What if I hate the Alfa? What's a good alternative? lol
Megane Trophy is the next closest thing.

Well done! That was way better then I expected!
Practice was a desaster, was with the Supra at 1.39.2 while everyone in my friends list was at least 0,5sec faster. Maybe that was the reason that I switched last second to this little sports car:

So Qualifying was a desaster, 16th out of 19. But I have to say, the GT86 was a userfriendly race car. With a 2-Stop 10M 8H strategy, I was able to had a lot of fun. Sportmanship was except of T1 pretty good and was able to go to the 10th position before my 1st stop. After I topped the fuel up to 95% and switching to the hard tyres I went back on the track as 16th. Suprisingly my lap times didn't drop too much, maybe cause my learning curve with the car was kicking in. Another theory may be, that the delta with hard tyres is smaller with a lighter car, so I was finally able to outperform the big toys.
Last lap I was 7th but the poor Greece gentleman in front of me slowed massivley down with his Alfa, I guess cause of lack of fuel.
So I ended up 6th and I couldn't be much happier with this![]()
I wanted to use the Supra as well, but in that race, I would have would have named it, "Master Shredder".That was way better then I expected!

I tried that. You have a choice of pace or fuel - I didn't even make it to the finish line on two full tanks, though I did at least make it to the finish line of the normal track, so it was only a couple hundred yards of coastingMegane Trophy is the next closest thing.

Exactly.Sounds similar to my intention, maybe another point of my last second change. I still have the feeling, that the Supra is a bit under damped. Once it has found his position in his ride (like if you snag into your pillow) it is comfortable and good, but this takes some time. And while moving around it consumes his tires till the Supra has decided to be fine with your steering input.
Well, after the Supra race, that’s two in a row now that I’ve qualified top 5 and got run of the track on the first lap, T1 this time. I think I’m gonna take a pass on FIA for a while, spending hours of time on practice just to get run off on the first lap gets old pretty quickly. Have a good season everyone.![]()
Cayman is pretty good, more stable than Alfa, harder to get bullied about, gets to half distance on mediums before needing fuel and has plenty of empty space in the tank after pitting. If I hadn't have been rammed before starting a hot lap and been given 2s for it, I could have qualified better than P 9 and finished higher than P6 (helped by the 'winner' not noticing the tyre requirements and dropping to P12 on the line!).I tried that. Good to hear you had a good race!My 2nd Race went well, Well behaved racers in it & Was Battling close for the first 5 Laps before we all started to break away

Where is the dislike button?
Don't bail on FIA, it's been fun racing with you.

Haha, maybe you nailed it in qualifying! The only reason I think we have the weight of fuel is because the qualifying times are still a bit slower (I think) than the TT times where there is no fuel weight. That's my only logic.
I haven't raced yet since the update, but I'm pretty sure this is because tire wear is still on for qualifying, but fuel is not. So even though the fuel tank is empty, the grip is different than TT so cars will still be a bit slower. I wish they would change the free practice to match the actual in-race qualifying settings. The current system would be perfect with no fuel load but tire wear on, so you know people wouldn't be setting their lap times on a nearly empty tank but the grip model would match the race settings.
