I qualified 2nd 2:28.014. Pole(player that finished 3rd) pipped me at the end with a 2:27.3xx. 3rd was 0.8 behind me.

Overall, unbiased opinion. It's good. Needs more grunt versus the F-Type. However, I'd like to see what a fast players can do with it. It's a Slopra in deed, but it's a nice ride.

I started in RM, everyone at the front were on RS. So, for me to hang in there with them as long as I did, this car has potential. I overshot T1 at the start. Then, it was just managing my pace until I figure out when I'll stop.

I was bad on fuel. 9% at pistop end of lap 6. I'll have to use torque instead of redlining. Switched to RH tyres and had a battle to the line with the F-Type. Definitely a kind driver behind the wheel.👍

Tyre wear was fine. I was making up time in tight bits and can get on the throttle early. My trigger finger was numb and it's quite hot tonight. That added more spice to the final stint.

Well, advice is, if you haven't spent lots of time with the Supra before this race, use something else. It's a comfortable car. I'm sticking with it. Good luck!

Why are the race start times so different for each region?? I don’t follow the logic of making emea run early and then South America super late..
For me oceana is the schedule all regions should follow as it gives a nice spread of races across the evening which should allow more people to participate.

Second race was good. My first race qualy, would have placed me second in this race. Started 6th on RS this time. Pole(did a 26 second lap) looked to start on RH for one lap. Sat a couple positions behind me for most of the race. As the field switched to RH, Pole sitter must have pit for RS with two laps to go. Came through the field for a comfortable win.

Again, Supra is competitive. Overall, a good package.

The jags were strong down the straights it was basically lcfs and f types
did 3 races all with the M4 won the last as it was messy af for everyone else, but some solid hard racing
I believe the first 2 races were won with no stopping but just wasn't the best way with the BMW imo

Qually was 29.0s started mediums went 6-7 laps then to Hard's

Not a fan of time slots,
Also Buff Veyron!
TRL game need to rock veyrons

is the nations race at spa going to be a 2 stop race?!
If lobbies are anything to go by then no. I did a practice run and in practice a pit stop just for tyres cost me about 4s, (2:29 previous lap, 2:40 in lap, 2:21 out lap, the extra couple of seconds coming from the faster, fresh tyres). Happy days I thought! In the race however, the car drove into the pits and a stop just for tyres was closer to 15s. Don't think you can afford two of those, even with such a big delta between hard and soft tyres.

I can probably run first slot later and am tempted to go for mediums having not tested them

UTC only covers the British Isles, Iceland, and Portugal. Most of the rest of EMEA is UTC+1 and UTC+2.

BRST is the furthest east time zone and a daylight savings zone, and only covers a small part of Brazil, while the rest of the continent is 1-4 hours behind.

For the most part, the centre time zone of each region races at 5pm. I converted the US to Central, but didn't do CSA/Asia because I hate working in time zones.

Next Nations are anyone of these! Awesome!

Edit: Ah skip it.👎 Someone already used the SFR concept to set the quickest time.

I used the S2000, another player used the Dino and another used the Integra. Takes all the enjoyment out with people detuning METAs.

N class FIA races feel like they should either be one-make or just not allow de-tuning as otherwise it's a choice of the SFR concept, F50 or X-Bow

Guy in my Nations race won by 23 seconds. Didn't use hard tyres. Whoops.

Based on the mount of time I'm going to have, I think Tuesday Nations races will be out the window for me. I'm not going to have the time to practice properly for them, and with being new to a wheel I'm going to be a danger. I did get to have a good race with a Czech guy in a TT though, who I'm pretty certain ruined my race in the first round of the Supra Cup. Nice to see we're all improving.

I got a 7s penalty from the car in front missing his braking point at Bus Stop, cutting the inside of the corner, rejoining the track perpendicular to it, hitting me and going off the other side.

Turned a 5th into a 10th.

I wish PD would DQ a racer for not using the required tire.

Guys is anyone having the same issue? I got a 100MB fiber optic connection - quite good as I live in the capital of my country - not some ********.
I got 5 green stripes in the connection bar - everything is working fine except FIA races. I get disconnected either during the quali or just before the race even starts. This issue doesn't appear when I join daily or lobby races... only FIA.

Wondering if it's just me or another bug that came to live after the update. I didn't have this before.

