If it's an accident just say "I'm sorry" then you have done your part. It happens to us all. As long as we apologize and doesn't capitalize on it, it's all racing.

If the person sending me the message hadn't called me and idiot and told me to kill myself I'd have apologized. Instead I just reported the message and blocked him. I wasn't in the mood for that.

Oh, if he send that in a ps message and you reported him he is getting what he deserves.
A week's ban from ps services likely.
Good for you, he was way out of line.

Saturday's races completely destroyed my DR/SR to the point that I frankly wonder if it's worth trying to race competitively until the current pandemic restrictions shows significant signs of easing, because there seem to be more nutters taking part than usual. It could take me weeks of trying the 'safer' daily races to get back where I was before.🤬 I have to admit to taking revenge on the cheats in the final races are there were barely 20 points available in the lobbies I'd ended up in, which I wouldn't otherwise have done. I was even getting penalties for the most ridiculous things - including the merest side-rub. And even someone tapping me at the start of the race I began in P2 simply because I had wheelspin. Neither his fault or mine, yet I got a penalty!

Even the Dailies I tried in between largely ended up being ram-fests.

To rub salt into the wound, my final race not only had two complete :censored:s I've had the misfortune to encounter in previous races (more on them shortly), but my G29 kept cutting out from half distance, resulting in me cruising into walls. It looks like I have crushed the power cable when I reattached the wheel to my desk after repairing the steering column. I'll now have to test before racing, and possibly cut and slice it if it's still cutting out.

So, two compilations of all my races.

That last race...

You'll have seen some of their actions. One of them actually had the gall to 'warn' the rest of the racers about the other one before the race!
Battle of the Bullies:

Trust me, that is tame compared to what I've experienced from them before!

When Flight Simulator 2020 is finally released, I think Ill be spending more time relaxing in the skies than stressing on the track...

I find Gr1 cars the most enjoyable to race with, cleanest racing too. Iam thinking back at the La Sarthe daily race a couple months ago. Just practice with the ones you have and it will be fun. Iam going to be practising with the old Group C cars, I just love driving them and don't care If it means I place lower.
Agreed. I usually get my best results in high speed, high downforce cars, so I'm looking forward to this race, as well as the one in the next stage at Laguna Seca and the F1500T race. I'll probably use the Toyota TS050 though, as much as I'd love to actually use the Group C cars (c'mon, PD you already have Gr. B, why not actually make Gr. C its own class like that so we can competitively use them?!)

Glad to say after just few monthes on the game, I have stopped FIA races whether it's nations or manufacturers.

Dragon Trail Seaside, a track I particularly like, qualified 3rd finished 17th... Yes that was it. Even with the best in race lap, I realised, if you get taken out first corner and then you are midpack, there you will find all those stupid loosers.

I don't know why I keep playing that. A game is a game and not supposed to be annoying. As this mode is unplayeable and as I am looking for a realistic gameplay, I give up.
I wish they could make a racing game cost you 500bucks with a monthly subscription of 10bucks or so, so that only intelligent people would play it.

Because rich people all play fair? Have you seen how the average* BMW/Audi/Mercedes/Range Rover driver behaves in the real world? A sense of entitlement, because they have an expensive car, to intimidate other road users to give them the space 'they deserve more'.

I think you'd find a number of people saying, "I spent £/$/€ 500, so I'll play how I want" as they smash you off the track.

* Not all, of course.

Rd 9 -Nations and Manufacturer's Cup

Nations

1st slot: Chose the AMG, as it is the car I trust most on Dragontail. I did a pretty crap quali and started the race in P14. Of course there was 1st lap drama so I got up to 8th pretty fast. In the 3rd lap I spun in sector 2 at the esses so all my progress was wiped out. Still managed to do a pretty good recovery up until 9 until I pitted and I came out in 12th with 4 cars pretty close ahead. However, in the next lap I was wiped out in the right hander at the end of sector1 by a lagging Peugeot. Finished dead last, but just 27s from the winner with those issues.

2nd slot: Seeing that I had a decent pace I remain with the AMG, but decided to do a more aggressive shortshift so I can extend the 9 laps worth of fuel. To my surprise, I shared the lobby with another Romanian. I bottled the quali, starting in 15th - my fellow countryman was in P11. A lot of drama at the start, I was 5th in the 1st chicane but had to serve a 2s penalty because of a slight tap to a Beetle which already lost control and was spinning. So I was 9th after the penalties and started to keep a consistent pace and do a lot of shortshifting. I gained a few positions because others spun or pitted and I was even 1st for 2 laps with 7s gap before I pitted in lap9. Gotout in 5th, with the front 4 in sight and did short work of the Beetle in front to Gain P4. My countryman was right behind as he did not pit yet so I gave him a tow for 2 laps until he slided his Ferrari a bit on worn tyres and I broke the slipstream. I did manage to close the 3s gap to the three in front but being the last lap I did not risk to push the limit and I settled for 4th and 135p. This was enough to put me 4th in Romanian leaderboards with a 365 points in total.

