Qualified on RM, everyone else on RS. THese suckers are going to be dust by lap 3. Surprised I'm even this far up.

Keep us updated, I'm looking to be total dog meat in my Jag, but going to give the 1 stop a fair shot after checking out @Mistah_MCA. But I suck saving tires. :yuck::lol:

OKay, this is for the testers. I mean the players that disect the details. What's with the tyres from QUaly to race? My tyres were better in the race than in qualy. Not saying the lighter fuel loads don't have en effect, but my tyres were lasting longer than I thought. Especially the RS. I could have pitted one lap earlier and gotten a couple spots. Maybe even up to my starting position. The other cars came straight back to me, as pretty much all did a one stop.

I pit end of lap 5 for RM(9th place) . End of Lap 10 for RS(came out 16th). Yes, a couple cars got penalties, but there was a pack of six cars I closed right up on. I got bumped a few times that impeded my momentum and I was also being patient behind drivers struggling.
I'm keen to go again, just to experiment. Depending on the room, I might be able to post a time like the Pole Lancer.

Players ran the RS first. I think the Atenza can run the RM like I did, to end of lap 6. Then, run the RS to gain some time for the last run on RM. I wasn't being too overpowered by cars on the RS. Moreso in cornering grip.

Holy heck! The Atenza has some top end. First off, out of the final corner, I left an M4. I mean, pulled away. It was in my tow, while I was behind an AMG and the M4 was not making groun. This was Lap 2. Second, I wasn't struggling to keep up. I was calm, my hands were sturdy on the controller, the car didn't sound like it was out of breath. I'm a little dumbfounded.

Sorry, @Redneckchef from what I could see, keep in mind I was on the slower tyre, the VAntage didn't seem too flash. I'll post a pic of its tyre wear. MAybe it was that race with those players.

Shoot! I could have run these from maybe lap 9.

That's all good. Car has been giving me fits anyway, so wasn't expecting much. From how it used to drive to now I feel like the big cat logo should be replaced by a scarred kitten.

Looks like the 2 stop might be my only real option in that thing. Kick arse on your second run.

I think it can do the job. It qualified ahead this time and did the one stop.

I'm saying it didn't seem to do anything spectacular.

I did the one stop. Pit end of Lap 9. Maybe One lap too many. That freakin' Lancer was pissing me off. NO race craft at all. Came from the back with a bad qualy. Dude wouldn't wait for me to attempt to move over. Everyone else clearly could see I was giving room for them to pass. Not one problem except for this dude. If that's a gtp member's son, speak to him or her please.

Done for the night.

Thanks for the heads up. I had a couple races against them, yeah, few bumps as well. Nothing malicious, just unpolished and brave, silly and lacking planning on some pass attempts or defenses. Will just wing it on tire strategy. Bit me bad at Sardegna, but they were driving away from me when I was on fresh tires there too so just have to go and keep it steady.

Just done 2 slots at Fuji. Very frustrating place because if you get off line even 1 car width, there is that much grit/marbles/etc it can ruin you and people nearby. I was planning to do 1 more slot but I want to avoid any more of that.
In the first slot was 2 A drivers up front with the rest D's. I mysteriously gained a penalty on my first qualifying lap (still can't work out why) and ended up at the back. Finished 19th and was promoted to 13th because other drivers fail to follow the tyre rules.
In the 2nd slot only one A driver with the rest D's. So advantages on Fuji. I stuffed my qualifying again. This time the lap was clean but I forgot to put the soft tyres on and was only 12th (my quickest lap would have only got me 8th or so anyway). I finished 16th (2nd last) but was promoted to 13th again, and again got 9 points.

Umm, wasn't expecting much but this is a real low. Guys in front start racing on the first flying lap, they wreck and I get a 1 sec penalty trying to dodge the carnage. Ruined both laps, now p19 of 19. Was easily fast enough to be top 10. Oh well. The car and my driving haven't been good yet so could be an adventure.

