So if we do 6PM eastern time on Friday, would that work for everyone interested? Let me know and we can start to get this show on the road.

I would be interested in this but am only available any day Tuesday - Thursday after 9:30 Eastern.

You should pick a time and see if this moves forward.

I can't do 6pm, I need a nice dinner!
Really though, 8ish would be better for me, I don't know about anyone else.

Ok, so we'll go with 7:30 P.M. eastern time. And we can run it Thursday or Friday night. So everyone interested, tell me Thursday or Friday and we'll get it started.

Well I can't make it this Friday, but that doesn't mean I won't try other weeks. I really want to do this.

How about Thursday? Since that would make two others besides myself that want that day.

We should do a preseason type race tomorrow night just to see how it goes. Start sometime between 8pm and 10 pm est. What do you say fresh?

We can do that. Tomorrow @7:30 eastern time I'll open a room. Around 8:00-8:30 we'll do a 20 lap race at Fuji F. Sound good? I'll set a PP limit after we pick the cars and set the HP limits.

Sounds good to me. I have a friend that has hosted 800hp X1 racing in the past. I can ask him to see if he can get some more guys signed up, if you want. I'll use any colour X2010 that isn't being used.

Sounds good. Spread the word, they don't have to come to the thread to sign up. They can just show up and I'll put them down in the thread myself.

will be there tonight to ck it out, please add me LEYBA08. Joe told me about your race series!

I'll be on in a couple hours so if you want to get used to how I want to run this series, we can practice a bit before we start tonight's race.

I'm definitely let down about just getting dropped. But I couldn't rejoin, as I had to call it a night. It was 4 people then?

Yeah, 4 of us. It would have been 6 if you and Pawel had been able to join/stay.

I think we can do this again next week. I'll go back and edit the first posts to show the updated regs. I'm going to add some downforce to the x2011 but just keep HP down.

I think there were issues with the room. Pawel couldn't get in and you were dropped. My only thing regarding the race is that the regulations seemed a bit complicated and will be hard to enforce. We may want to set it at 1000 hp limit and leave everything else open to tuning. 825 hp is still too easy because of the sucker fan. Just my 2 cents. Either way, we need to go with simpler regulations that will be easy to enforce. Fresh - I'm available to help out with the testing etc, so just let me know.

These cars are very easy to drive detuned - very similar to F1 cars. I hope we get more guys.

Pawel has always had issues connecting whenever I see him in certain series. He stopped the room, so I had to boot him. I left so he could come back in, but he still couldn't connect. Don't know what Pipi had going on.

The regs are going to stay close to what they are. I don't want 1000hp. I added weight and decreased downforce. I think that should be good enough. Yeah, they're easy to drive, but that's apart of the appeal. That way someone can just pick it up and go fast. I want the series to attract those who want to drive this car, but can't 'keep up' with it when it has so much hp. The races will be longer than 10 laps as well, so the need for pit stops will come into play. With how fast these cars are, races shouldn't take that long. With the tracks being what they are and going by in a little over a minute- we could race 30-40 laps easy which would need at least one stop.

If they are easy to drive, maybe you could post your settings to share so others can test them and see if it makes them faster. Enforcing the regs isn't hard. You set a HP limit and enter the cars. Then once they're entered you set a PP limit to see if the cars are running too much wing.

It's cool. My set up is top secret, so I can't share it - kidding. I'll post it here later.

Edit: The single best X2010 set up is here: http://www.gt5racecentral.com/tuneredbullx2010.htm

This is a serious racing tune, not a high speed tune for track X or whatever. Tops out at about 269 - very sorry 800 mph guys.

The set up I used earlier will have to wait. My kids are busy watching Netflix.

You were pretty quick, but you have some experience with these cars from running a different series with them already. Finding the limits around some tracks will take a few laps, like Monza- but I think we should run there without the Chicane. Give a long flat out period before the 1st (2nd) chicane. Next week we can run at Monza or at Spa. I'll leave it up to you guys.