Managed the early slot for Nations and went for the Jag, mainly because I'd had no real time to try much else. Qualified crap (15th) but had a clean race and ended up 11th. I did end up running the mediums without any practice as I threatened to earlier! Did a 4/7 H/M. So while I went backwards at the start down to 18th, the relatively early pit stop and long run on quicker tyres than most really paid off. If I hadn't encountered some heavy traffic and been unfortunate enough to catch a recovering driver who unghosted just before we entered Eau Rouge a top ten was easily on the cards, maybe even top eight.

After everyone had pitted I was up to around 14th and with a faster car than most (who had gone onto hard tyres). I closed a gap of 6s to the group ahead, and while a couple had their own issues, promoting me a place or two, I was able to briefly take my favourite spot of 10th into La Source at the start of the final lap from a Pole in a Merc, but after defending down Kemmel into Les Combes I missed the apex of Malmedy and left the door open down into Rivage. I wanted to hold it around the outside but he went deep and there was contact so I had to yield to stay on track. Was going to try a final move around the outside at the bus stop and was side by side going into the braking zone but we both got punted by a Lexus who picked up a 4s penalty for his troubles. I came off worse but the status quo remained and the Pole finished 10th to my 11th. 150 points for 11th suggests it was a pretty decent standard, shame you don't get an extra 50% race points for a CRB amongst the chaos!

Happy New Year!

:cheers::cheers:

(Apologies for the absolutely shocking report!)

Did Nations tonight and I got a solid result, with is something i was not expecting since i did not so much practice. Also I find these fuel races really hard because I'm not good at managing tyres and fuel... I just prefer to go flatout without caring about the car conditions.

On qualy I hit my best lap (2.27.3) but for sure there is a lot to improve. I noticed that I was losing time mainly on corner exits... maybe thats because im used to drive more the gr3 cars, which you cant take agressevily the throttle on those exits. But considering I not did any fuel burning in my outlaps, i was happy with that time, which gave me the 3rd position on grid.

In the race, nothing major happened... I just fuel saved like hell, shifting the Merc on 1/3 rpms and I almost got 2nd place, who run out of fuel... But because of some mistakes on my part, I couldnt captalize and I finished in 3rd position.

Overall, Im happy with that result! Got solid 212 points with not so much of practice. Looking foward to Manufactors tomorrow. Im going with the Nissan and in my practice session I really felt confortable with this combo... We will see how it goes.

Edit: By the way, @praiano63, it was a shame you got disconected. RIP.

Happy New Years everybody!

Every time I try to practice and be prepared for these races I’m taught a lesson that I should never do it again. I spent around 90 mins (including an EMEA race where I won pole and finished 2nd, admittedly against B DR players) practicing which is a huge amount by my standards, and managed to qualify 16th and finish 13th as the 3rd seed in the room. You can’t practice circumstances. It doesn’t matter how much you practice when your qualifying lap is mediocre and you get stuck in a giant mob of slower cars it’s impossible to get out of. At least that can be fun when I go into it blind.

Took a risk with the McLaren for Nations during the first slot tonight. It was one of my favorites in the B race around Spa a few weeks back, but I knew it would struggle against the power cars along with gulp fuel. Put a set of RS tires on and it absolutely flew along the track though. Only managed one hot lap due to poor timing but that was still enough to land me p5.

After some seriously clean racing I managed a p3 finish with a 20s gap to 2nd and 14s gap to 4th. Pit strategy is wild for this race. P1 went with a H3/S4/S4 strat and P2 went with S7/H4 to my S5/H6 strategy. Hamilton must've been driving on his NA alt to care for those tires over 7 laps.
Best FIA finish for me ever! :gtpflag:

Doing a single Nations race just for the hell of it and of course I get put into the same room as Turismo-lester, Deafsun, etc. :nervous:
Then get a BS penalty from hitting a car that un-ghosted right in front of me.

Qualified 8th, fell to 18th, climbed to 10th. Ugh.

Edit: And a huge shout out to the fuel burners that take up the whole damn track when you're doing it. If you're not ghosted when you're doing it, then you're doing it wrong.

Well I went in the merc as I seemed to be able to extract the most from it even if it was a little thirsty on the fuel..

qualifying went well managed to get 2nd without the aid of OP slip stream only 1 tenth behind P1 and half a second faster than P3 .

started the race behind a jag on hard tyres and planned to sit behind him and fuel save as much as I could , but the jag decided that was not the plan and spun off at the first turn so I was left with a trail of fuel saving Meganes and mercs so I had no choice but to push the limits.
I came in to the pits at end of lap 6 with a 4.5 sec lead and not a lot of fuel to bolt on some softs for a 5 lap stint .
I exited the pits with only just enough fuel to ensure I could push to the finish and to my surprise when I came round to catch the leading cars in the pits I past them and had extended my lead to 7 seconds

from then on I just managed the pace to take my first win in a nations cup and a healthy 205 points .

