Well, don't know if half the grid left because of the room rankings or mass disco's. It's only exhibition, but I'll have that.

had a couple of fun lobby runs this afternoon, so good in fact that i thought i would just skip fia as they are too stressful. but got suckered in and did the 8.40pm race i think it was... absolute waste of time. punted twice in qualifying, punted about 6 times in the race, ended up 2nd last. looking at lap times i should have been about top 5 or 6 (and this was in a split way higher than i usually end up in, mostly A/S with a few S/S). did get a nice revenge punt on some grub who was targeting me for no reason since warm up, so that was satisfying i guess.

yooooo what are you doing in a DR: D split hahah

Nothing like a lead barricade to interrupt your drive to 2nd.

Started 12th. Up to 3rd after turn 1. After the guy behind me overshoots turn 1 on lap 2 and hits me after cutting the chicane, a 2 second penalty and I'm down to 14th.

Not that it matters, I suppose. I really, really can't drive these cars.

Went for the first slot in the Toyota. I qualified ok but noticed a lot of people braking waaaay too early, which made it hard to get the right line with rolling roadblocks through several corners a lap.

I started around 10th, and headed into the first chicane carnage exiting with a position of 3rd after the first corner, but if the first chicane doesn't get you...the second will. So far from being clear of the mess and in with a shout of the lead, I was back to 16th before I had reached half a lap, but then made it up to 10th again by the end of lap 2 because it was such a mess.

I managed to settle into my own space for most of the race starting on Mediums for 11 laps and then Soft for the last 6. I had fuel left at the end, and mostly gained places through pit stops or the occasional off. I only went off once myself. I finished 5th then gained 2 places as cars ahead only used Soft tyres giving me a podium finish! That will do for today thanks.

Got to say those Super Formula cars are a lot of fun, even if I am not great in them. Qualified 8th, after accidentally pressing the handbrake (O) in Parabolica instead of boost (X), and then having to dodge a barrier in the middle of the road at the first chicane.

Started ok, was on the inside going into the 1st corner, but that meant I was on the outside into the 2nd part and I just got shoved a little wide and lost a few places. Then I messed up the 2nd chicane and got a snap of oversteer and lost a couple more. Finally through Ascari a guy ran wide and then did a Vettel return to the track which caused chaos. I ended up back in 17th.

The guy that had cause the chaos then got in front of me, and did exactly what I had done in qualifying and pulled the handbrake right in front of me and then went spearing off into the scenery.

I spent the whole rest of the race just picking my way back up through the field and ended up in 10th (started on mediums & pitted on lap 9). Lots of fun but 1 race is enough :)

After so long, I finally got my first FIA race win.

Started in P3 (equaling my best starting position) and the race was straightforward and as soon as I managed to get out of the T1 carnage, that is where it was all about getting that P1 position and it was a very close battle and it involved a lot of defensive driving when it comes to keeping your lead and the guy who was battling me for P1, he gave me tons of pressure and I'm glad that I didn't give in to the pressure.

Wow. Just Wow.
I expected total carnage, but it turned out to be a surprisingly fun and fair race!
Expected to start way behind as I didn't think I had any pace. Surprised myself and started in P4!
The start went well for me and I think was clean overall. P5 had outbraked himself into turn 1 and by trying to get back caused a bit of chaos behind, but overall a lot cleaner than expected.
After that it actually became a bit of a boring race for me. I was in P4 and P3 spun off directly in front of me in lap 4. From then on I was alone, P1 and P2 were 4 seconds in front of me.
I originally planned to pit in lap 7 to go from softs to mediums, but I extended that to lap 8 as there was quite a big group of cars behind me that I didn't want to get caught up in. P1 did pit in lap 6 and got into that group. Luckily most of them also pitted in lap 8 and no one got in front of me.
Again, P1 and P2 were 4 seconds in front of me. However, there was a Polish driver coming up from behind. In lap 10 he got up to P4 with 5 seconds between us and by the end of the race that was only 1.7 seconds.
P1 and P2 had an awesome battle and at their peak I got close to 2 seconds to them, but they stopped fighting so nothing I could've gained there.
251 points, my best nations result this season so very happy and will not go again ;-)

Clearly the hour and more I spent in the livery editor instead of practicing paid off:

Started 7th. Went up a few places at the first corner. Lost a few as I basically let people pass me and if they stayed ahead, good for them. Pitted on lap 10 and came out in... 6th, I think. Battled with a French and a Czech for a bit with some mutual clumsiness, then on lap 16 they both binned it at the first chicane. I was in 5th by about ten seconds before yellow flags appeared at the Parabolica. 4th had gone off, so I got a free promotion. Extremely pleased with how that went tbh.

