So why do games like AC, GT & PCars opt for a more realistic look if people do not want that look they want the cartoon looking vibe?
I find that gt is just as colourful.

AC doesn't focus on graphics.

PC takes a different path. I prefer this.

Why try and go for ultra realistic physics with advanced tire models then spoil it all with a unrealistic looking of the game? That to me says they are confused on the direction Forza is at.

Because vibrant colors and sunny days aren't realistic?

Go to a outside car show and Forza captures that look spot on.

Watch these videos and tell me how Forza is too vibrant again:

That 60fps footage looks good. Image quality is so much better than in FM5.

Someone on NeoGAF said one of the Turn 10 guys said that everything on FM6 is 60fps, but the guy must have been mistaken.
Reflections AND rain update at 30fps.

We get it!! You've never played forza before and read in a forum that forza had 'cartoon' grfx so like a sheep you persist on following everyone else's opinion who hasn't even played the game first hand.. Now stop with the 'cartoon' nonsense!.

Above ^ there is comparison videos of real life vs Forza 5 WATCH them and be proven wrong.

It's strange that when you dont like something of Forza you get accused of never playing it off the Forza diehards. I have played every single Forza games including the two Horizon games.

I dont need to watch video's to know T10 go for an over saturation of contrast look. Forza is famous for it among the sim community.

My Rewards, Just for you xx

Don't blow kisses at me I'm a man.

Over saturated.. So not cartoony?! Make your mind up.

My dislike of overly bright/saturated colours comes from waaay back in my life when I was on hard times

Crappy bedsit after split with 1st wife. 2nd hand portable tv that for some reason was jammed at bloody
11/10 on the colour control

My most vivid (see what I did there?) memory of that time was trying to watch a Liverpool footy match

Can you imagine the green of the grass and the red of their kit?

I don't think they're the ones who are confused. It's hardly Motor Toon GP.

Look at the date. The game still had a good ways to go in development(especially in the looks department) at that point.

The game looks pretty pathetic on consoles, sure, but it feels like it was only ported to give console owners the gameplay, while letting the PC owners hold onto the game's undeniably gorgeous graphics.

In all honesty it's a pretty ugly game imho, american tracks in particular all look rubbish with early 360 level textures and geometry. I suspect that the majority of the tracks carried over from Shift 2 with slight alteration, and graphically the game is not a big departure from Shift 2.

Then it's a double shame because the gameplay is rubbish too, broken controls, bugs everywhere you go, wonky physics engine. Can't believe I bought into the hype and got the digital version at full price no less. Fool me once, SMS, never again.

I'm sorry but have you even tried the game? You got em at "wonky physics". I have nothing against Forza, but Project CARS physics engine is miles ahead of Forza's. Also, all the tracks have been rebuilt from the ground up, including much better textures but this thread is for FM6 videos, so why do you keep posting FM5 comparison videos trying to prove something.

I have the game man, maybe it's the Xbone version, but the tracks in PCars are not good, I'd be hard pressed to put them next to FM4/GT6 in terms of detail, let alone currentgen projects like FM5/6 and F1.

So instead of considering the proof posted on this page, you'd prefer to go on your predetermined opinion. Yep, sounds reasonable.

It's either saturation or contrast. Two different things.

Proof? Ive been playing Forza from 1-5 as well as both horizon games each one of them bought on day one so i know how Forza games look...head over to the official forums and youl see the same issues i have with the look of the game brought up quite a bit...head over to neogaf and youl see the same result.

The official Forza forum is like a clown car rolled up and everyone got out. It takes reading one post over there to remember why I only visit every 6 months.

Its such a shame Forza used to have the best community bar none...but with the direction the game started heading in and the crazy over zealous mods they wrecked the community in just a few years.

They wrecked their own community by removing almost 500 cars from the previous game and half the tracks along with removing auction house and storefront. To get the game launched with the X1. So yes its understandable the community has been bitter with the release of F5. I was one of those bitter customers. I have been a long time Forza fan but it was by far the most disappointing game of the series imo. That's why I did not buy F5. It came free with my X1 along with BF4.

F6 is what F5 should have been. So at least they are heading back in the right direction with a chance at redemption. I am actually very excited for Forza 6. Almost the same level of excitement I had for Horizon 2 and Forza 4. :)

FM5 seems to be like a very large demo almost, eh? I like it though and I'm very much looking forward to FM6

I agree with F5 feeling like a demo.

Seriously? 200 cars and 14 locations is a demo for you? In this case most racing games are demos.
F4 had almost 700 cars and about twice the locations along with a storefront and auction house. Yes F5 feels like an unfinished demo compared to the previous title.

Luckily F6 seems to be heading in the right direction again. F7 will for sure have more cars than F4. I predict F7 launching with at least 750-800 cars.

I'm not going to say FM5 felt like a demo based on car count - I find it strange that people can simultaneously complain about GT's reliance on outdated Standards, but then also complain about the (relatively) small list in FM5 - but the track count did feel sparse. GT2 had more, so the career mode in FM5 feels incredibly repetitive. It helps the cars are such a joy to drive though.

What really hurts FM5, IMO, is the lack of community features. FM4 introduced Rivals, and the payouts were way better, but not having clubs, car gifting, the auction house, or store front makes FM5 feel so much more isolated.

Not a fan of the cartoon look Turn 10 go for. The race at Brands Hatch needs to be abandoned with all those hazards

What's the deal with the red Audi at the start? It looks as if the car is being rendered above the particle effects and shadows. It's quite startling. I know it will be fixed for the game's release but they really should have noticed this if they were going to be exhibiting it:

This is what kept me away from Forza after FM4. I hated the rear wheels spinning all the time while using the V8 Supercars. 5th 6th gear aroind turns and 3rd gear corners as well. I'd just turn the game off mid-play. I hope the cars aren't skittish like I felt they were. That's my only deal breaker with the series.