In summary: I chose the wrong car and the wrong strategy. I started 16th and ended up there. The whole experience was an absolute shambles and I just got left behind. That's all I have to say.

Just did the first 2 Nations races of the evening. In the first one I qualified and finished 7th with 130 points, which was decent, but I could've been in the top 5 if not for some stupid self-imposed penalties for cutting Eau Rouge and running wide on one of the other corners. Those penalties put me back into the clutches of some way overagressive drivers, especially at the beginning of the race, where I almost got spun at the end of the Kemmel Straight as 6 of us all stacked up into the corner and the 2 cars behind got spun and I got forced into the wall.

Thinking I could do even better, I decided to risk another round, and regretted my decision upon seeing that the points on offer were slightly less than my first race, requiring me to HAVE to finish better in this round. I started off well enough by qualifying 2nd, then briefly took the lead after the polesitter nearly spun out after Eau Rouge after running too wide on the exit (I assume to avoid getting a corner cutting penalty. My lead didn't last long as a Viper on softs (I was on Mediums) made short work of me, then me and the polesitter (also on softs) battled for 2nd until their tires wore down and I took 2nd for myself. I then pitted at the end of lap 5 for some hards (same strat as the last race), I emerged in the middle of the pack and escaped a penalty after punting and spinning a Porsche that had gotten loose on the curbing in Pouhon, slid across the inside grass, then rejoined on the racing line on the exit of Pouhon and left me no where to go. After all was said and done, I brought my Corvette home in a lonely 3rd (11s behind 2nd, 8s ahead of 4th) for 154 points behind the winning Viper and a Mercedes that both made their soft tires last one lap longer than I did my mediums. Not a single RC-F on the podium (though one was on pole)! I believe this was also the first podium I've ever gotten on a road course against all A/S drivers! And it was a clean race too! I'd share my screenshot of my finishg screen, but I can't find a flash drive to put it on...

Also, I noticed several people actually locking their tires (tire smoke and a red border flashing around their front tire wear indicators), despite the ABS indicator being on in the replays. I've never seen that before.

I’m back from my GT Sport hiatus and thanks to New Years, I have extra time to do the weekday races.

In the first attempt of today’s race, I qualified 14th. But things went south real quick when a Jaguar rammed me at Pouhon on the first lap. He made no attempt to slow down afterwards, so it was most likely deliberate and I was knocked down to last. I eventually caught up to him at the end of lap 7 and made an aggressive pass on him on the chicane and nudged him out of my way. Things then got heated and the Jaguar was now intentionally trying to run me off the track. He had some success in doing so, but karma intervened and hit him with an 11 second penalty.

Thanks to that, I caught up again and passed him and there was no more contact between us for the rest of the race. I finished in 15th, one position ahead of the Jag and my SR intact.

On the second attempt, my lap time did not register for some bizarre reason. I didn’t have a penalty from what I recall. So I had to start in 18th by default. At that point, my goal was to just get into the top 10, which I managed to do. After this, I decided not to push my luck.

So yeah, my first run at Spa was pretty rough. Hopefully, Manufactures tomorrow will go a lot smoother. I picked Nissan again since I barely raced last season.

Decided to give it another go. Did some fuel burning even though I absolutely despise that action and didn't qualify any better as far as position goes (P8) but was only 1 second of the pole sitter this time instead of 2 seconds. Ran the same strategy, starting on hards and lost a few spots at the start. Pit at the end of lap 6 instead of lap 5. Took softs and enough fuel to get home and put my head down. Passed a few cars in and out of the pits, got the fast lap (2:26.754) in the process, and was on the tail of P5 crossing the line. One more lap and I would have had him.

I'll take my P6, fast lap, clean race, 227 points, and move on.

Edit: Only person using the Aston.

I think I was in that race too. It was a Jag with a Silk Cut livery that won right? I started and finished 7th in my Corvette after some slightly sloppy driving. I did the 2nd race of the night as well because of that and finished 3rd with the top 2 drivers going 6 and 7 laps on their soft tires with plenty of fuel left as well, whereas my Mediums were falling off after 5 laps and my tank was empty after 6. I even got leapfrogged in the pits that race by a car several seconds behind me just because of how long it took to fill my car up.
