Scored my highest ever Manu score but my frustrations were at an all time high after last night, first race, had a shot at my first ever 2000+ point score, yet had a rather infamous driver drive with total disregard for his fellow competitors and thus, lost my draft from a GT-R, and the chance to capitalise on a Toyota’s penalty.
Third race, win worth almost 2000 points and nailed qualifying to line up 2nd. I pulled out a 1.5 second lead exiting Tertre Rouge, on lap 2, by the time I reached Mulsanne corner, I had a McLaren F1 up my clacker. The battle that commenced was great but it’s enormously frustrating knowing you’re much faster but can’t do anything about it because of how slow your car is in a straight line. Although passing was nearly impossible, went for an all or nothng pass on the McLaren into the final chicane but just couldn’t pull it off, and to rub salt into the wounds, it slowed me enough that a Mazda slipped through to take 2nd off me
Regardless of how angry I was, it was fantastic racing and full credit to the McLaren driver (@Rangeraus) for holding me off under massive pressure, I hope we can do battle again soon.
After seeing what happened to Blitz in @Lion-Face ’s video, and what happened to Weapon at Kyoto last season, how long until enough is enough?
