So just to check something (excuse if I am Captain Obvious) but I take it the S-FR Racing Concept is the only car I should consider
for tomorrow's nation's race or is there any alternatives?

The last time I went for using this car I ended up against the F50 but that doesn't seem the case this time?

Have not 100% decided if I am gonna actually enter the race as it's a busy week but although I love to hate this car when I speak I kinda do enjoy driving it plus it seems to have a new surge of liveries appearing and there's one I wanted to show off.
You could always try the F-150 :)

Wonder if the Stratos would be any good. Short wheelbase, gearing okay and it's punchy.

Edit: T/A was good. Consistent 1:05s all race except last lap as a generous S-FR let me go in front for the last 6 laps and I handed the place back on the last lap.

Just got gifted a blue TRD Tundra...

Very few points floating around in the Oceanic FIA races recently. Tonight’s races topped out at about 200 points for the win. Crazy stuff.

Came 2nd in the SF-R Nations race today taking home 199 points. But man was that a boring race. No strategy, no fuel, no tyre wear to really worry about. The pace was around high 1:07s to low 1:08s.

Hopefully the manufacturers tomorrow is better. I usually do alright around the redbull ring so looking forward to it.

Assuming not many people are excited about today’s slipstream dominated nations 1 make race at Tsukuba and therefore are not entering it in protest at the op slipstream dominating all racing and qualifying lately ?

They could make these types of races so good if a bit more effort was placed into the N class BoPs IMHO.

But I reckon you’re right. This race is just daft.

Cheers, quite how they can come up with epic combinations like the last nations at Monza in superformula then immediately follow it with this weak slipstream ruined yawn fest is baffling. What a comedown from the highs of Saturday. It’s like a real life driver finally getting his dream race, then immediately being relegated to local banger racing!

I've been qualifying without slipstream just fine lately, except the last Nations race at Monza, where I only qualified 13th with no slipstream, but I'm not sure if anyone else was slipstreaming either. To me it's usually not worth the risk of catching someone too early and being held up for the rest of the lap.

Cody qualified without a slipstream for today's Nations and ended up 8th on the grid. His first flying lap of the race, i.e. with slipstream, would have got pole by an entire tenth, it was over 3 tenths quicker than his non-slipstream lap, for a 67 second lap.

Now, I'm not saying I just obliterated an Italian driver who decided after three laps that he wanted 4th (me) and 3rd (another Brit) and smashed into me, punting me into the car ahead with whom I'd been having a nice race, in turn one, but I have no other way of ending that sentence. If you're going to drive like a dickbag*, I'm going to treat you like one. His glory lasted less than a sector, and he finished a heavily penalised 12th.

It turned a 4th with potential of a podium into a 5th (I had to pass two other drivers to make that happen), but also poked me back up into DR A for the first time in a while after very many Gr.4 Mazda races.

*Lol, his SR/DR history shows him tanking his SR to get easy wins and promotion to DR A, where he was immediately demoted back to B. Don't know how he got into my race with an SR of 89 though...

Nations Round 7
Such a dull combination. Felt like playing follow the car in front for 20 minutes with only some very minor distractions sprinkled in. :odd:

The entire grid was Toyota S-FRs with the exception of one Mazda Roadster. I started P11 after getting held up a little in qualifying by someone who ultimately started almost at the back. I tried breaking off into the pits for fresh tyres and hopefully a clearer gap but ultimately missed getting onto a new flying lap by a couple of seconds.

The race was mostly a precession. I was pushed wide twice at the second hairpin throughout by people forcefully barging up the inside, with the game deciding I had committed the Eighth Deadly Sin on the second one. It gave me a 1 second penalty which let several cars past when served shortly after. :banghead:

I ultimately finished P13 after some mistakes by drivers ahead, narrowly stealing a position by 0.025s through the last bend after the driver in front went into a slide. The annoying thing is there was some very slight contact between us as it played out and the game decided he committed the Eighth Deadly Sin from it. It slapped him with a penalty that cost him a position or two. He really did nothing wrong!:irked:

Not going to bother trying again, but Group 4 Lago Maggiore GP should be a more entertaining race! I think I'm going to pull out the Ferrari for that one.

@Zorz: We were in the same race. I was in the Green Toyo that finished 19th.

Had only one try, can't find any pace on this track. Started 17th, finished 19th but that was such a dull and boring race. RIP the 1300 points from DR which were sacrificed on the shrine of the Boring God...

Gave tonight's race a shot, went same as everyone else with the Toyota.
P13 on the door so wasn't expecting much. Managed a clean qualifying and with a bit of a tow started the grid P4, which was a total surprise. Nigh on my practice lap time of .08.
Prepped myself for damage limitation but the race went smoothly enough, lacking in pace in some corners meant I ended race P7. As the above has said, it is a bit of a boring race, one and done for me. Going to squander my new DR points at Blue Moon after I've had a bath

Is there fuel shaving during qualify for Nations? Could care less about being boring since hopefully I can regain some of the 10k DR lost last weekend and considering this race may be a "pass" for a lot of people. Although where I sit now, 1st place will likely be worth as much as 7th or 8th last Saturday.

I started qualifying around P10, didn't seem to be any fuel shaving in group I was in. Set BB 2 to rear for race
Good luck :)

Thanks mate. The daylight savings in the US means I should be able to squeeze in 3 tries tonight after work instead of the normal 2. Think my practice time is a low 108 which I hope might be good for high position in the C/S group.

Did some practice for today’s Manufacturer last night. I’m in the Ford Mustang for reference.

Tyres are the killer here. Like wow....

I’m really not sure what combination of strategy I’m going to do here. Might just play it by ear during the race.

I'm currently low B 12-13k S, .08.3x lap time had me in a reasonable group, obviously a good QT helps, I had a good tow through final corner for mine, only 0.1 off my best practice time 👍
