Is there any way to see the Manufacturers CUP distribution of players? I would like to have an idea how many players are in every manufacturer for the season. I am thinking to go with a not so popular one and want to check the possible choices.

You can go to the GTSport website and view the points rankings by each manufacturer to see how popular each was in previous seasons. I'm not aware of any way of checking who has chosen what for a season that's not started yet though. As soon as round 1 is done you'll be able to check the rankings at that point.

Previous seasons data do give a good indication as to which the more popular manufacturers are, although people are experimenting during the exhibition seasons.

I’ll let my front bumper explain how that race went last night...

First time posting my race here. I was expecting nothing from this race but I'm still disappointed. I didn't have time to practice because we lost power due to heavy rains e floods in my city. So a made the same mistake as some of you, run out of gas :banghead:.

I'm hoping last night's beating in the Nations race was just a fluke, as my qualifying pace was about 2s off of what I practiced, when it should've only been roughly 1s. In the 1 practice race I did for the Manufacturer's race I was about on pace to where I expected to be, and was actually able to do a 1-stopper, so I'm hoping to get at least mid-pack tonight.

Had a couple of laps on Brands Hatch for Round 2. Tough decision between 911 RSR, Alfa and Citroen, very similar times in practice. Can anyone tell me which one should be better in terms of tyre and fuel usage? Had around 4-5 laps with each, my record was with 911 - 1:23.239 with an optimal of 1.22.8. Other two bests were in the 0.1 range of RSR with optimal in the same range.

Planning to use the next days to practice a bit after making my car decision, I am sure there are at least 6-7 tenths still to gain.

Had a really nice surprise, practiced with TC0(usually for Gr3 I am using TC2) and nobody died. Think I improved in the last few weeks a lot - last time I tried Group 3 cars with TC0 in the N24 the stewards had a lot of work fixing the bended railguards left behind.

Last night's Nations Cup races were disastrous. If there's anything I despise, it's this:

You have players who deliberately play unfairly, unsportsmanlike, and dirtier than the keyboard you use at the office. It's obvious that they're not going to race fair when you see them up ahead already trying to force players off the course or punt their way through positions. Well come the 2nd Nations Cup race, said player takes me out on the final turn approaching the main straight to the 2nd lap, sending me from 4th to dead last. I'm furious at this point because they did not receive a penalty for their behavior, and I was sent so far off of the course that I was expecting the game to reset me, but it did not, thus I had get my car back into alignment and drive my way back on the course, which has cost me a huge time loss at this point.

Three laps later, still far behind in last place, I see said player has dropped into 16th position. Either they lost control or someone else took action against them for their conduct. In any case, two more laps in and I start to catch up. Turns out said player has been tussling with the other three cars trying to pass him. Eventually I get within range and close in, and as we're making it past Wurth Kurve, he tries to forcefully close the door on another player who had a better exit speed than them, attempts to ram them off the course, gets their tail clipped, wipes out, and immediately quits the race.

Karma came and bit your rear, and then you quit, knowing you're deliberately trying to ruin the race for others? I might have got binned into last place but I didn't just give up because I didn't get my way or the highway! If you're gonna play stupid games, then you're gonna win stupid prizes. Had you not played these stupid games you wouldn't have to quit in a rage because you couldn't play fair.

I ended up finishing that race in 11th after all that trouble. Here's hoping the next Nations Cup race has a much more forgiving car/course combination as well; with the BoP tuning that PoDi applied to the Roadster Touring Car, and with CS tires, costly mistakes could be easily made.

Two laps on softs at Spa in the GT-R and the front tyres are useless. Can't wait for Famine's race report tonight.
To save some time it's "Finished last, literally on the rims."

Edit: Alternatively "black-screened in the middle of the race intro animation after qualifying".

Which car should yield in this situation before Eau Rouge? The Nissan is going 2mph faster than the Alfa.

No rule obliges either to yield. It's possible to go two wide through those corners as long as both cars are sensible about it and leave space for each other. Whether or not that's a good idea for lap time is something entirely different.

That and what @MaxAttack said.

That said, if I'm in the Alfa I'd yield and use the GTR's slipstream up the hill. Again, that's just me and nobodies obliged to do that.

Neither, they should aim to corner side by side like the best drivers at the world tour and if not, crash out in a ball of flames and then git gud.

Seriously though, if I was the Nissan and I was pulling ahead, I would expect the Alfa to yield as I am ahead even if only by half a car. If I was the Alfa, I would pull back slightly and try and take advantage of the slipstream.

Like I need any help losing DR in any Gr4 Mazda race. Second race was a glorious 12th to 15th drive. Might try again with a 7H/4M strategy, but as the lead cars are doing 6M/5S I may as well plait my arse hairs for half an hour.

is it even worth trying a 2-stop?

Perhaps. Qualified 6th, Finished 2nd. I forgot to check tyre requirements and used all 3 just in case. Soft to start changed after 4 laps, but the 4th lap I lost time. hard for 2-3 laps then onto Med to finish. I'm in the lower ranks though, but tyres fade fast and theres a noticeable difference in the middle section corners between each type and if they are fresh or just 2 laps old. I was in a Porsche if that helps.

Thanks. Will try next race.

Cannot even atm qualify cause my screen stays black, wtf.

Soooooo, Manufacturers 1st slot. In the Jag.

Not ashamed to say that I bottled Nations last night, after doing a few practice laps and having a think about it I didn't fancy a slipstream train (potential) penalty fest that could wreck my SR with little time to recover it before today, and in lobbies I'd shown good pace for Spa, so here we were.

I knew from lobbies that the cars good on tyres were ridiculously quick at the end, but if there were enough Jags or Lexus etc to block them coming through... if you qualify far enough ahead then they shouldn't get close enough to be a problem. Just need to stick it on pole and hope the other beasts do the business 👍.

Didn't stick it on pole though! Qualy was decent from position point of view but mediocre from a time point of view, took 4th with a 27.0. Pole was a Brit in a Merc who did a (in my eyes) stunning 26.0, and sandwiched in between us were a Renault and a McLaren - so much for the beasts keeping the dogs at bay! My lap was done in clean air and they may have had slipstreams, but I was disappointed not to be mid 26s, anyway.

Chose to start on softs, which was always the plan if near the front and I felt I'd find out pretty quickly if those around me were or weren't on the soft tyre. They weren't, they were also doing fuel saving by the looks of it, so it was time to take advantage of Jaaaaag power and soft tyres. I was going to post a very long message, but I'll throw the disclaimer that on L1 I couldn't see my braking reference for Rivage (luckily didn't collect anyone) and I'll leave this here...

First five laps and then L6 after the pit stop are where most of the action happened before I became the proverbial cork in the bottle for the rest of the race. In all the excitement though I did forget to save the race replay so I couldn't get to see any of the shenanigans that went on behind me as I backed everyone up!

First FIA win!! And 265 points, a great start to the campaign :gtpflag:

I can’t say I enjoyed this race at all. Qualified 6th and started on Mediums. I felt like a 2 stop would be a bad idea so planned for a 1 stop. Went as far as I could on the mediums, only getting to lap 6 before they died. There was no way I was going to make softs last for 5 laps so had to take on mediums again. People must have been pretty frustrated being stuck behind me on corners! Got passed by a few cars and only finished as high as I did as a couple of drivers spun out on the last few laps!
