the top right hand corner. Well, we'll see what happens.

Started 4th(qualified on RH). Finished 3rd.5 seconds behind 2nd and 3 seconds behind 1st. No stop. Another event that felt like a normal Daily Race.

5th at Suzuka in the GT-R for 812 points. Should have been 4th, but the no-stopper in a 911 who I caught up to on the back straight on the final lap weaved and blocked me at the last second. After my customary That was some clean driving! he says "sry but last lap"

Doubt he would have been saying that if I hadn't avoided him, but there you go.

No stop did work well for me too on my EU account, i was the only one no stop in my race , i've just eated a few more rubber than the top guy in the video but it was still very manageable. Last 4 laps around 2:03.xxx 2:04.xxx .

Last night was a mixed bag for me in Oceania
Slot 1: stacked lobby with just about all the usual suspects vying for a spot on the world tour, 2588 available for 1st which is the most for Oceania since the region split, went the 911 like most others and a few people binned it in turn 1 but I couldn't capitalise and got caught in the midpack battle.
Slot 2: 911 again about 2100 available for 1st and I walked away with 1638.
Slot 3: gambled away my points and was so sick of the 911 I decided to go the FT-1 thinking there would only be about 1700-1800 max for 1st but 2 reasonably fast guys turned up from outta nowhere and boosted 1st to 1965, I over drove the Toyota wearing out the tyres and the 911s got the better of me and a VW took me on the last lap, I ended the night with 1528.

In the stage 1 finale of this season's Nations Cup, I had started 5th and finished 2nd with 229 points. I was satisfied with that result. I end this stage with 750 points.

I'll be gunning for the top spot in Aston Martin this time around. I finished the last Manu exhibition season in 21st just behind the top Aston driver in NA so I think I've got a fair shot. That being said, the top Aston driver in C&SA narrowly beat out NA's top Aston driver in points, with EMEA & Asia doing even better, so I'll bet it's going to be a major challenge staying in the top 3 regions. It should be interesting to see how I measure up.

Spent almost the whole day yesterday testing different cars and both Vantages felt surprisinngly comfortable; I found myself setting quick and consistent lap times even with tire wear at x2. The tire life of the Vantages, while slightly better than the Supra I drove in the 2019 exhibition, was a bit worse than most other cars I tested, but based on my pace in the car, and the results that the top Aston driver was getting last season, I'm confident I can do as good of a job as I've been doing in the top splits, if not better.

I've also got some really good-looking liveries for both Vantages, courtesy of @Azabear6. Looking forward to the season as always, hope to have some more clean and fun races with you NA guys on the track.

When you’re not the fastest in the lobby, but have one of the best races. 11th to 2nd for just over 1900 points. Best result so far this year.

First slot I tried, I was in the top split but the points weren’t high. My internet went potato-mode and I was not able to load the qualifying screen. I waited it out and got to run the race from 20th place with one red bar the whole time. Finished 16th. Not good enough.

2nd slot, this time I’m top seed in the 2nd split lobby...whew, no aliens detected! Internet much improved. Now, can I qualify where I should? Of course not. Started 11th. My only hopes are the tire strategy and capitalizing on mistakes of others while not making any myself. Oh yeah, did I mention I’ve never used the Beetle in a race before?