Edit: And what an adventure. Was p13 by end of lap 1, p10 by end of lap 3. Carnage everywhere, hits, slams, outright punts. I got slammed in the rear in turn 1 at least 3 if not 4 of the laps. Blasted wide at the turn to head back up the hill nearly every lap. Wild dives on the uphill bit and that hairpin left. All with heavy contact. Absolutely psycho. I could probably do better with a 2 stop but ffs I said I was only doing 1 shot attempts at this. Tires would probably also have done massively better if I wasn't spending nearly 15 pct of my entire driving time recovering from being hit. Had a free fall after trying to revenge some crazy hits without earning penalties and ended up all the way back to p17. Utter. . . . Total. . . . Crapshow of a race. Screw those muppets. Was a lot.like the Nurb GP Nations race. So brace yourselves and pray for good lobbies.
And the car wasn't actually totally terrible.

Is there even a point in trying with the Megane Trophy?
I seem so far off after some laps, might just give up.
Kie25 seems to sit this one out, always a bad sign....

I'm also in the Slophy, I'm definitely sitting this one out.

The Viper can get on the leaderboard for the next Nations Cup race. Good to not need to use the same car over and over to be competitive.

That's good to know. I think I may take the chance to 'cheat' on my Porsche in this Gr3 race... just to see what life is like when you have top power. Especially given that this is a power track, with the three long sections. I recently tried out the Ford GT at Spa as well... it was surprisingly tame handling-wise, and had really flexible power available from low revs. (Though I wish they'd have put the new GT in the game too). So maybe that or the Viper...

2 stops seem a better strategy for corvette... tried 1 stop and started with medium. Wanna kill myself because of the understeer starting from lap 7 lol

The 9s pit loss from an extra stop isn't possible to make up, even with fresh softs. I tried both the 2-stop and 1-stop strategy in practice races, and the 1-stop was slightly faster, even in the Corvette.

Or be really good in 8 of 20 races, haha. I might bet on myself. I've gotten more points every round I've raced so far, so maybe it'll continue.
You and me are opposites then. I started strong and have been declining ever since. But I do like the BMW's. The M6 is where I've struggled to hold pace though. Can a manu's car selection be swapped between without it triggering a manufacturer change?

live crash test

Watching to get pointers for my race in NA this evening. Looked like there was a lot of aggression and dive-bombing early on. I enjoy how you have the steering wheel view overlaid in the HUD. Good luck!

Tried both as well... both came to the finish line at the last place... I’m done with the gr4 corvette...

Laughs in PUG. I have no intent in making up the 9s loss from the pit. But after some testing, a 2-stop is still faster in this thing. By lap 5 on RS i lose 2s per lap, lap 6 is 3s per lap, etc. It's mostly lost in the 3rd sector. The PUG seems to demand a 2 stop and even then need to do 5 RM laps + 2 stints of RS for the remaining 8.

I will probably qualify decent but there's 0 possibility of keeping up with the race. Just going to try and hide the tears on the inside where no one can see them.

Completely screwed my qualifying laps and ended up starting dead last. So I started on the medium compound and tyre hoping to make up ground as idiots as Infront murdered each other. That didn't happen but I made a couple of moves and was in 15th when I pitted on lap 7 for soft tyres. Then it went down hill as a couple of stupid drivers weaving under braking and general stupidity cost me time and positions. Then in the final lap one of these idiots in a Cayman decided to try and drive me into the grass on the way to the finish, only for me to refuseing to huge leaving him the the wall, Karma! Lambo was really struggling with understeer aswell especially at the end of the stints overall not a particularly good manufacturer on the whole so far, wish I'd gone with one of other choices, even prefer to be with Ferrari ATM. Going to be focusing on nation's from here out as I'm done with both lambos for now.

Same here in the Jag. I'll have to 2 stop. My tires are shreddy shreddy (LF greater than 50% worn) after 6 laps on softs. I think that a bunch of others will 2 stop in my split based on the practice race I ran last night. It might be more of a viable strategy than some think.

I expected a lot worse aggression and dive bombs,
dont like how trophy sabotaged first qualy lap for everyone
what bugs me is that M4 cant keep up with nsx on the straight even with slipstream
and thank you

Started 6th finished 6th!

Decided to start on Mediums hoping to stay in slipstream of cars on Softs in front but sadly I lost the tow and ended up losing a couple of positions to cars running Softs behind me. Pitted lap 5 for Softs and started to chase down the cars in front. Pitted again lap 9 for Softs again and caught up and got back into 6th. Very last corner, was passing a slow TT to take 5th but he decided to Purposely force me wide onto the rough so I had to stick with 6th. Think I was the only person 2 stopping!

Definitely dropping Lambo after this season though