Manufacturers

As I did not have time to test properly the cars I decided to stick with Alfa. As I noticed from 1.58 patch, the car can't really be trusted in timetrial so I was not too concerned when my best practice time was a 2.05.4. I was getting a bit concerned when I saw that I could only manage a 2.06.3 in quali and I was only 17th on the grid. The race itself was a disaster - I was overtook by all cars in the ascending esses and then I struggled to keep the pace with them on and ascending area. I was dead last and having a 4s gap all race until a fellow in a GT86 served a 4s penalty in the last lap and I managed to get past. Finished 19th - one and done.

I regret sticking with Alfa - as I think they completely destroyed the GR.4 car and the GR.3 is mediocre. I will try one more race with GR.4 and if I have pretty much the same result I will not do the GR.4 races anymore. I am still putting myself hopes in getting decent results in the GR.3 races, as I favour Brands Hatch and N24.

do feel that currently there are a lot more of dirty drivers in the game, and maybe the easy entry is a cause of that. the game is cheap by now and anyone can enter a race easily. I see a lot of drivers a am friends with in the game ( and i approached them bacause l like their behavior on track) have recently stopped playing the FIA races, and in all cases after a severe DR/SR drop. So assume the quit because of incidents on track?

Worst is that ones own attitude changes as well. Last FIA race i felt like being in a ring with both Tyson and Holyfield, being hit everywhere. in the end i threw a punch back, throw the towel and left the ring. Offcourse punished with a severe DR/SR drop, but understand and accept that.

I did a few daily races after that and got to aggresive myself, and although it got a few good results, i did not like the way my attitude on track had changed. So i set my mindset back on the last reace to being a gentlemen racer again, and offcourse got rearended into the gravel. :banghead:

So think i will pass on the next few races, as i can only do the 00.20 slot coming home from work and seems there are more freaks driving at that time. Fed up with the aggresion one encounters. (get enough of that at work)
Also the Renault RSO is a POS after the update, twitchy on soft tyres, nervous as hell on hard tyres.

PS Ted EVELYN Mosby: I have driven a BMW 530i for six years and have always been a safe, repsonsible and polite driver ;)
A**holes can be found in any type of car. (just a bit more in German Premiums)

I effing love that show!

Think me and my wife have seen most episoded at least 7 times, probably more. and we constantly refer to the show in real life!
"legen....dary, big fudge, major dissapointment" and so many others
also had some used the music of some of my favourite bands in the show, like Band of horses and Nada surf.

cwatched the Krav Maga episode this weekend and still bursting in laughter when that girls kicks Ted to the ground in the restaurant. (I'm not F-able!?)

Ain't talking about those that drive a super old Porsche Cayenne or a crap BMW, etc that cost the same price as your basic brand new Polo and that are total sweats.

What I am trying to say is that if people have to spend a lot on something, they will be more careful with what they spend their money on.
The game currently costs 10/20 bucks so anyone buys it and just "has fun"

As I hinted at, there's an exception to every rule, though I'd still be suspicious if I saw you drive near me.;)

And don't tell everyone my middle name!

Oh, I fully got your point, but I still think you'd experience a number of entitled players, regardless of price.

My friend’s response when I mentioned signing with BMW.

It's How I met your Mother. I think it's a generation thing, my kids love it.
That's what we call a 'whoosh' moment in the UK, as in my joke went over your head!

My username and avatar are of Ted Mosby's self-created alter ego in HIMYM.:D

I actually feel dirty when I drive a BMW in a racing game!

Looks like PD are getting around the exploit that was found with the Gr.4 Huracan by providing the car for everyone (like daily A) for round 11. Interestingly they aren't doing it for the other rounds that are one makes.

funny how people can think so differently about basically the same thing: I could never understood why someone would buy a brand new Polo while you could also get a secondhand luxury sedan or a sportscar for the same amount. :p

to be honest i can understand that :guilty: and when i was driving a BMW I did get different responses in daily traffic then nowadays while driving my current car (Kia Optima hybrid). not many fellow commuters think that i am a drugdealer now.....
the only reason i drove BW was simple economics; my father in law worked at BMW so i got big discounts on parts and maintenance and he could always find good cars with at low prices for me.

have to say they were brilliant to drive, especially the E39. (which IMO is the last really good looking and elegant car BMW has made)
only thing was that the indicators were always broken..........:sly:

That's what I said, it's a generation thing. I simply haven't got your frame of reference...

WE ARE SVEN!!!!!!

What Gr.1 car do you think will be good at Spa? I take it that the TS050 will be the most popular?
The Peugeot LMP is faster than the Toyotas, Audis, Porsche. It accelerates and handles good as well. I was competitive with it at Lago last year. So, even though fuel may come into play, that straight-line speed could help.
