Yeah it would make a huge difference if you only have say, 15 laps of fuel. Four laps on the hards would just be too damaging and you'd have to two stop.I totally forgot about how fuel would play into the strategy. I don't think I could get 18 laps out of a tank of fuel anyway, so I'm 2-stopping regardless.![]()
To compare it though I just had a really good lobby with a guy who I see regularly in FIA races and our laps in practice/qualy were very similar, if anything he generally had a slight speed advantage in the GT-R, although I out qualified him. I did 18M, he did 4M 14S. He was 2.2s behind me when he pitted, and despite having a clear run at me with no traffic, was 3.7s behind at the end of L18 (he did make a small mistake that cost him around 1.5s). So if you can run it, it's a very viable option to jump up a few places if you need them. If you're at the front get the quick tyres on and push for all you're worth!