One and done tonight from 13th on grid to 5th for 251 points .
As expected turn 1 was a absolute joke I started on mediums but I picked my way through ghosted and penalty effected cars up to 7th by 1st lap and rest was a plain sailing.
Was pretty clear the top 4 had dropped dr intentionally as they was 24 seconds up the road as I seen them in kies streams

So, Monza in SF19 Honda. As I said, had a good feeling about this, got my time trial time to 1.30.035 and pretty much consistent laps.

As it was my first FIA races in DR A, did not know what to expect. I had a very good quali lap and started 4th. I am usually fast with standing starts and I started well getting up to 3rd till T1. In T1 of course, carnage - managed to avoid the first corner but got punted in the second - sand trap. From 3th to last in a corner. "Funny thing" - all first 4 in quali were in the last 4 positions after the chicane.

Tried to recover, but in 6th lap as I was 12th, had a spin in the fast chicane, after accelerated a bit too fast. Again last, so had no mood to push again. Just cruised till the end for 16th position. Crappy race, won't waste my time on it.

My focus now is to preserve the A DR for the official season. I dropped to 30.8k after this and 3 wreckfest races at Brands. Hopefully I can gain a bit tomorrow.

I haven't had time for practice races, what strategy are people using today? Just one stop for tires? 9M/8S?
I did 10/7. The tyres go off quickly but the car still has a lot of grip. It depends on how gentle you are with the throttle and how comfortable you are in the 2nd/3rd gear corners, but a 2-stop is too slow.

Went for the second last slot. Set a time of 1:31:3x before qualify, but in qualify I didn't do too well, 36.4, one lap only as I got dived and pushed off on the other.
Started p18 on mediums, took it very slow towards t1, avoided the carnage and was by circa grande in p8. Alash, in Askari I got rear ended into the sand so back to p18.
Worked my way to p11, pitted for softs and came out p16. Got punted way way off in second chikane and struggled forward again.
The last 6 laps I was all alone, forward gap 12 seconds, rear 13. So I pitted again for new softs to have fun in the curves.
Finished p13, not much points but haven't time for more.

Right now with current BOP, with manufacturer is better on tires/fuel? BMW or Lexus? Gr.3 and Gr.4 cars. Which is better overall?

I need to pick one for a race tonight lol
Depends on the driver. I've used both and the RC F is more forgiving than the M4. It's also faster than the M4.

RC F GT3 is stable and tyre wear/fuel see good. M6 is less stabl, but still quick. Fuel/Tyre I found to be average.

Race tonight was no fun. The aggression level was a bit high for my taste.

Made a lot of mistakes, including getting revenge on a driver who had hit me before. It worked, it wasn’t worth it and, to make things worse, he came back and punted me to the second-chicane’s-gravel-shadow-realm.

Monza is hardly ever worth it, no matter how much fun the SF cars are to drive.

2 attempts at Nations so far tonight. 2 top 10 finishes despite being slaughtered into last place on the first lap both times. But, I have pace, so I'll keep trying to better my point haul. Lost 11 SR in the process (to 88) so I might get into a lower split next race. *EDIT Yup, I'm one of 3 A/S drivers in a lobby full of D/S drivers in the 19:40 race, so no way to improve my score this round.

@Sven Jurgens was in both of my races so far, and I'd be interested to see his perspective on turn 1, lap one in the 5 pm Eastern race.

Sorry, I didn't save the video nor replay. It was an odd start though. I started 19th, 2 crashed at the start then when I started braking early for T1 I shot by 5 people in the braking zone then a bunch of ghosts in T1. It was messy.
